Lil' Girls - Various Strain Continuous Grow Journal

No, that is standard protocol. I was just saying that if you keep a bulb or 2 6500k you'll see more Chrystals form on your girls. I'd still keep most 2700k for bloom though. ;) Good luck!
For some reason Bloom confuses me. I know its really flower but i almost asked arent 6500k for bloom. Then when you actually think Bloom is really flower. Think I been sober way too long but that white rhino bud is looking Killer. Cindy looking good as well. Keep the goodness coming my man

I know what you mean man. I'm just used to saying bloom instead of flower because I worked in the biz too long. lol We had to be careful with our wording. Stupid government rules. Doh. Thanx for the KIND words man! talk to ya later.

Hey Mr J:thumb:

Man are you busy! Where do you find the energy? :)

You keep it interesting and post some good info too!;)

Soon as my miniature WW finishes.....shouldn't be too long into the next grow,
I will replace her with the Warlock. If the my gods smile on me, other wise it will be the Motivation. :)

lol, It's really not all that much stuff. I just do one thing at a time. do what I can. Recently I've been dealing with a tricky potassium toxicity thats creating a magnesium and nitrogen lock out in a couple of my blooming plants. After some testing and research and what not, I'm thinking that maybe I got a bad batch of the coir. (being cheap and cutting the corners. lol) So I've ben extra busy dealing with all that on top of everything else.

Also I just installed 2 x 2' flourescents 6500k into the Tent for extra trichome production. The tent is getting better weekly it seems. (I just wish the plants were. )

I'll post up some picts tonight of everything good and bad if i get the time... :hmmmm:

I hope that the Gods DO smile on you! both those will be great strains. Either will be interesting!!! GO OMM!! WOOHOO!!!! ;) :cheer:

looking good my man ...done this before by any chance lol

Thanx man. Me? Done this before? :passitleft: Um, No, Ofcourse not. :laughtwo:

Man, toxic crap. One thing leads to another to another. At least you know what caused it.:smokin:

6500K sounds good in the tent. Pack em on!

Bout time the mj gods give you a little help too.!:thumb:

Well, At least I THINK I know what is causing it. I know pH is good, and I'm using the same exact nute schedule that I have been for the last 5 yields (well, until mix last week when I switched to organics for bloom) but the problem started before that, so I know It's not the cause. Everything was the same exept I got a different brand of Coir from a local greenhouse and I think it had more Potassium in it initially than what I've been using, and reacted to the high levels that I have been adding normally. I flushed the 2 that were showing symptoms, and re-potted Medusa into a larger pot so that she can get her roots into some NEW coco, Started spraying with a foliar of 16-0-0 Nitrogen, and GH BioWeed Kelp for the micros and she is recovering, but slowly. I know I lost out on some yield weight because of this crap, but hey, I'll just add another X to my collection and another file to my list of things I've had to deal with in grows. lol ITs A Long List. hahaha..... I Hope the gods smile on me too, but I think they're just bored and wanted to see what I'd do in a new scenario. lol Never got Bunk coco before (If that IS what it is.) :hmmmm: :hmmmm: :hmmmm:

...And yea, I think the blue spectrum is going to really up my game with Trichomes. It'll be interesting to watch, thats for sure. I'll post it here when I can ofcourse.

Talk to you later OMM!:cheer::allgood: :peace:

Serious Trich action!!

Thanx for dropping in man. You like the trichs? Heres my favorite to date! Enjoy! And don't forget to bring your snowsuit!

yep, the pap x pap, and the cindy x pap...sound great....
oh and the blackberry is gorgeous, and smells like them, its nearly black, and the colas can be hugh....one of my last trips to canada found them...wish i could go back, may have to try to get a passport, its not canada, its getting back into the states without one....makes me angry...
the ducks feet has a web foot (leaf), i'll take a pic of it tonight for you, and i dont know about the smoke on either one....never tried, but im growing them...so we'll see....sorry about the migraines...those things hurt...lavendar:peacetwo:

that rhino looks like it can crush some1

Yea, she'll crush you if you take more than a toke or 2. Wipes the schedule clean. lol

so JL if i were to keep all my 6500k running and add the same amount but 2700k you think that would work to really bring on lots of trichs?

So your talking about doubling your lights? ...adding the same ammount that you have now in 2700k? so you'd have equal parts warm and cool white floourescent, double the wattage? Yea, that extra wattage would get you better yields, and the mixed spectrum would infact help create more crystals on the buds, but it's still going to be strain dependant (but better either way) and you will have to take the extra heat into consideration. How many degrees above room temp do your lights raise your garden, and Double it at least. Can you handle the heat? Even on a really hot day? That should be the main question. Also, Hypothictically in the best case scenario you want to have around 50w per square foot. So take the wattage of all of your plant lighting in the room, add it all up, and divide it by the square footage of the room. For example 250w in a 2 x 2' space would be 250/4 = 62.5 watts per square foot. So in that scenario you'd be over the 50w mark. Great lighting.

(sorry if you already know this, but I thought it might help.) Also, with flourescents I prefer to go by actual wattage, and not equivelant output.

Hope that helps man.:goodluck:

No worries about the migrains. they come and go in clusters usually. I think their gone now. I havent had any for a few days, and they are usually months inbetween. Just extremely shitty when it happens.

Yea, I'll be interested in having the cindy X papaya. those are both great strains and will no doubt have great offsring. I want one with the cindy punch and the papaya yield and smell. Thats the goal. and the Papaya f2 (i'll just call it that, but who knows how much Nirvava has really inbred them?) should hopefully show some variation in phenos. I'm really looking forward to the rhino x papaya cross though, that will be a great great GREAT cross one I get it right. I want the papaya yield with papaya x rhino combined taste and Rhino sativa dom pheno. It may take me a while to get that one fine tuned, but it'll be well worth the work. I would guess it'll be like a up and down rollercoaster effect all rolled into one. I hope anyways. lol

If you dont mind me asking, why are you so interested in the Papaya x papaya cross? did you grow out some papaya seeds with very different phenos? Just curious Lavendar.

I can't wait for the pictures of the Duckfoot. If thats how it grows, It would be a trickster plant to grow outdoors, and might actually fool alot of novice Poachers. sweet. I just hope that the quality isn't effected iin the inbreed, but I can almost guarentee that it is at least a little. Hybrid vigor is out probably.

By for now lav!!

I know you didn't ask me, but yes. :cheer: When it comes to CFLs, the more the merrier! :)

and this is during bloom right? Good to know :) the more trichs the more hash you can make :yummy: I think:smokin:

Yep in bloom. I go by number of lumen's per sq ft. The more lumen's the better off you are. One of my boxes has 38000 lumen's. Got to have good cooling though.:) Your right about the trichs and hash. :smokin:

well, took the camera over and the bats dead, so will do tonight, charging now....sorry....the reason i asked about the p x p, is im just more inteto the ibl's and purebreeds....i seem to get enough mixes with the purebred??? phenos now.....right now the only known cross i have is the mazor/gr wh. shark....and it was rec. to me....i did get a white fem rhino seed tho....and the zulu is turning out to be a white one also....i have nothing against crosses, but it is getting hard to find, if not impossible to find landraces anymore....esp. the mex. sativas and there are some reallllllllllygreat ones out there....im planning a old time grow, and having a ***** of a time finding the ones i want....asked everyone and all they could say was read the descriptions, so in my spare time that is what i do....the d.f. really does have extra leaves on it, larger, and floppier.....dont know the strength, but must be good, they grow alot of it in oz....or n. z. not sure but i think its oz....
i have never tried any pap....so i am very curious, esp. with your. rec....i trust what you say....so will try one eventually...
the hubby went to work today so will get busy again now with the plants...he tries to give me a break when hes home, but doesnt put stuff up, so by the time hes done helping, i have a mess...i love him to death, but he is a clutterer, and in smalll spaces everything has its place....right now we have a drip system sitting in the middle of everything and gallon jugs as we are missing some backflow valve that is needed....and we have to go out of town to get the size we need, which is crazy as it is standard size hose....but thats life...so i try hard not to see it and move around it, but it gives me clenched jaws every time i go in there....an eye sore....just my bitch....later, lavendar....lol...

by the by, how do you finish out your white plants? bags? let me know, never done it...thanks, L

Photo Update

Ok, I thought I'd take some pictures so you can see what I've been up too lately. Medusa is recovering from a Potassium Toxicity which locked out N and most likely calcuim, and magnesuim too. I've been spraying N and Kelp to help supliment them while I flushed and adjusted the nutes. Papaya was showing some early symptoms too, so sh was also flushed. This toxicity Has been a very tricky one. The first thing you see is a N deficiency and want to water in more nutrients, but that would only make the K more toxic and lock out more N and other stuff. I'm glad I was able to catch it and not do that or it would have been a total loss. I was running the same exact feeding schedule that I was using on the previous girls, so it was difficult to figure out what happened. Best I can figure is that It's bad Coir. It's the only difference. I cheaped out and bought the cheap stuff from a loval nursery rather than the CocoTek of GH coco that I usually get. Thats what I get by trying to save a buck. I know that some coco is not leached as well as others, and can have Higher ambient levels of calcium and potassium, etc...

Anyways, I also added 2ft 6500k flourescents to the Tent to help increase Trichome production! and have been busy making the latest batch of gumby hash.

here you go!!!

Well thats it for now. All comments and tips on getting them back to health welcome!!!

Bye for now,
jason:)

Also, I've Switched to the GH Bio line of nutes in bloom the last few days, and if I like it they'll all be Hydro Organic from here on. We'll see how it does!

Ok, finally just decided to post....:) Been trying to read your journal from the beginning to catch up on what you are doing....your posts are as long as mine...:Rasta: Needless to say...I am on like page 6 or 7 atm and kinda gave up and just decided to be one with the moment. :slide:

Your girls are looking great, I will have to read a few pages or more back though, am interested in your breeding techniques.

Great job on the hash, how much trim did it take to get that much?

Peace
jason from my little garden in the Rockie's to your's.
