Its a personal thing really, for ky big old girl she had 6-8 inch vert before flip. She was big though :) Id just give her as long as you can manage. The more vert the bigger colas. Just open up the immature foliage of each tip repeatedly as your going vert. This will give you tighter nodes and better colas :)
 
Nope you got it right. With fluxing its all about flow and the under over impede this so we remove as early as they show each time they repeat :)
 
Awesome i'll chop um down soon as the lights come back. I had some crazy idea to shape the 2 arms into a circle around the pot so it looks like a ying yang lol. i'll go with the regular flux for now and learn the basics before I go trying new stuff. :)

Edit: Realised I should wait for some vertical height before flipping. Patience.. Sigh.. Thanks LA for pointing that out :)
 
Yup :) you've set the plant up to fool it into producing all main colas, or many individual little plants as it were, so to flower without vert would have been a shame :)

Hey all
Sorry folks if Ive not been about much! This unfortunately is something that is going to become continual. My time here with my active threads is simply taking up to much time. Basically although its my world, its also taking presidency over my time needed to finalise designs and launch my grow range product. So for a while I wont be about much at all. If Im going to launch my Iidea it simply must come first.
Ill still be on when at work like at present, but home time will be grafting time for me as I need to launch asap. :)

Im gonna miss you all loads and hope ya wont forget me by the time Im back properly :)
 
Cheers :) its just now or never lol. I have to have a working prototype by November for Cannafest in Prague. My friend who's a owner of a huge US company that my product ties into will be there and if I can secure their involvement then it will secure worldwide distribution networks for my product.

Ill still be about a bit as said. Hell if it wasn't for 420 id go insanely nuts at my boring job :)

I know you said you won't be around much so that's ok but I'm hoping someone around here will be able to help me with some suggestions :)

I've got a dp blueberry fem I've been doing a lot of training on she's not a flux but she's pretty close for a scrappy training job on her. So I'm wondering because I'm wanting to flower soon I want to let her get some vertical growth before the switch but I have a lot of possible colas so I'm thinking I should probably thin her out abit sooo should I let her get abit vert then decide if I need to trim or trim some now and then go vert and do whatever else is needed after switch?

Ok my friend!
Shes a beauty :) you do need to get some vert going to give good colas. Id leave your number of sites for now and just defol lower points that have grown some foliage. So any lower points from say an inch from the tops id consider defol. Just make sure that as said at that point the new node growth is developed enough foliage to drive its own growth.

That dont make it very clear lol.

So where you defol relates directly to what growth you will or wont get. Upper fans in say the top inch or two of a colas site will directly effect vertical growth. Lower nodes fans, will be powering the new branch growth forming from that point.
So we wait for any points of defol to have grown enough foliage of their own before we remove :)

Really dies help, had so many different thoughts to what I should do but you have cleared things up a lot for me now. I will wait till lights on today and then ill go have a closer look at her and decide from there as to whether I defol now or wait a day or 2 more, hopefully she's at a good stage tonight so I an defol and let grow vert another week before the switch I'm thinking :)
Ill most likely drop by with some progression pics as she goes to see what you all think.
