Lil' Girls - Various Strain Continuous Grow Journal

Yes, Hermie pollen is used for feminizing a strain. and either way it will indeed be a great addition, but I need to try to figure out if it's a true male (which I think it is, just has some female pistils) or if it's some strange hard core hermie. Hell, I have never even heard of a hermie with full on male flowers naturally.

Weird. I even stayed up late trying to find any info on the web, but didn't find much. Waste of time if it wasn't for the beer. lol

Thanx for dropping by Conquer. Is it just me or has it been quiet here on 420 the last few days? Hmmmm.....

sounds interesting. Is it making buds, or does it just have a few sparce pistils? Have any pics of it??

And yes, the forums do seem a bit quiet lately. Maybe people are out enjoying the summer or tending to their gardens.:scratchinghead: I know I haven't been logging on as often because I've had non-smoking family members and in-laws staying with us for the last 10 days or so. It's a real b!tch trying to sneak into the garage to water and tend to the plants every day.

hey JL hows tricks?hows your grow going buddy?

Good, good. Been busy with family and veggies outdoors, so I havent been such a couch potato, computer nerd lately, but I'm sure I'll be back on full swing nerd after the 4th. We have all the family here for a mega Fireworks extravaganza every year, and I get to cook up Wicked BBQ and stuff. I'm exited about that. Just wish I had my carbon filter by then, but it's not going to happen. I do have an Ozone generator that i'll put to work for the weekend, and Ona (BULLSHIT) but effective for a day or 2 lol.

Growing is getting back on track. lockout problem solved. WOOHOO!!!

Im actually here to upload pictures and post some fun pics of the garden, so I better get to work. I'll be taking more tonight with the HPS off to get rid of that damn yellow effect on camera.

Later man. Good luck with your little garden! I checked in a couple minutes ago. Looking great!

:cheer::cheer::cheer::roorrip::roorrip:

All sounds great. Good vibe there getting ready for 4th. Good to hear lockout issue gone.

I need pics. I got a jonze on! The hermie, male, female discussion very interesting.

Ok, so I thought I'd put up some new pics for everyone. I'm sorry about the yellow glow.. I'm going to take some pics of the Bloom tent with the lights off tonight. will post them tomorrow. Enjoy!

Twilight.....maybe male, maybe hermie......Hmmmm.....working on figuring it out.

Thanx man. It should be great 4th. we all drink ourselves silly and play with fire. lololol Like a redneck wedding.

I'll be posting better, and more in depth pics of the bloom tent tomorrow (or tonight if I dont get too hammered) so I can get some input on the twilight he/she. lol They will be without the HPS. that sucks I know.

thanx for dropping in man, how are you? Hows the recovery? and how did the Volde turn out?

talk to you later man!:grinjoint:

:passitleft:Evening brother...everything is looking great.

Hey the way I understand the whole Male / Female / Hermi thing is that Marijuana is one of seemingly few plants (that I can think of) that carry tendencies for 3 separate genome sets (think that is the proper term, ehhh close enough). It can be male or female or androgynous (most plants are androgynous I think).

Feminized seeds are produced from female (strong non hermi traits) plants are picked and then are forced by stressor's (silver thiosulfate is one) into producing female flowers. These are found in the bud mass generally and once they open they look much like any flower. It is the location from which they sprout that indicates which genetic trait that plant has dominant. I have heard using female pollen can inadvertently increase it's offsprings chances of being androgynous though so minimize backbreeding with females or you will have hermi's as a relatively high offspring chance. I only plan on one time (am gonna try with my SLH I think) and make enough to not have to again with that strain.

And I have experience with true hermi's...they sprout balls from below the budding site, not in it...well later in the grow they threw a few there too but that could of just been age feminization in an unstable strain.

Or so I have :reading420magazine: here and there....:)

:peace: brother. Great Journal BTW.

i get a few buds with one or two male flowers in the middle of the buds, i usually pick, with tweezers ... then life goes on, but i figure for every one i find there are probably 20 hiding....fems that do that have a few seeds but only a few...and are 95% fem seeds....so if i get one i consider it a bonus at the cost of seeds....need sleep, so closing...later, lavendar...

Beep! No great all knowing thoughts, but your garden is beautiful my friend.:) Your amazing Mr J How do you keep up? Your multitasking skills
are amazing!:bravo:

The forth around here is like a war zone. Hawaii has a large base of orientals and they love fireworks. Well, we all do! They sell permits for the big stuff, you know the big star burst things that boom way up there and turn into big flaming particles. However, there are boatloads of illegal fireworks too. There are a number of days we just stay home with the water hoses ready. New Year's eve,
Chinese New Years and the Forth of July. On street where I live it becomes really hard to breath and we have a free hours long fireworks show. I know I sound like an old man, but I am, and I don't want my house to burn down, so masks on and water hose in hand to put out falling debris. One guy on my street could buy a new house with what he shoots off every year and he is just one of thousands. The police and firemen hate it! They are busy. Next morning the news paper is full of pictures of the houses that have burned down and list of all the people in the hospitals from burns. We only had two deaths on Chinese New Year and that was good news!
Hawaii is definitely the place to be if you like fireworks.:cheer:

Glad to read that you've (hopefully) tackled your toxicity(?) issue. Other than that, things look great.

Thanks for stating that white rhino would allow you to crash even with a bad head. That sounds like it could be (figuratively) a lifesaver for me. When I've got bad ones I don't even bother trying because it often makes them worse which is a real buzz-killer.

I believe that the romulian(sp?) is supposed to be especially affective for migraines. I'm not sure if it'll touch a cluster-headache though as I've never gotten to try it.

Hey JL! Those plants are looking beautiful! Even the frosty one that you have seeding. Never have tried breeding, so it's a new sight to see a full seeding plant. Somehow I didn't imagine that a knocked up plant would be so wonderfully sugar coated!

Your doing an awesome job. I can't wait to see how the next generations turn out. You got me hooked for sure!

OMM!

Yea, I've spent quite a few 4th's in Waik's and it gets pretty hectic. We'd usually bring down a few cases of beer and spliffs and camp out in the sand amidst the madness...good times! The Aloha state sure loves a good party!! Looking back, I'm suprised that we didn't see anything real serious besides a couple burnt hands.
Hope you have a great and safe 4th brotha!!

thats a hand full of clones

yea it is. I think about 30 clones worth. My best was 65 from one small mother like that, but I only need one or two nowadays. gotta keep the numbers low. thanx for stopping by!

Trichs are looking sick my man, hope u aint too wasted. Actually i revoke that as I am SOBER!
yea I got pretty hammered. lol felt like shit the next morning, and had a full schedule. I'm still recovering. oh well, better get that out of the system now, I dont know how much longer I can deal with a hangover....

yea, those little flouros really do good on thrich growth. good for hash, but it makes it harder to get the seeds out. I think I'll manage . lol
see ya!

Hey thanx for stopping in, and the great info man! thats pretty much what I thought, but extra inut is great. Yea, thats what she's doing, having male flowers on the bottoms, just below budsites. easy enough to rub off, but I'm weary of them getting inthe buds. Onece i find more than a couple like that I'll have to put her down, but till then I'll stay optimistic, and pluck off the few I see. I guess that would be why they rated her for outdoors? probably. I wish that plants that do that would come with a disclosure. lol
So you'd think that she's a natural hermie then? I've never had one do this type of herm. Only bananas in the past. Hmmm. interesting at least!

see ya man! Thanx again for the input!

Those are the ones that I get occasionally too. Never anything like what the Twilight is doing. It did sex fairly early as female, but showed a couple male parts to, but they were malformed before flower. I'd be sure to keep an eye out on yours! I'm interested to see what yours does. We'll know if it's the strain, or just my seed.
Thanx for dropping in Lav!!!:cheer:

Hi man! thanx for the compliments man! Mucho GrassyAss. I just go one step at a time and eventually make it to the end........usually. lol

Sounds pretty wild out there on the island! I'd have to have a mask too if I were you. I'm on the north east side of denver, so the wind blows all the smoke from everyones fireworks thrue here before it blows away. Smells like the inside of a volcano. At least it's only a day though. Sonds like you get a few yearly doses. No bueno. Yea, I bet those firefighters just swear like sailors for a wekk or 2 before and after the 4th and chinese new year.
I do remember seeing alot of oriental people out there. Much like disneyland. For the most part I like orientalpeople. The Hot japanese girls are my favorite, and the recipes are tops. Thai especially. I'd probably get in trouble with the missus out there. lol j/k.....Hmmmm......I dunno. too many hot asian girls.... :yummy:

Thanx for dropping in man! How are the new girls comming along?

looking great reps to ya bro:bravo:

Thank you Scaredeecat! appreciate the reps! Stop in any time. It should get more interesting soon here, plants are starting to pack on weight, and the Hybrid crosses are going to be done SOMETIME soon i hope.

High JL, wow, I lay out for a week and have 20 minute catch up. Great job on Medusa's resuscitation :cheer: Those tops are packed in tight :bravo:

:peace:
Thank you man. I think that what helped the most was a light foliar of Kelp for added micros, and stuff. It helped with my recovery for sure. she is blooming crazy now. I wouldn't doubt that the problem has set back my harvest date though. wouldn't be the first time.

Glad to read that you've (hopefully) tackled your toxicity(?) issue. Other than that, things look great.

Helloha TS, I hope everythings been good on the homefront! no problem about the post. It helps, but only lets me sleep on the comedown. The romulan does have pain killing qualities, but for me gives me those psychadelic gitters though sometimes. Much like Belladona (one of my favorites) they are higher on the psychoactive scale of cannabis. Love the Bella, but thats not a medicinal strain for me. I made some brownies from the trim on that one time, and I could swear that I was hearing shit sometimes. WEIRD. lol, great smoke though. a little harsh, but KILLER. I think that those 2 strains are from the same genetic pool.

It has been a while though, so maybe I'll try her out again...see how I react now.

Hi man. thanx for dropping in. Yea, it really is amazing how the product when seeds are your harvest. They really pack on the stickies. makes it a pain to get the little beans from their pods, but It'll get done regardless. I'm expecting the papaya to add higher yield and maybe a couple extra weeks ont the cindy's flowering pattern, but using the Cindy as the mother and the papaya as the father the plants should stay closer to the cindy line. Maybe the papaya father will also shorten the node spacing of the Cindy. that would be cool. Man, that papaya I have in bloom is BY FAR the sweetest smelling plant that I have ever had. Smells like the tropical friut you get in syrup out of the cans.......but better. Much better and sweeter. no skunk or rotten smell to her. You can tell that they have been inbreeding that strain for a while over at NIRVANA though... she has her hillbilly moments. slight leaf and stem mutations. Thats good for me, because due to hybrid vigor my crosses yields will blow the original Papayas yield out of the water. I can almost guarentee that at least. lol

see ya man!:peace::rollit:

Awesome garden as always Bro! :bravo:
Everytime I see your bonzai tech I'm amazed! :adore::adore::adore:
Thanks for sharing your grow J! I love seeing all the different ways the 420 nation grows their herb and your's is always so fascinating! keep it up Bro!

hey there bandit how was vegas? or are you still there? I probably would be. lol thanx for dropping in man. and thank you for the compliments! It is an interesting tek, but with more overhead in bloom now I might not have to do soo much of it. I;ll still use the LST and tydown to start them, but will be letting them get bigger. Such a difference a couple of feet makes. It is deffenatly interesting seeing all of the diff styles though. How is your deathstar growing latly by the way? any new pics there? I havent intercepted any real posts over there, but I've been checking up. LuRkInG...

hope all is well!
jason:grinjoint:

WOW!

That last set of pics is awesome! What variety of quality plants and projects! The medusa colas look like a shot out of a movie!

:bravo::nicethread::rollit::peace:

Hi PG! how are ya man. thanx for droping in. yea, they are growing fat. I got a good angle for them, but they still look kind of shitty. the lower leaves anywho. the new growth is fast and furious, so i think i got the lockout taken care of.....at least for now. I'm still playing with the new Organic nutes, so it's still a little tricky. so far so good though. I have to thank Orangeblood for hooking up the dosage list for me on that one. I dont follow it exact, but it was a nice basis, and helped get it figured at first. thanx man!:bravo:

I think that the Papaya will be great smoke too. she started slow, but is working her way to the top of the list now. I was going to post pics yesterday, but got lazy. I'll have some true color pics soon.

talk to you later man!
jason
