Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

ahh, I got ya! I only say don't supercrop because simon said it's a silly technique.

he explained to me that it takes time and energy to repair, and when it is repaired, it may not be the same branch that it once was :(

topping and lst are "good" stress, supercropping not so much (imo)

Mate, are you envisaging a 18 week total "seed to weed" here? So, effectively, 9 weeks of each veg n flower? :) I'm just looking at timings going forward :)

Ahh no I get you lol. You meant when Im bruising the limbs up. Yeah just got you and your right, im now just pinching and feeling the inner walls collapse every few days to get better structure/thickness. No big bend till inner snap any more for me!

I would stop damaging the stems altogether. I didn't even ask simon about it, he just said mentioned it after seeing my serious 6 that was lstd/supercropped by accident.

he said "poor plant that got hurt. this can stunt a plant and cause it to take longer to finish than normal"

I'm trying to finish my grows as fast and as heavy as possible, so I'm not going to supercrop anymore.

if you didn't know simon is the owner/breeder of serious seeds

He doesn't supercrop. What he does to the branches is train them, not pinching to cause shift of hormones. Supercropping is different & a lot o well known pros do it.
I don't use it much, but I see its advantages.

Does Simon, top, FIM or defoliate? Or is his philosophy to let nature take it's course?

pinching to injury the deep tissue is essentially super cropping but yeah I guess with less stress than destorying the whole structure completely like when a branch is lim. amount of stress is always a factor too.

why injure when you can top and lst like a madman lol. they call it LOW stress training for a reason.

topping is a crazy thing that the plant does too but I think the plants like when they get pruned at the top like that. I remember reading about axial shoot and terminal shoots (side shoots) and if you top the meristem correctly itll send homrones equally to all terminal shoots. fimming the auxins kinda get stuck at the top.

I do know that part about topping, but I don't know about top vs fim in regards to yield.

not sure didn't ask him skybound. usually its this guy tom answering but I got 2 emails from simon when it was finished and when tom was on vaca. he just mentioned that he didn't like the injury while attempting to tie the plant over lol

This method may be just what I'm looking for
It ticks every box

To be honest mate, me too :) Fits my time scales better :) I'd rather do one longer grow and get 75% of two grows if that makes sense lol. Need to get different premises ASAP owing to our lasses job lol :)

Hey good green to all. Just some extra strapping needed today and also some major defol!

Sorry this style doesn't really need much explanation as its so simple to get from pics lol
So here goes

That just looks amazing :) :bravo: What diameter is the pot mate? How do you keep the nodes spacing so uniform?.....So many questions and so little time (I know mate......PATIENCE PUPIL) lol :)

He he, hey my friend. every other node is stripped off from the main flux. otherwise you would get too many legs as it were. I did get asked on the tub size before lol. I think its 16/17inch but dont quote me on that lol.
She will get her second ever feed and water today so she should get nice and big yet. Still got maybe a month of veg yet!

Will that FULL centre be budded out then? Just thinking that if you had alternative lengths of nodes (long, short, long, short etc) it would pack the middle out? 17" is a lot of space :)

I did think of letting some sites go in center at the beginning. The way i look at it is I want just the one big colas off the end of each branch all at the same height. If I'd tried to keep some shortened they would have been more developed vertically. If i did leave any growth in center it would be pulling the nutes before my big end branch colas.
This way all branches get even feeding and all just feeding the big ass end branch buds. hope that makes sense. The double fluxed waffle will be a blanket of bud completely filled with smaller colas just many more than this style. But that style is gonna be real hard work on the training and a pane in the ass! but just for the challenge and giggles really. As said I get bored pretty quick with any style before I want another to try.

Makes perfect sense mate :) The main stem is effectively just a manifold lol. Got me think rectangular plastic storage boxes may be a better "pot" though lol :thumb: Think I'll pick myself some up :)
