Lil' Girls - Various Strain Continuous Grow Journal

go jason it's your birthday haha awesome man that is fantastic glad to hear you got such a great yield:thumb:and that jl247 in nugs pic with the badass smiley and graffiti style 420 should be your avatar if it shows up haha:Rasta: great pics and congratulations my brotha:cheer:

thanx man, yea the yield was nice for me. any more and I would have been over the limit, so I got just about max that I could. Thats part of the reason that I gave away the 1/2 to a friend. with the brownie mix and trim I would have been over for sure. All good now. I just gotta figure out how to get my total down more to be ready for the harvest of Chrystal in the next couple of weeks. lol Hmmm.....Herb anyone? lololol

Yea, I get bored doing the scale and jar work, and thats what happens. I get all artsey fartsey. The wife thinks I'm weird for doing pictures in weed, but I asked her, "What yould you have me do? Be boring?" hahaha, she just smiles and smokes more of the stash. I know she appreciates it. Without that creativity My garden wouldn't be what it is. Thats a good Idea making an avatar with that. maybe I'll throw that pic into Photoshop and tweak it a little when I got a min.
see ya around,
J

Hi Mr J I use the Botanicare Pure Blend soil Pro Bloom, Cal-Mag,
Silica Blast, Liquid Karma, Gravity, and one more I should pick up this weekend, and Molasses. Started slow,,,,now the are getting full doses. Was looking at them today and the buds are putting on weight. The one I pick this weekend is the one with beneficial s in it. So that should cover it for me. I like these nutes and they are good for me. Much better than the Fox Farm stuff.:grinjoint:

Aah, sticking with Botanicare. Very great nutrients. I had the opportunity of talking to the owner of american Agritech a while back (Maker of botanicare) and he's a really nice guy. Younger than I would have thought. Anyways, I learned alot from that guy, and love how to the point they are with their nutrient line. no bull, no runaround, and no secret ingredients. Your plants will (and are) thrive with that line. About the beneficials, they are a wonderfull addition to the garden, but just know that later in bloom they arent as beneficial if you add them late because they take time to properly colonize the medium. More for the beneficial fungus than the bacteria. the bacteria will colonize quicker and help more than fungus on short notice, but if you add them in early veg you'll even save money on nutrients since the Myocrhizal will help break down the nutes and make them more useable to your plants/thus enableing you to drop doses down a little. At least with the macro and micro nutes. I dunno if they will do that with the non-plant food additives like karma and such.

P.S. Whats the deal with Gravity? what does it do, and how well does it do it? Do you know if it is organic and/or whats in it?

thanx for stopping by!!

Great Haul J Beautiful buds!
That should help the stash!:surf: Great pix by the way;)
I can smell them from Here!!!:thumb:

Thank you OMM, Yes that should most definatly help the Med stash. haha, or make the stash, since we were out. ;) I only wish some of the pics would have come out better, alot I trashed cause they were blurry. oh well. N' I got the damn camera all sticky and am out of rubbing alcohol to clean it with. I guess it'll just have to be sticky for a couple days. lolol

It's funny, the Rhino smells soo strong it burns your nose, Like hash or thai spice concentrate and Cindy smells very tropical and fruity with undertones of musk. very nice to have the variety. Much like your girls, but I cant wait to try the Papaya once they are done. I've been dreaming of that herb for a while, and finally got off of my arse and bought the seeds. A couple more weeks and the 2 clones will go into bloom. WOOHOO!

wow, that is beyond great or most of those words....very very nice...proud of you....great job....and beautiful besides....great pics also...later, lavendar:cheer::cheer:

haha, thank youLavendar! I'm glad to hear from ya night owl. I am happy about how they are turning out. lots of nice topnugs. I remember you were asking about yield on the smaller plants, well, Candy (cindy99/1) was 1'8" and yielded 42g not too bad, and she was a 60 day strain (about 25% or so Amber at day 60) so she's a keeper, and W. Rhinos yielded 73g so...what thats 36.5g each at 1'9" ? and at 60 days they were at least 30% amber. they are actually more couchlock than the Cindy. Cindy just makes you wanna get up and move. Much like a Sativa. Its strange since my W.R. showed very sativa dominant traits, and cindy looked to be much more indica dominant. Maybe I should rename my grow Topsy Turvy or 'The Funhouse" lolol. I dunno, but it is definatly backwards. not a bad thing tho.

later,
J ;)

lol, you're crazy man with those funny pics.
when are we gonna get together to compare notes?

haha, yea that helps turn a tedious job into playtime. I get the urge for artistic expression often, and try to make the best out of it. hahaha. thanx for stopping by man! Anytime you wanna compare notes just let me know! I'm always down for that!

P.S. Sorry guys about all of the quotes, but itisn't letting me multiquote at the time.

If you 420ers have any Ideas what this could be, pipe up!

Just popped in to the middle of your journal and I don't have time to read it all so it might now be a non-issue but if you see leaking wounds you probably ought to grab a loupe and check for stem-piercing insects. There are some that instead of feeding on the leaves will hit the stems/trunks.

I doubt that stuff would have any thc/etc. That's pretty much on the surface of the plants in the trichomes.

Also saw you mentioning having a female plant that you wished you had a male of. Check out one of WheeloFortune's great posts on STS (silver thiosulfate solution). Cheap, easy to make, simple to use, safe, and very effective (as in "works every time") about inhibiting the hormones that cause a female plant to be female if you need to make one grow a few male flowers so that you can self it, breed it with another of the same strain, or make a few crosses.

lol Just thought that I'd add that anyone with experience with mutations like I'm seeing in the papaya should chime in and give me some pointers/advice on how to get this trait dominant in my Papaya. any info is nice! I wonder if anyone here has used a mutation or a polyploidal plant for breeding and if it can be passed to the next cross. I want to breed this trait into my hybrids, but dont know if it's completely random or somewaht inherited.
Hmmm........

Triploids and polyploids in general are often (but not always) sterile in succeeding generations. In fact, some plant breeders (not cannabis ones) introduce these kinds of mutations in order to make sure that people have to keep buying new seed for every planting season. As for the thing in cannabis plants, they seem to either be really healthy or duds with very little middle ground. Good luck, maybe yours is one of the champions.

Great info, thanx, I'll go over and check it out in a min. About the leaking, No bugs were present I checked religiously, and it seemed that it would happen when the stems would bend down just before the leaves would fall. I think that the bending would open tinycracks just enough for the seepage. It was only on the one plant too, not the other wr, or the cindy. I'm not too worried about it, it didn't effect anything, so it was more just interesting, but thanx for chiming in when no one else did. Thats GREAT!! +rep

ok. thanx again for the info. I'll cross my fingers and hope that they will breed. we'll see. I hope that she'll be nice and fertile, but I guess you never know. ...and so far the triploid mutant is VERYhealthy and infact has huge stems and better growth than its neighbors, but thats still in veg. We'll see about bloom soon enough. Your making me all nervous my friend. lolol, but I guess that I'm used to it since it comes with the grow. hahaha.

Yeah Jason here's one of them

Think he's got more posts about it, if you have any questions you might just want to send him a PM asking for the best post with info. @WheeloFortune has done this a lot and he's always willing to help another member - that's why I voted for him for MotM, lol. He's pretty busy so this week so it might take him a bit to get your message right now.

I also found this thread:
How to Reverse Sex Using STS
Hope that helps.

MINI UPDATE:

Well, I got an email from the Single seed Centre about some freebee's and just couldn't pass it up, so I made an order.

I ordered:
1 x Twilight fem
1 x Passion #1 reg
1 x DoubleGum reg
2 x Purple #1 reg

and the freebee's are:
1 x Sharksbreath fem
1 x Rocklock fem
1 x Sour Cream fem

Not a bad deal, and a very nice sponsor of 420! Thanx Single Seed.

Looks like I should have a good mix of oldskool and newskool genetics to play with. WOOHOO!

I'm also starting construction on an enclosed entertainment center, converting it into a low wattage breeding center so that I can run my bloom area and breeding area similtaniously. It should be done by the end of the weekend. WOOHOO again. hahaha.

Thanx for stopping by man!

Sorry about the delay on the Photos everyone... It wasn't working well with the site today, and I didn't have the time to sit around and wait for it to fix. I'll get them uploaded as soon as I can but mostlikely after the weekend. It's gonna be nice out, and I think I'll test 'Candy' outdoors this weekend.

Enjoy the nice wheather if you got it.
J
