Have a Great Shatterday Brotha :thumb:

Hey Dyold, thanks for stopping in my friend :)
Well my girls got more training and more defol. This is now almost a daily process. I'm already opening tips up regularly to promote tighter nodal spacing. Under LED now so this will happen anyhow but I like to kick it along lol.
Ill be keeping these all in veg now till I'm back from Spannabis. Then its my time to get all my new toys out and get that tent full of bud!
Again remember these girls will be undergoing my new Wave Light schedule :) :)

I've also dropped another bean :) 710genetics of course :) they're High Priority! So at mo in all I have 8 other babies going for the next waves :)
All I need now is my auto bean delivery and I can pop plenty more! :)

Can you explain this in more detail "opening tips up regularly to promote tighter nodal spacing" do i just pull the very top leaves outwards from their cluster ?

Budddyy :) :)
Yep you got it :) the very top growing tips always have closed immature foliage. Its the simplest idea and just one that I've always done as it makes sense to me lol.
Opening up this immature foliage prematurely to the light makes the plant quicken its production of the next node. Honestly its tried and tested and why I can get big colas :)
We overlook the simplest of things lol. Light being one of our main ingredients, why not get the most out of it! :)

Hmmm?? :)
Never considered it to be honest. I have used the same recycled stuff for ages lol. Then I have my Alien hydro ssystem to run and my Oxygen pot system again. Then a few others to try out :)
I love the simplest things and I find soil is just easy.
Also as I haven't thought of it really its not something I'm all that clued up on :)
Soil and roots etc will be a focus more for me nowadays as I can run a live environment through having an RO system.

Feel free to try an convert me :)

I'm gonna direct you to SweetSue's journal to convert you .. should take one click only :)
She used NO nutrients. Just living organic soil, compost, vermi(worm)compost and compost-tea.

I blogged her explanation about the whole proces in my second blog, because it will be hard to find otherwise, but here is the link to her journal:

Here's the forum topic dedicated to it.
How to get started growing indoors organically - No bottles

Basically, you mineralize the soil, get microbial life going on in there, and let them feed the plants. No more bottled nutrients. You then either buy a mixture that will get you microbes in water, to water the plants with, or you brew your own from your compost and worm bin, and water and foliar spray the plants with it.

When your plant is harvested, you leave the roots in there, poke a hole for the new plant, stuff it in, and there ya go again.

I'm not using it myself yet, as it is a pain in the ass to source the materials here, but I think I found something .. I am trying to get things ready before the next flower phase of the 4x4. But having looked at SweetSue's first grow under CFL lighting, her stellar results have to be coming from the soil for a large part.

Anyway, non of this is mine .. I'm just in research mode, and wondering how others think about it :)

See, thats why I ask .. I love opposite opinions .. thats where I learn about the why would I not want to's ;)

I love my nutes as well by the way .. but I would love even more not having to buy them on a regular basis, now the operation is getting a bit bigger :p
