Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

Lol. Just looking at some "storage boxes" now :) 31cm high x 39cm wide x 55cm long....BIG pots :)
Off out for a bit now mate. Chat later buddy. :peace:

LA, are you concerned at all about your branch spacing? It appears that branches are about 2" apart from one another. I think you might need to stagger your branches like bending every other tine on a fork. So instead of having 2 headrows of bud, you'd have 4.

True dat my friend. Once you get into flowering and that growth spurt takes over, the plant will then show you what you're going to have to deal with and I know you'll adjust accordingly to get as much available light evenly spread out to your grow.

Hey, being as though everything is bound to your pot, maybe (if space permits) you could put a turn table under the pot to rotate the entire pot and plant getting a more even distribution?

Hey all, Sky, nah mate just gonna fan em out before I let build vertical. So ones near end of flux will be brought right around to almost follow the main stem. It will work fine I reckon anyhow Ill bodge something together Im sure!

Mate, you don't "bodge" you "Adjust To Suit" :Namaste: Lol :peace:

OK LA, what would be the 1st fluxing step; or is she still to young? I'm still not grasping how the technique gets started.

Well Sir Reginald.......I reckon...... you remove the lower nodes and "micro top" the head (as per Gert). Bend the main stalk in the direction you want it. Once the remaining top nodes grow you "pin" them down :) Am I right Sir Light?

Grow tall, cut short and wait for the 2 mains to appear, then just get nasty with her. Use the top to root, then flower to discover gender and provide an small early harvest.

Thanxx, no disrespect but I'll wait to here from the originating founder.

No probs BAR :) I'd do the same lol. I find this technique fascinating :) I'm trying to get my head round it too :peace:

Hey buddy. Well Oz has been paying attention! He gets a gold star!, she looks like she is at the 3rd real node now. So yeah micro head her, making sure you leave the two tiny points on each side of that very fine tip. These are what will grow into your main flux. Everything else below the top leaves and node get stripped. Then wait for the two new shoots to form and grow and as they do tie em down. Then simply train strip and defol till your happy to flip lol!

I'm still a little foggy on this start up phase as I was while re-reading through the beginning of this thread. What I'll have to do is wait until I get home this evening & we can discuss it via photos. Either on my thread or here, whichever seems more appropriate. Probably here as there may be others confused on getting started with the fluxing.

Mate, just a thought but would it make sense to plant the girls nearer to one side of their final pots (rectangular ones)? This would allow the main stalk to be "bent" towards the centre of the pot giving optimum space either side for new nodes and, ultimately Colas :) Hope this makes sense to you lol :peace:

i was just looking at my little ones that i am lst-ing, and said out loud, next time im going to plant them at the edge , so when i bend them, i have more room

+ reps

Hi BAR....effectively you're trying to create a horizontal "T" shape. "Micro Topping" is REALLY well shown in Gerts journal. Basically you clip the heart out of the plants head. This halts growth and creates 2 branches (one either side). These become your main branch. I'm sure LA will give a better description though :)
