Lewydeville’s DWC Grow With Mephisto Genetics Creme De La Chem Plus Many More

Missed this on your thread prof. Sorry for your families loss and bad news mate. I would be hitting the homeopathic and alkaline body assistants for the cancer industries countermeasures too. Our plants are amazing but there are some even more available and diets that can help too. Good health to you and yours mate.
Thanks GG. We need to look at being a bit healthier. We live the cigarettes and coffee life a lot of the time. It's been a bit better since having the kids but we really need to try a bit harder. Will look into it mate

Not preaching mate , I do the same. coffee is my lifeblood too. did try using a teaspoon of bicarb which kills the acidity for us coffee junkies but you can taste it too much for me. some very good bicarb and apple cider vinegar magic happening in the homeopathic world too. simple and effective for many things surprisingly. Thoughts with you and yours mate.

fooking excellent lewy. doing great mate. gives me hope on the auto run.
Cheers GG it’s fun trying these autos although I struggled with germinating the Mephisto Chems. Next time I might soak the beans for 24 hours then straight into root cubes and miss the paper towel out. Glad to have you here mate.

Here are the rest of the gang.

Hey 420 I hope everyone had a great weekend, mine was rather busy so I didn’t get around to updating yesterday. I did get some work done in the garden so here we are better late than never.
First up a picture of the group before I started.

I thought the leaves on this one didn’t look quite right and when I checked the ph was low at 5.4. The water level was also down so I topped up and reset the ph to 5.7. I then trimmed the big fans that were no longer needed and topped the two slower branches.

I gave this plant a light haircut but forgot to take a before picture. She’s coming along nicely.

After a couple of days left to heal I thought this plant would be strong again but a little pressure snapped the branch even more. It really is hanging by a thread so I decided to get all the training I wanted to get done and then hopefully I’ll be able to leave her for a week so it can repair fully.

I stripped all the leaves I didn’t want.

I topped the broken branch which I had previously left as i didn’t want to risk snapping it completely off.

I then gave a stem crushing and bend. I also started to bend the tops away from each other.

Fixed in place with wire after checking the ph.

I thought this was an interesting shot showing that the broken branch is nearly double the size of the other branches. It’s almost like you can see where the plant is concentrating on repairing itself.

This is one unhappy camper. I’ve given her a good shot of calmag and trimmed her ugly leaves off. We’re not friends!

Hey lewydeville jumping in real late but definitely going to watch your grow now that I've found it. I just started my first grow ever and doing dwc if you have any tips advice or anything please let me know as I'm new to this and looking for all the help I can get!

Plants look amazing!
Welcome Gutter444 and welcome to 420. Always nice to have another hydro person in the gang. I’ll definitely check out your journal and if you’ve any questions just ask. You are in the right place as this site is fantastic when starting out as there are so many helpful growers just willing to help.

Wow she’s a bushy one now. I didn’t want to touch her until I was sure the stretch was over but I felt some of the big fan leaves were stopping some tops from developing. I gave her a light defol by taking only the leaves causing shade.

In these pictures you can see the tips of the leaves pointing down. This is because she’s drunk nearly half her bucket leaving her sat in a strong nutrient solution. I topped up with fresh water and checked ph.

So this is how I left the garden. I’ve not visited today so it will be exciting to see how they’ve changed since sunday morning. Thanks for stopping by, I’m off to dab some of this RQS Blue Mistic rosin. It’s very nice.

Training is looking good lew and those roots are looking very nice .
Thank you N, this grow is starting to take shape now. I’m can’t help but smile every time I open the tent as the aroma is building!

Good morning 420. I opened the tent to some happy plants today, even the Pig looks better after her 40 ml shot of calmag! Here are the updates.

I love the look of this strain. This morning the ph was low at 5.4 so I’ve just reset to 5.7

She’s recovered nicely after her training session on Sunday. Ph was stable today so I’ve just snipped the big fans and let her be.

Looking much better today. Res was stable at 5.7 so like the Blueberry Headband I just snipped some fan leaves.

This plant looks far better after her calmag shot although the slight tip bending tells me I might have overdone it a little. Ph was down and there was room in her bucket for a few litres of fresh water to dilute the nute strength. I even took the time to wire the two main branches apart giving the sides a chance to catch up. We’re on speaking terms now! Lol

Her light defol on Sunday didn’t slow her down and she looked all the better for it. By diluting the res on Sunday the tip bending has nearly gone but she has drunk around 40% of the res again. I’ve topped up with fresh water and set ph to 5.7.

A growth spurt over the last two days had me reaching for the scissors again. I’ve taken the nodes just under the tops, I believe another day or so and she’ll be ready for the next round of training which should take her to 16 tops.

That’s all for today, any questions just ask.

I had a question Lew. When you raise your ph in the res do you just add ph up directly to the res or do you mix the ph up into some water in a separate container then add it to the res.

The girls are commin along Lewy good job!
Sorry SOG I totally missed your comment. Thanks mate I’m really enjoying this grow. Quick question for you, are your lights Timber or did you build them yourself? The heat sinks look amazing. I think I need some!

I add the ph up/down directly to my res using 5 ml syringes. To start with I would suggest adding by single droplets as it’s quite potent just until you get a feel for it. When I mix a fresh batch of nutes I’m comfortable to add 1 ml of ph down as it gets me to a ph of 6.1, from then on I add 1 or 2 droplets to get me to ph 5.7. Making sure the res is fully mixed and ph pen has stabilised each time before adding anymore. A little tip is make sure you never let them mix undiluted as it causes a dangerous reaction so you’ll want separate syringes. Be careful mate I forgot myself once and was very lucky.
