It's weird Lexort- to me they look so overwatered- the purple stems, the way they're yellowing a bit the way plants do when they can't get enough N because roots are too wet. They do look a bit off-color, and the stems are very purple. Purple stems aren't something to worry about much necessarily on their own and can also just be genetic. It does seem like something else is going on with your plants though. I know we've said this all before... There are lots of new growers who freak out when they're stems turn color like this- and that should be disregarded. However, there are also some experienced growers who claim that purple is a sign they need feeding.

This is what Jorge Cervantes says about purple stems.

Cannabis stems turn purple for various reasons. Cold temperatures, below 10 degrees C. cause the supply of phosphorus to diminish, which in turn causes leaf stems and later main stems to turn purple. However, they also turn purple when phosphorus is in short supply due to a toxic (fertilizer) salt buildup in the soil. Nitrogen deficiency can also cause leaf stems to discolor.

Ya know I have to say i aint worried about the purple stems cause I believe it's genetic with these clones the donor plant had purple stems but im thinking its still lacking in the magnesium department and I have a hard time believing it but its all i can figure. I swear i dont overwater i always wait till they are light as a feather before watering which doesn't take super long cause they are in those small containers but by the time I water em they are so light it's like they are empty containers. Im wondering if it's my ph again the runoff was lowish this last watering. Runoff was 5.3 roughly which was odd cause the prior time it was at 5.8 for the Gatorade bottle clone and 6.1 for the other clone. I know that you think im overwatering weasel but unless it is the frequency i dont think i am it takes two or three days for them to dry out completely i get plenty of runoff since my soil less mix is so light its about 20-30% runoff but they only get a drinking glass worth of water.

Would it be better to foliar feed the epsom salt? I was using it as a drench. Btw weasel i didn't mean to come off mad in that last post i just reread it and realized it could seem that way but just know im cool just puzzled by this crap. The donor plant for these clones didn't do this yellowing thing til late flowering. The only difference between these clones and its donor is that the main stalk on these clones are purple and the donor plant only had purple stems not the main stalk but i just chalked it up to the clones coming from a purple side shoot, and these clones are yellowing in veg where as the donor plant yellowed in mid to late flowering. This strain was a little picky about nute strength but not too horribly just as long as i didn't go completely overboard it was alright.

Ha ha Lexort. You don't need to worry about me, man! Never worry! I was not mad and I didn't think you were mad and I actually don't think you're overwatering! I'm just kind of talking to myself mostly. It's hard to imagine you overwatering, with those little containers, unless they had zero drainage. Just fishing around for answers. I can't help myself for some reason.

Ya i hear ya there and im glad you didn't think i was mad lol ya i just think it was my ph being a little bit low maybe. I sometimes second guess things such as me possibly coming off mad cause I see potential for it to be taken that way so if i think it can seem that way i always wanna correct it lol im a very blunt person and most people think im a asshole but its just me being blunt so i get mistook alot lol

Hmmm... Well, I never noticed that so maybe it doesn't come through in the written form! Although I have noticed that in the written form stuff does get misinterpreted especially when you have a fucked up sense of humor like I do. Find it pretty easy not to step on toes around here so I don't think we have anything to worry about. Take it for granted I'm not offended by anything you say unless you hear otherwise, which is very unlikely. And I will assume that you don't think I'm constantly criticizing your plants by or think that I'm accusing you of overwatering etc. etc. etc. and we can move forward and can ignore all that stuff henceforth?

That one plant almost looks like it could be happier in a bigger home Lex. Repotting and/or a good feed of the full formula should fix up any issues.

I know you want to keep them small so repotting is up to you.

So its possible im just not feeding enough? And ya you guys are right i wanna keep em small and last go round they stayed in the two liter bottles their whole life so i know it can be done. And to weasel agreed lol glad we are on the same page. I knew you were just saying it seems like overwatering cause i do see where you could get that i just figured i would just show the cup they get watered with cause it's the reason i dont think they are overwatered lol. All the new growth looks good and finally some of the leaves look right and aint drooping at all lol. I guess i will try not to be too ocd about the rough looking leaves but that's gonna be hard for me lol

Well i nute burn my baby's a little bit but on the plus side i now know that they are uptaking the nitrogen and i think i just didn't trim off all the affected leaves ill get pictures up in a few mins. Hope all that made sense cause I'm super medicated lol

They're still looking better and better to me all the time. They definitely don't seem as droopy to me. Maybe the smaller ones but they'll get over it.
