LED Trinity Grow - Round 1

Love your setup. Just read the whole journal, phew, a rough start, but they have come a long way and are great:). You've done a grand job, its not easy with a new setup. Reps for you.

Thanks for the reps and for taking the time to read through the journal. There have been some ups and downs for sure but everything I've learned is all filed away in my head for the next grow. Only 4-5 more weeks to go, I hope I can keep up my good luck all the way to harvest.
Thanks again Dutch. :thankyou:

I was like a blind man too, except I was prob deaf too. I still am, but at least now I know I am on a freeway :)

I am glad to hear that the defol went well overall. Hopefully the widow forgives you! :circle-of-love:

I too just read the whole journal. First nice work so far! This journal is exactly what I needed to see right now. I have been considering a super closet system but a smaller one. I'm really interested to see what you yield off of those beauts.

I am in Canada as well. I have a fistful of questions about your closet that may be better left to pming...?

One thing is like to ask about the unit itself is how do they seal the doors? You said smell is not an issue at all when closed so there must be some weather stripping of some sort?

Keep up the great work and thanks for posting! +reps to you sir!

Hi Valc, Thanks for the interest in the journal, main reason I started the journal is because there was no info or reviews of the LED Supercloset when I was shopping, so I'm glad I'm giving you some information that will help to make your decision. I love my closet, it does grow some nice plants but there are a few things that I've mentioned before, and will say again about the closets.
First things first, gotta answer your question.
The smell is not an issue while the doors are closed, but when the doors are opened the smell gets out and smells up the whole second floor of the house, so something to consider when changing the reservoir etc. Supercloset seals the doors for smell/light using weather stripping around the door frame. They also provided a little extra weather stripping to do some final seal ups on my own if necessary.

Overall the closet works but is not as stealth as I would like it, honestly. The fans, air stones, and carbon filter fans all make noise, anyone with half a brain will know its not a normal storage cabinet/closet, and the fact that it is locked (if you lock it) will only arouse curiosity more. Also there are PVC tubes that stick out the back of the closet for electrical wires etc.. so closet sits about 6-10 inches out from the wall. Repeat.. the closet does not rest flush against the wall.
Don't get me wrong, the closet is great, but for the money you might consider getting a 4x4 tent setup with bubble buckets from Supercloset. It grows just as well and is much cheaper, knowing what I know now, I would have gotten a tent super room.

If you have anymore questions by all means PM me and I'll get back ASAP.

Hi everyone.;)
Time for another update. Today is day 34 of flower. Girls are looking good, but honestly I was thinking the buds would be a little bigger by now. I guess they got stunted with the defol a little. Everything is running pretty smooth still, PH went down to 5.6 and PPM went from 1100 up to 1210, so I'm very close to being dialed in on the nutes/water PPM ratio. Topped up the water lvls and PH'd the water back to 5.8

Just for fun I topped the new growth on the biggest 2 Master kush clones. I'm gonna keep them trained for low profile until the next round, and then transplant them into the big closet.

Today's Stats
Day 34 of flower
PPM= 1210
PH= 5.8
Air temp= 78F
Water temp=71F
RH= 64% and dropping cause running dehumidifier.

Cloning machine stats;
PPM= 244
PH=5.8

The girls.

That's it for another update, I have to do another update for my Blue Mystic grow now, as you can see by the last pic, I'm out of head room in the smaller closet and top cola is touching the light, ahhhhhhhh!!! :)
Until next time stay medicated my friends.

:rollit:

Your thread has been a wealth of info both on the cost and how to make good use of it.

I am going to build my own cabinet. I may insulate it to cut down on internal fan and reservoir noise, thanks again for good info.

It will be going in a spot where a storage cabinet wouldn't be looked at twice.

I will definitely need to pick your brain...

Thanks stealth!

last grow I had the same problem with running out of room and having tops just inches from the light. it caused some serious bleaching and caused the cola to foxtail badly, one cola was ruined. I suggest you try and pull the tops that are really close to the side to get some distance. also if your ph is dropping and ppms are rising you might be running your nutes a little hot. you want your ppm's to drop slowly. you might want to dial back the strength. :)

looking good stealthy:)

:Namaste:

Damn, those ladies are really basking in the light there Stealth! I would follow Ronnie's advice and try your best to pull some of those colas from the light because in the next 4 weeks they will definitely be growing into your ventilation system ha ha :)

No worries though, you have the know how to make the right move when the time comes! Good Luck bro! AG :peace:

Hi guys, good Sativa day to everyone.
Just got back from my first practice as assistant coach on my sons Hockey team, I was dripping sweat by the end. Whew!!what a work out, and I wasn't even skating nearly as fast as the boys. I need to medicate, where are my rollies? :lot-o-toke:

Ahhhh, that's better. Now down to business. lol
I'm gonna go visit the girls in my blue Mystic closet today and start bending and supercropping. Don't want to lose a gram of my girls to bleaching or foxtail.

Excited to see them again after some manipulation. With the closet set up running out of room and bleaching is a major concern of mine.

Hi Valc, I didn't get a chance to see the plants tonight, family stuff comes first, tomorrow I will see them for sure.
If your gonna get one of the superclosets I would definitely recommend a 6 foot tall closet and not a shorter one for MMJ. Space is not an issue in the 6 foot tall closet but obviously in the smaller it is.
Next grow shouldn't be as bad now that I have a better idea when to flip lights and how many plants to put into the closet etc.. but the 6 foot closet looks more natural for stealth and is just better for the height of the plants.

Great job stealth. I cant wait to see how they finish!

Thanks Cloud, neither can I. ;)
