I’d say I was in over my head if my grow had enough head room…

I knew my measurements were tight, two 5x5s was gonna be tight but surely Lumo-x’s tents would show up small. Dang. Still working the room, gonna at least plastic the windows, remove some tent ripping archeological remnants standing proud. And yes, take an inch off the furthest poles. Slanted roof measures 6’1” at low, 6’7” at high point. But you’re here for the lights….

That's tight.

What have I done? This is my first indoor - specifically, where initial setup is by me, on me. I managed a large hydro for a good friend and climbing partner when he went climbing with someone else and they fell off the mountain, some time ago. Experience is otherwise outdoor. Like Oooooouuuuutdoor. Let’s see, oh, my other excuses are that I have had a really bad decade healthwise. Really kicked around by the severely painful severely real stuff and, well, doing this scares me, doing it publicly terrifies me. So we’re gonna go how we go. No bull crap. Sorry, not sorry.

You are looking at “The Copacabana”. 10 bars approx 1.1m long, Samsung’s, Crees, UV and IR. I’m posting the stats and PAR maps, no ePAR map yet but I think we’ll get there. Its efficient, @2.78 and its got da powah at 2900+ umol m2s. It’s got what we want. They are controlled by 4 meanwells, setup in 3channel: Meaning I don’t have to run the tanning nm’s(300
uvb), or the ‘Bugbee’ nm’s (730+)… but of course I will, duh. Mounting this at a maximum 5’5” from floor, oh man. It’s sure to be a demonstration that discretion is the better part of valour whatever the outcome.
I figure next grow maybe I’ll DIY the driver out of the shed, the connectors are pretty cheap. And the dang thing showed up so fast I had to let it sit at the posties where I get my good mail. Like I said, let’s get nuts. Live pics on the way.

Don't be terrified hehe. Omg no one is going to judge anything you do.
We are all just helpful voyeur's.

These lights have a separate (but directly inaccessible, like most) Meanwell driver for each light type, however, the Cree and Samsung are controlled together with a dimmer knob. It is setup as a 3 channel system. UV and IR can be turned off, on, indiv of each other and 'main lights' (Cree, Samsung). A separate control unit would be capable of recreating sunrise or sunset with your own prescriptions for time and UV, IR contributions. No doubt I'll be looking into that when my net worth recovers from subsidizing Jeff Bezos' space travel.

Well, it works! I had brought it up to room temp slowly overnight because I had some moisture concerns (we’re having a proper cold snap and snow, all the cold aluminum and UPS appears to have transported it in a water truck), then put together today for a tester.

After an hour @ 10% for a warm up I gave it a proper test and put the pedal all the way down. It drew 1036 watts. I’ll get around to a watt-by-watt breakdown on the indiv channels at some point, but not likely soon. My tech. assessment is that yes, yes it was bright AF.

Has anyone designed a good rig for holding your phone so as to make proper PAR readings? I use Photon, iPhone.

This is going to be a simple DWC journal. My next entry will list and display all of the pieces of interest, but to re-state, this is a first time hydro self grow setup by someone who hasn’t grown anything in a long time. I’m disabled, slow-witted, essentially very little personal and practical resources so if I can sort this, so can you. If I don’t and burn my house down, you might find even greater utility in my steps and choices! I will have some issues to overcome quite similar to people who might be starting or restarting and I’ll do my best to get at the crux of things as I seem them.

Ah, here's the directions... Ooh look, I can just put the frame on its side and they've added a extra long zipper, it'll be just put the peel back on the orange...

Oh crap....

Ewwww-kay then. Not much (any) roll-over space here. Looks like things are gonna hafta get Euclidean around here. Where is that bookworm?

"Oi Euclid, get over here and make yourself useful for once, eh!?!"

Awwww but that's alright. I still have to put correct foam insulation wrapped in fireproof materials in the windows (fire will go straight for the air supply and you're not fighting fire in a toxic cloud for longer than 15 seconds, ask me how I know). Then I'll have a second person confirm what I think I know about my household electrics (we had a transformer fire on our street this year. there's a new experience), sort out my fire suppression plan/layers because Murphy's law rules all and I've already fought a plastics/kitchen fire in this house and BARELY pulled it off. Also, once you've lived and worked at sea and been trained by the navy every few years at their 'live-fire' site, you just can't think about it all enough, day-in, day-out. So I won't put the cart before the horse by bein all hyped on my new junk (at least, not completely lol)

Here's most accessible piece on whetters that I've read in.... yeah, ever. It's not like there's been a tonne of competition, still, I think it's well done. Lemme know.

make your own room like i did , as i had a sloped roof also its green on 1 side and silver foil on the other side works great couple of 1x1 to screw it together , home depot has this plus it maintains a pretty steady internal temp , get the 1 inch thickness size for it to be sturdy

Hey @NOOOBIENOT hope you had a good night.
Those panels look great.
Do you remember what they cost? Are you in the U.S.?
Do you remember the fire rating?
I will probably insulate a shipping container for growing that would be perfect.
Thank you.
