Lexort's Kaneh Bosm CFL Garden

Alright so here's a update. My two girls in veg are a little rough right now i think maybe i had been going too light on the nutes as in not enough nitrogen because I have been working on fixing them but i thought it was the ph however now that I been spot on with the ph and with no sign of them getting alot better im led to believe it is too weak of nutes

Now the girls in flower however are doing fine, they are going to get switched to bloom feeding at the next watering since the strectch is pretty much over. I hope to see improvement in bud development this time around once i get my light which should be here soon i hope atleast lol. I suppose i haven't really made this very clear but the girls currently in flower are not the same strain i just harvested its the other plant this time lol. So i call the strain in flowering currently Wendy and the one i ran last time i call mary. Anyways on to the pictures

Well both Wendy and mary produce nice smoke but Wendy is more of a couchlock high and I'm not super big on that unless its before bed but mary is a relaxing yet giggly clear minded smoke and I tend to favor that type of high a bit more. I wish I could grow a strain that has a sativa high but grows like a indica that would be perfect for me lol. So in short i like both Wendy and Mary however mary has a slight edge over Wendy. :tokin:

Actually i do have a ppm meter i just honestly dont get the point as in i know how to check the ppms of my nute mix however im still a bit unsure what to do with that info. And by that i mean lets say my ppm is like 800ppm how can I be sure if thats too much or too little since every plant has different preferences on strength. I over think things alot so maybe thats what im doing here. :tokin:

Every experiment has to start somewhere!

Give her 500 PPM and slowly move up each feeding until you've reached the max. She will tell you. Each plant likes different amounts, that's why I plan on moving to clones only growing soon.

Just don't over do it buddy, you're in flowering now so tread lightly!!!

Ya will do! I been having the worst time with getting the right amount for the gorls in veg thats where my problem is, for some reason im not that good with plants in veg but i don't do too bad in flowering lol.

LOL for me is the opposite.
I vegged a monster a while back in one of my journals, but deficiencies and root rot took their toll around 3rd or 4th week and was pitiful. But I keep on toking. I may not have a history of being a good grower but I still get plenty of weed to puff on in between so, that is the trick to avoid letting the failures get to me.

It's the mistakes Lexort, they are what make a great grower in the end. Of course, an unlimited credit line to order all the best growing gear online doesn't necessarily make things that much better. On YouTube is a video of a guy that spent $10K on his hydro setup with 30 plants and it was miserable!! But hey, it's just a weed. I think many times some of my own errors have been caused by overthinking simple procedures :bongrip:

Keep Going, you're doing fine!

Are you using General Hydro 3 part nutrients?

Vlad

Well thank you for the words of encouragement and I do agree the mistakes are lessons in disguise. I will keep on trucking along i just get a little panicked because I only had the one seed of the mary strain as i call her and I am quite fond of her and dont want to lose her lol. Ya im using the general hydroponics 3 part plus i recently bought calimagic which i been using on plain water days since im using distilled water, i add 1 tsp per gallon of that stuff and i just bumped the nute level in their nute day water so its 2tsp grow 1 tsp micro 1tsp bloom because I remembered my veg girls didn't like the aggressive veg strength so i didnt wanna take it that high yet.

Holy cow just got my new light cant hook it up to the box until quite a lot of hours from now but I did plug it in and turned it on and went freaking blind! This thing is super crazy bright! I can't wait to see how the girls like it lol. I'll get pictures later today.

Amen, Brother Vlad :) That goes for most everything in life, eh? But especially something like gardening because it involves another living organism.

lexort, I can't WAIT to see that light in place! Your garden will freak out (in a good way) :)

Alright the moment you and i have been waiting for lol im pleased to present this amazingly blinding light from one of :420: Woderful sponsers mars hydro. Enjoy! I sure am lol.

Congrats, now they have everything they need.

Should go well for harvest, you must be a little excited :thumb:

Careful with the ambient temps in that grow cab.

Thanks vlad, i am pretty excited to see how i do with flowering this time around. Im interested to see what the differences are gonna be from flowering under cfls to now flowering under leds, im curious about whether or not my buds will be better now cause im running pretty much the same amount of watts its just a different kind of light. I was flowering with like 208w of cfls and this led panel draws 210w if you want to count my led strips that's 25w for those lol. As for the temps im not too worried about that, that box probly has more airflow then it actually needs to be quite honest lol but i appreciate your concern and for having my best interest in mind. :tokin:

looks great in there!
but if I were you... I'd still run a couple CFLs, the warm white ones.
that led panel is how many bands? I see reds and blues only and even if it were 5 bands still adding your CFL will give "full spectrum". you want that plant to fatten yes, but also Trich up as well.
