Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

Ill be doing the first ever quantum flux! Using the new quantum dott grow light by Budmaster once I have it soon! :) I sooooo cant wait to flux it up all quantum like :) :)
I may be more excited than you for this one Professor Flux!

LIBERTY HAZE
(Feminized, Flux) Day 236

Well she was brought inside 3 days ago and tossed under our Advanced LED Diamond Series 200 lamp. She seems to like it so she'll finish there.

Agreed, the nodes are looking kind of tight.

I'm not a big fan of ozone generators. I used to use one for a grow and it gives off the same smell as an electrical short. I felt much better using a carbon filter. Batts of insulation around an inline fan can make them much more quiet. You also must be very careful where you vent an ozone generator as O3 is highly corrosive and you definitely don't want to breathe any of that. Ozone is a highly reactive oxygen species and will corrode wiring, carpet, plastics, and your lungs. If you safely vent it outside it has a very characteristic smell that people in the know may recognize and others may assume is an electrical problem.

Just a line to say my fluxing 101 video series will still go a head. It will start up again in a few weeks time! Ill be combining this with a world first! !!!!!!!

Evertime I try to get out, you pull me back in. LOL. Your humble student LB.

**Pagin' Professor Flux**

Ok, so I posted on this thread a while back. I'm a first time grower growing in a closet with 8x 30w cfl's.

I already managed to kill 6 seedlings due to my ineptitude, but finally managed to keep 1 plant alive. I've been planning on fluxing since day 1.

So I topped after the 3rd node as you suggested, (your youtube video helped a lot), and finally got my two shoots popping out.

How long should I let the two main flux arms get before I strip the bottom growth and re-pot it into its final container?

I know I'm going to re-pot this bad girl at pot level, I'm just not sure when to do it. Your input would be appreciated.

Welcome to the fluxing party :)
OK so now you have the top pair points growing you can remove any lower shoot points. Id then let the top points grow out another inch. Keep gently opening up the growing tips to promote node forming. Then once they're that bit longer you would then begin the training. At present just let her gain some strength.
When you do start to bring them down do it in stages and gently. I flex the kink point gently before making adjustments. The small pot will make this easier to do with having better access.
Then once your flux arms are nearly horizontal i'd pot up to final home and begin the stricter training! :)

Just to be sure, This is all the lower baby leaves sprouting up everywhere? Do i keep removing these as they pop out?

I think somewhere you mentioned that this is to not waste energy on any part of the plant that is NOT the main flux arms. This correct?

**EDIT**

By the way BAR, it feels like a lifetime ago when you first posted about liberty, I'm so happy to see she's still doing well.

I know, right!

Hey LB :) Glad your still popping in on me from time to time :)

Well I thought id drop a pic off my auto thread that shows my current giant flux! Nearly twice the size of my original flux! :)

You took me back in time with this photo. That rectangular flux is how I used to grow my plants in the tropical rainforest of far north Australia. I used to lay down mulch then grow 8-10 foot long plants no higher than maybe a foot off the ground. I love to go back in time on late nightsi n the garden. Thanks mate. Really got me smiling!
