Before I got actual bubble bags I used to make hash by a similar method, but without the bags/screens.
I've never liked indica bud much. Hash I do like, and once the Thai and Jamaican sativas disappeared from the market where I was living in the mid-late 80s, this got me through the times when there was no hash around. It won't make something as strong as qwiso or bho, but it's easy, clean, and pretty much free. Probably everyone knows this simple method already, but in case someone doesn't...

In its basic form- Using a clear container with a screw-top lid, generally not glass- usually plastic, I would fill it about 1/4- 1/2 full of ice cubes, a bunch of bud/shake,trim (frozen if possible) and then cold water till it was 3/4 full. Shake for a few minutes, strain (t-shirt, strainer, whatever) into another container and let sit for a while, a few hours if you're patient enough. Resin glands sink and form a greyish residue on the bottom. Skim and siphon off the water as much as possible and you can soak up most of the last of it with paper towel. Let the hash dry somewhere warm for a while...
You get the idea. Same process as bubble hash. It won't be as refined, but I made plenty of good hash this way, sometimes in larger batches in five gallon buckets.

I have cheese cloth and i could get some ice, un sure what container to use? Maybe a big Gatorade bottle? I wanna try this out man! Thanks for this awesome post! Lol! Damn im high! The basic concept is very simple and you can use any sort of container really as long as it has a lid and won't break. Good to use frozen herb and cold water. You can stir, shake, use a mixer, whatever. The more you agitate it the more likely you'll get particles of stuff other than trichomes in the mix, but that's not going to wreck the hash. Just try a little batch and see what you think. You can always do a batch that's been mixed for a few minutes, pour it off, add more water and do a longer mix to see what settles out. You won't get much in a small bottle but definitely a smokeable amount.
Yep, still around. Had kind of a stressful month so far and less energy to put into 420, but things are settling, thankfully.

Good im glad to here things are settling down for ya! Just out of curiosity why would i not want to use a mason jar for this bubble hash? Haha ya that's my cat he always hangs around me when i smoke then he takes a nap lol. He's the most talkative cat ive ever had lol he's a oddball for sure too lol.

I have used mason jars and they work fine. I never broke one that way and in reality they are fine and aren't likely to break from shaking ice around, but it does feel a bit more vulnerable. With a plastic jar or steel container you can drop it/whatever and don't have to worry at all. Glass however is much nicer in case you have to scrape some of the hash out at the end so I would pour the shaken/stirred mix into glass or a ceramic bowl after- wide and shallow enough that you can access the hash but it's also nice if it doesn't settle out over too wide an area at the bottom. Or a glass pan, plate, whatever. It's not really sticky when it's wet, but as it dries it glues on pretty good.
Yeah the concept is- frozen trichomes are brittle and break off from the agitation and contact with the ice, and sink after the shaking stops. Most everything else floats. I wasn't trying to write a definitive recipe because it really is simple. That's the core of it, and you can just run with it from there.

Went to the local hardware store and picked up some clone supplies, figured I'd start out small and work my way up!

I took some clones and put them in peat pellets i just am not in a position where I can afford the time to dial in the perlite cloning.

Well in veg i had trimmed up the girls while i was taking clones and i am trying to get mary to stretch out a bit so she got tied down a little bit

The flowering girls are on DAY 46 of flowering and they are looking tasty! As a precautionary i watered them with some H2O2 mix into their solution in hope of killing anything that could be in there thats not good lol

Lol thanks brother! I was thinking of starting a new journal after this coming harvest. This strain goes 56-64 days roughly. Honestly this light has brought out the potential of this strain never had bud this fat from this strain! Might name my new journal "lexorts hempire strikes back!" Lol no one steal that title ok or i will be really sad lol
