ok, so I'm not asleep yet. what can I say. this Cindy99keeps me up. lol
This question is for Lavendar. I know your out there, and probably awake too. I was looking into Passion #1 before I got it, and saw a couple reads that said that Passion #1 is actually Amstel Gold. I'm hoping thats accurate since I'm looking for some of these 'old skool' or Grass roots varieties to breed. I figure that like the strains of today one must go back to the basics inorder to start breeding a completely new variety. Using 'Heirlooms' if you will. Until recently I've worked with Hybrid x Hybrid for the most part, but now that I have the whole genetic/breeding thing mostly memorized (mostly, but not all mind you) I should step back, and look at the heritage. This I feel will allow me access to much more Pure heritage DNA than these new strains, giving me more of an easily controllable cross, allowing me easier and better gene selection. I dunno, just a theory for now, but not for long. This should be very interesting to say the least.
