I'm just about to end my love affair with nutes once my NLxBB Fluxed ladies are done. I have cooked/cooking 300 litres of LOS for my next girls as well as for fruit & veg for the garden. A lot of my fruit & veg will be grown in fabric pots as my garden soil is a bit heavy. I've still got more to cook too.

SoilGirl and Sweetsue helped me convert to LOS.

PlanetJ, what are you having trouble sourcing?
 
We do not have any glacial rock dust over here, nor any granite. Silt pits are no-access to me, and I cant find a company processing that stuff. I can, however, find a couple of clay powders like bentonite, I can find lava silt and I can find basalt silt. I will be mixing in some sand as well, as fine as possible.

Then there is crustacean meal .. I will have to check with the local fishermen or fish restaurants in order to be able to make my own .. I can not find it in any ready made form.

I can not find neem seeds or them processed to cake. I can find neem oil. I do not think I can substitute the seeds with the oil.

I would love to find a source of rice husks .. but they seem unobtainable as well.

I will probably have to scavange my kelp and dry and grind it myself.

This is going by my current recipe, which is pending review given new information that I yet have to fully understand.

Remember I'm UK lol so I'm pretty limited on availability of stuff. Plus I'm actually with Dennise lol, I like total utter control over my gals and like being able to tailor needs to individual plants etc.
To me its all about understanding my plants. Listening to them and then being able to give back. I feel a symbiosis like this, lets me feel part of the process.
To me the soil kits, super soils and all are great for people wanting a simple life and no fussing for sure. Yet then your part in the adventure is limited, its less a partnership and more plug and play....

Simply put I train autos quite hard :) as soon as my delivery gets here were going auto bonkers as haven't played with them for years and I love a new challenge :)
 
morning la my fellow welshman..hope all is good with you...i have started training my autos this round and it is fun i must say lol....cant wait to see what you do with your autos....

Yep I'm dying to get going with them again and see what types of changes have come along over the past few years!
Once I've got a feel for them again ill be using a time wave manipulation on them to get bigger yield.
Simply put in the past I had a DP snowstorm 1 that was auto and my friend started it. Now as he basically panicked a lot it go a very irregular time frame for lighting.
That auto ran a lot longer veg cycle and gave me 6.5 OZ
This has me thinking :) :)

Anyway my best autos came in at 8.5 and 10.5 :) this was way back when unstable. So now I have to see what they're like nowadays and go from there!

thats some serious weight from autos mate.....cant wait to you get your seeds so you can play and smash those weights....
 
Ill be honest lol, after my first 3 plants ever my ability to get good yield was there. It was the getting of top shelf quality that I lacked back then. Nowadays with all my Budmaster GOD power etc the quality is definitely there :) :) he he and then some if I do say so myself :) :). Also my understanding of LED is now up to par (pun intended) so its aligning everything to get it all going together at once :)

you sure are a natural grower mate i do like the budmaster god power but just not the price tag lol...how long now till you get your auto seeds...

That's just dependant on where your at with your girls. Yet yes water feed water is a ok way to go :)
 
Nope wrong way round lol. Its less is more with MJ :) its far simpler to correct under feeding etc than it is over feeding! :)
So yep every other is fine! Just keep an eye on the shade of your girls. To dark green and your feeding to much! :)
