Let It Grow With Barney's Farm

Nice collection of flowers, and nice collection of hygrometers too!
Thanks Shed...the hydrometers are all really sticky. I might have to scrape them and make some hash.

Got her topped and started some lst. I'm gonna grow out those 4 tops and train them on a trellis. Her nitrogen deficiency seems like it's withering away . Tomorrow is feeding day..... she's gonna get a dose of geoflora veg nutes.

Now here is the problem child. She wilts every time I water her. Usually takes a day or two to bounce back. I'm thinking to much water at one time. Any thoughts.

She is really dense, the lower branches get no light whatsoever.......Do you guys think I should defoliate her so the smaller branches get some light?

Happy Friday.... enjoy your weekend everyone.

I think you should at least take those huge fans.

Does it also droop when it's thirsty?
Yes, she gets droopy when she is thirsty.

Does the top look dry but the bottom feels damp at the holes? Are there roots coming out down there?
The girls are currently in 1 gallon pots. I transplanted them from 16 Oz solo cups two weeks ago.

I water them slowly until about 10% run off. They got watered 2 days ago. The pot is still kinda heavy meaning the soil still has moisture. The top of the soil and the bottom holes are damp. There are no roots protruding out of the bottom drainage holes. I will mention I allowed the small amount of runoff to be sipped back up into the pot. Maybe that was a big mistake. Thanks for any help Shed.

One option next time it droops from thirst would be to just add enough water to filter into the top half of the soil, but I'm thinking it might be using up the water in the original rootball but not have enough roots into the new soil to drink from there.

When that happens to mine I draw a 1/2" deep circle in the soil where the original roots are and use that to keep the water within that diameter. That way the older roots get wet but the empty soil doesn't get wetter.

You could also grit your teeth and wait another day despite the droop. They're pretty hearty plants.

Thanks Shed....makes sense. I will try less water tomorrow. The girls just started a new day. I will take a peak and report back.

Tuesday update.....the final weight of the clones came in just over 10 Oz. I'm pretty stoked about that. Been burping the jars daily and the RH is sitting right at 61 to 63%.

The purple punch has perked up since limiting her watering to about half of a normal watering. Thanks Shed!

These two ladies must be big feeders. I have been giving them their dose of geoflora veg nutes every 2 weeks, but they still show some deficiencies. Guess I will bump up the dose or dose them more frequently.

10 ounces sounds pretty good to me! Very nice man! 👍

10oz sounds terrific!

I'd go with both based on the look.
Thanks Shed. My last 2 grows was Northern Lights and Lsd followed by the 3 Lsd clones. The recommended geoflora dose of nutes resulted in great veg stage for these two grows. These two not so much. I'm going to take your advice and up the dose and maybe 10 days between feedings instead of 14. Hope your on the mend from the blicki.

Is it true that they prefer a 6.3 PH?
... a friend told me yesterday, he read it in some breeders informations...
I fed the Lsd clones with geoflora nutes...both veg and bloom. I shoot for 6.5 pH when watering the ladies. My tap water is in the high 7s treated with chlorine. So I always let it sit for 48 hrs with an airstone bubbling away. They seemed to do fine until about the 5th or 6th week of flower. I always seem to do fine on all my grows up until the 5th or 6th week of flower then things always seem to go to $hit.

Happy Sunday all and a quick update on the girls.

I started some low stress training on the purple punch. I'm using bud clips to stretch her out. She is doing much better with less water and more frequent waterings......Thanks Shed. I also upped the geoflora dose and a little more frequently than every 14 days.

I have upped the dose and frequency of the geoflora nutes on the blue sunset sherbert as well. But she still seems like she needs more. I just didn't want to overdo it.

Enjoy the last bit of your weekend all.

@SmokinRasta I meant to ask you.......is your purple punch a heavy feeder and very finicky about too much water at one time?
