Ok, So I have some phone problems and won't be able to post pics.
I visited all 9 businesses in my area that would stock the green garden wire but I couldn't find it at all. It just seems i cant get it here where I live. So I had to do some mcguyver shit.
I made two holes in the rim of the plastic container, so I have something to anchor to.
I then took soft plastic rope, which is about the same diameter as the garden wire you guys use, and looped it around both arms, and fed the rope out through the holes on the side.
I then used that soft white adhesive putty (pres-tick?) on the outside to hold the ropes. I tested it and can easily increase or decrease the tension simply by lifting the white putty, pulling on the rope and sticking it again.
It's not the most elegant, its not the best-engineered, but goddammit its my solution and it works
I managed to "guide" both arms a couple of degrees, and will continue to do minor adjustments on a regular basis. I'm so super scared of amputations that I'm extra gentle. The rope is also thick enough that there's no risk of the rope cutting into the branches.
I'm also happy to report that there have been no amputations yet!
Thanks BAR and professor flux for your input. I'm counting on you guys to help me through the process until I hit harvest.
