Lewydeville’s DWC Grow With Mephisto Genetics Creme De La Chem Plus Many More

Girls are coming along nicely Lew. Good to see :yummy:
How is it DD, not so good in the garden this morning mate I think I’ve either some hungry plants or maybe the low temps are causing phosphorus problems? Hopefully I’ve sorted it now. I’ll post an update soon.

Sorry to hear it’s sub par Lew. I’m not kidding I was just reading about phosphorus issues now and wondering if I’d recognise it if I saw it. Decided ‘pffft’ and picked up my phone for some mental floss.
We must be smoking the same strain or something.
Well done recognising it! :adore:
Good luck kicking it in the guts.

I painted the walls white in my little veg area today, about doubling lumens-@-leaf. Oh that’s what I was going to tell you! I did a bit of judicial stem crushing HST today on my little monster croppers! On the strength of your confidence I ride, thank you :high-five: I started going at them later than I might’ve. Things being things and all. Anyway, where I had been using 3 ties together to shape a branch - got a whole lot more interesting, and simpler, and fun.
If I may..

Sounds like my kinda day! This weather is relentless isn’t it mate. You getting much done at work?
It's been absolutely crap down this way. On Friday we just bit the bullet and did almost a full day. I've never been so wet in my life. We were pissed wet through by 9am and stayed til about 3pm lol. It was one of those days where you are clock watching every second lol. Today's better but we don't start the new job until tomorrow or Wednesday because we're waiting for materials. Sod's law. Anyways, hope you sort out the possible phosphorus issues. I've had to completely reassess the growroom as the weather has completely changed over the last month. Weirdly enough my growroom is less humid now that the weather is cooler even though it's been nonstop rain for about a month. Good luck with sorting them out

Hey 420, I had a busy day planned at work today and I could of done with opening the tent to some perfectly happy plants this morning...no such luck there. I seem to have a phosphorus deficiency in some of the plants and I think it could be down to the unusual cold temps in the grow room. I’ve noticed temps have been on the low side but hadn’t got around to installing my heat fan. The oil radiator in the veg tent seems to have given off enough heat that two closest plants next door were unaffected. As you work to the coolest parts of the tent the problem shows up. I’ve now got my heat fan keeping a steady 23c. Fingers crossed tomorrow brings happier plants.

In this first picture you can see the two plants on the left closest the oil radiator next door are unaffected. On the right near the induction fans the problem is visible if you zoom in.

I think I’ve been lucky in the past and not come across phosphorus deficiency either that or I’ve missed it. I’ve always added p/k boosters during flower. I think I’ve just misjudged how cold it’s been in my grow tent this time. It’s been pretty mild outside so I thought the hps would of been enough to heat the tent for a few weeks.

Ha ha that’s funny because the old boys I use to work with always sang “Lewy Lewy” to me.

Your plants are looking ace DD. Very healthy and the more you beat on them the harder they come back! Can’t wait to see how you shape them.

I’ve been busy with call outs but no chance of getting any big jobs done in this weather. I went through 3 pairs of shoes by midday on Friday. Constantly soaked through. Tomorrow seems ok but monthly outlook is pretty miserable.
I’m like you mate I can’t understand the temperature and r/h readings I’m getting in my tents. With all this rain and I’ve not got my dehumidifier going and I’m at 40 r/h? It would be perfect for late flower!!

Good morning 420. Couldn’t wait to get to my spot and check on the girls today. I think they look slightly better. The G13 x Blueberry Headband has come on leaps and bounds from yesterday. It’s hard to tell if I’ve completely sorted the problem less than 24 hours after trying to address the deficiency but hydro plants react pretty quickly and the signs are positive. I don’t hold out much hope for Chem #2. I’m giving her a few days and if she doesn’t pick up I’ll replace her with something else. I’m a competitive person and these autos aren’t going to beat me so I’m going to order another pack. I’m kinda liking the challenge! Lol

The French Macaron looks a bit like what my BG41 looked like when I had overwatering issues because of temperature. I ended up calling it scrotum leaves lol. I'm meant to be doing some Autos next but Barneys are about to drop some more fems which is tempting me. I could always do both I guess. If I do some of the Barneys Autos then I'll do them in the Wilma system. If you get some more will it be the Chems again? I was loookimg forward to them. I love the chem lines. Hope the weathers a bit better for you today. It's no time bad down here but still no materials lol

I think you’re right mate. A couple have the cabbage leaf thing going on. I’m fairly certain the temp was causing problems but I’m shocked at how bad it’s affecting some. The r/h isn’t helping being so low but again I’m surprised considering it hasn’t stop raining for ages and I’m pulling air directly from outside? It was a nice day today so managed to get something done at work. It will probably be pissing down when your materials it’s always the way.

Hey 420. Much better vibe coming from my tent this morning. Dare I say even “the pig” seems to be growing again! Lol. I’ve done a fair amount of training with some of the plants so here are a few shots before I got started.

In the first picture you can see I’ve gently bent the four tops I created in an outward direction. One of the mistakes I made when first training was not getting enough space between intended main tops. I don’t worry about the centre of a plant I grow my tops in a circle shape as wide as possible. This is because the centre always fills up with all the side branching.
83763F2C-5E1C-48D5-99B5-87244F2F88B6.jpeg

To give myself that space I trim everything up to the growing end nodes. This makes the plant concentrate it’s energy where you want it to grow. I also gently crush the stems so they hold in place. You can see how chunky the frame is becoming.

The two side branches were shading the smaller ones so I’ve just given a stem squeeze and bend. I used some garden wire to make sure they stay in place.

Chem # 1
Gave this one a res change today.
40 ml grow nutes
30 ml calmag
20 ml silicon
5 ml p/k booster
10 Beneficial bacteria

1000ppm
Ph 5.7

I wouldn’t normally use the p/k booster but I’m sure it’s phosphorus deficiency I’ve been having and I don’t think it’s going to hurt. I then trimmed the bad leaves off and gently used wire to open the plant up.

Hey 420. We are officially back on track! Really pleased with how the plants are responding after the temperature tweak. Loads of pictures tonight so I’ll explain as I go.

First up a couple of group shots how I found them this morning. Sorry about the purple pictures but I should have white LEDs soon.

After yesterday’s res change the Chem looked fine. A ph check showed 6.2 so I adjusted back to 5.7. After that I reposition the garden wire and gently stretched the plant open.

Happy Friday 420! Only flew by my spot for 10 minutes so I just gave a quick ph check and gave the Pineapple Express a strip and bend. I also took a few leaves from the Chem #1. I just felt she was getting a little overcrowded and some tops weren’t getting any light. I hope it doesn’t slow her down.

Thank you very much N. I was getting worried at one stage as I’ve never dealt with phosphorus deficiency so I’m glad they’re back on track. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend mate, I’m going to relax with some rosin and catch up on some journals. :ganjamon:

Hey 420. It’s been a couple of busy days at work so I’ve not had much time for posting. I have taken some photos over the last few days.

French Macron # 1
I’m loving this plant. It’s taken to training very well and has a strong structure. I didn’t do this strain any justice last run so it going to be exciting to see how this one turns out. These pictures show the last 4 days of training and recovery.

The tops I want to keep are rather small at the moment so I’ve left the adjoining leaves on each node just until I feel the tops are big enough to power the plant by themselves. I find doing this stops the growth from slowing down.

Today I’ve noticed the first signs of the flowering phase starting. We are halfway through week 4 so I guess that gives around 5 weeks until it should be ready for harvest going by the breeders schedule. It’s starting to get a nice aroma when I’m training her. I’ve thinned her leaves out twice which I was a little apprehensive about but just felt she needed it.

This plant is closest to the induction fans bringing the cold air from outside and I think it may be the reason she’s slightly behind her sister plant. With probably at least 8 more weeks of veg I’m not worried. Tomorrow she’ll get a res change and another round of training.
