Hey Stank Man. We're good here today. Laying low for a change. All I had to do was flip the timer.Hey Otter....hope you are having a great weekend brother. Got that White Rhino up potted a couple days ago...she's moving along nicely. Gonna flip her next week!
Ignorance? My pinching is supercropping without the bend I think. I'm so out of control on that plant all I can think of doing is everything I've ever seen, and in no particular order. Since I'm so out of control I thought I'd start with 1- Pinching every few days which I've been doing. 2- When the colas get all the way to max light adjustment (in a few days) Strip all the big leaves off stalks. 3- If that doesn't keep them in place, a good supercropping.Congrats on the flip otter! That tent is going to me a solid mass of buds soon enough . Any reason you're pinching the runaway rather than supercropping for more tops?
I Love problems like these. I can only learn from making mistakes. This might not be one yet! When they make their move I'll/we'll figure it out. Before last harvest I was almost out of bud. I get nervous when that happens. It's just not right. We're good now so I can feel free to do what I have to do without feeling too bad. Thanks. Oh there's lots of lower growth so my bad for not having a bigger tent. HeheI've never done the first two but the pinching seems to be working a bit for you, and I've read that stripping will slow stretch. But I'm with you on bogarting light with the supercrops. That's the one downside to the bend, unless there are lowers that you don't care about and can cull. That's the decision I make when I bend over a lower. I figure the bent top is going to create 3 or 4 new tops so those lowers can go anyway.
Every 10 days so right now it's every other watering. Is that what you meant? How often do you inoculate with the ACT? I'm not a soil guy, but if I was, and basing on my current practice, I think that would be my only source of water is with the ACT. Can it be like that in soil?

Hehe. The ACT I used was the first one I've ever made and used. I got The Rev's book and am using it to guide me through making living organic soil. Of course I'm getting world class coaching here too! The 10 days is his suggestion and his soil recipe. For now I'm giving it a try. I like your every 3 days idea but I'll stick to this for now. Soil may have a different reaction being slower to react to things below the surface. I don't know.yeah, that's what I was asking. Is there a reason not to inoculate every watering? I'm in hydro, but I use ACT about every 3 days. The roots can't get enough microbes.
You don't want to use ACT too often. You can actually get too much bio activity going on in your soil if you over do it. The most I have used ACT is about every 5-7 days....basically alternated plain watering with the ACT. But when your soil is really good, you don't need to do many ACTs.How often do you inoculate with the ACT? Yea I get you. It's a super idea and I'll likely try it one day but I want to get a "book" grow in before I improve his work.I wasn't implying to inoculate every 3 days, but every 5, or to omit watering with just water, and swapping out the watering with another inco. Is the "Rev's book" something that is online for free? I like to be as informed as I can about these topics.
Thanks Van. Good information. You don't want to use ACT too often. You can actually get too much bio activity going on in your soil if you over do it. I'm in up to my nose VG. The light can go up 8 inches and thats's it. I started supercropping one cola yesterday. I guess if I don't push limits, how will I know where they are? This grow will be ok. How ok is going to be the constant question. The pinching has worked well to keep the colas stunted so far. Stretch is the test. 3 days in and so far so good 18 to go(or so) before I sculpt a flowering scheme in there. You sure you're not going to run out of room?
Oh my. Good luck my friend. I think when I run these again I will flip by week 3-4. They should still be a good size after flowering stretch.I'm in up to my nose VG.
