LED Trinity Grow - Round 1

Nice very nice I would love to give LED ago:grinjoint:

Hi Jaga, hope your having a great day. Money permitting, you should get an LED light when you get to your new home or the next time you need to replace you bulb, don't, get an LED light instead.. :)

Extra hours of dark shouldn't hurt during flower, but as mcloadie said any light can break the flower cycle, even dim light from a torch.

If they had over 12 hours of dark (you think 35h?) then fire away with the torch, this won't hurt - it's only if they haven't had at least 12h of constant darkness that interrupting with lighht hurts. So if the lights failed to come on and the night wasn't interrupted until you turned on the torch all should be good, though it may have been worth not bothering with the torch and just turning the lights on and resetting your light cycle so it came on for 12h - I'm not sure how an extended dark period, short burst of light, and then continued dark until lights come on as per the original cycle would affect things, as opposed to extended dark followed by return to 12h light, 12h dark.
If you do need to check during the dark period then use green light (you can buy cheap green bulbs easily, these are fine) - plants can't absorb green light so this won't interrupt the dark cycle.

the lights were off for about 23 hours straight til i showed up and let the smallest amount of light possible into the closet. If it was lighter than a full moon it certainly wasn't by much. I had to check the roots and swap out the ice packs then closed the doors. I reset the timers to original time cycle it was on to match up with my other closet, and the lights should have come on this morning for their normal 12 hour cycle. So in all, other than the 2 mins I had the very shaded flashlight on the area of the girls to check everything out, they were in the dark for about 35 hours. They better be alright, all the work i've put into it, its these freak summer storms that pass in the middle of the night that cause the power surges, its not even enough to reset the clocks most of the time but what can you do, the storms will stop as soon as fall arrives and the heat of the summer turns cold.

Sweet pics in your last update friend. Those new little leaves coming out looked perfect. Your thumb is so green it looks almost blue or black! Keep up the great work. +reps!

Thanks Rainstacks, I've been growing with :green_heart:. lol
I'm actually surprised how easy it is to maintain this grow (other than the freakin power outages in the closet) now that they are fairly large plants, the hardest was when they were seedlings, they are so vulnerable. Now I'm pretty much just topping off water supplies and changing the reservoirs every 7-10 days and the plants are doing their own thing. Updates and new pics tomorrow night, I'm really hoping to see some pistils, it will be day 11 of flower.

I'm sure they'll be fine mate. If it tripping out is regular, or if you just want peace of mind and the flexibility to check during lights out then if you google "green grow room light" you can pick one up for about £10, they're not hugely expensive

Thanks Knight.
Its cool, I'm going to see them tomorrow and from what I saw last night no real damage was done to the plants or roots, I'm thinking it will actually help induce the flowering and get those pistils out. (fingers crossed) Once this grow is done and cash flow is a little better i'm gonna get an uninteruptable power supply as suggested by KingJohnC, that will solve all my probs.

Hi everyone. ;)
As promised, here's Day 12 of flower update and pics. First off let me say... PISTILS!!!!!:)
The girls are doing great, the lights out for 36 hours didn't seem to hurt them, I did notice a lot of the small stuff under the canopy was all wilted so I removed it and cleaned both plants up a little, but the top of the canopy is doing great. Oh yeah, did I mention PISTILS!!!That's right, pistils, I never thought I could get so excited about a plant, but there it is. :)

I changed the reservoir tonight and gave the girls a 3/4 strength nutrient feeding. Last time's full strength feeding the PPM's were a little high, so I decided to lower the nutes a little. Overall the plants look very healthy, they are high fiving and no nute burn or bugs/pests that I could see. 6 weeks to go.

Finally the clones I took 13 days ago are doing alright I guess. 1 White Widow clone is doing awesome, the rest are either dead or not showing roots yet. A few have died and I just replace them with cuttings I take as I clean up the bottom of the plants.
No big news here.

Tonight's Stats
Day 12 of flower
PPM=850
PH=5.7
Air Temp=83F
Water Temp=74F
RH= 59%

The young ladies, thank you very much...

That's pretty much it, I got a little excited with the camera and pistils, so hope you enjoyed the pics.
I'm off to the cottage tomorrow for the long weekend, hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys the last of summer. Next update Monday night, until then, stay medicated my friends. ;)

That is some crazy tight node spacing you have. Congrats on the pistils so cool! I will have a similar update when it gets light out. I took a pic but it is so blurry you cant even see! Very impressive buddy! I threw some reps at ya too.

Thanks Rainstacks, I blame the node spacing on the LED's :) seriously though, I do (straight face). My next grow from seed, I'm gonna do 3 Royal AK automatics, I'm going to Top 2 of them once at the 5th node and the other I will leave alone to experiment, then just let them grow, we'll see what kind of node spacing I get on a fast growing auto with the LED's. I'm betting it will be another bush.;)

and thanks for the reps buddy, right back at ya. :thumb:

Subbed! Looks great!
Thanks WildRosebud. Welcome to the fun, your just in time for flower. Grab yourself a bean bag from the pile in the corner and sqooch on in.:)

Hell yeah. Grow on brother!

Bonjour Cajun, ca va? I'm growing, I'm growing....I think I can, I think I can....:)

Thanks Knight.

Plus they look so great looks like you could be in for a very happy harvest:grinjoint:

Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a great long weekend, I did, had a nice relaxing (sorta) weekend with the family at the cottage.
I last checked on my girls 4 days ago, so was very excited to get back into town and check up on the young ladies. :)
Today is day 16 of flower and the girls are still stretching. I LST'd or supercropped the taller branches to try and even out the canopy as much as possible. Today is pretty much the last time I'm gonna bend the girls or supercrop, I don't want to stress the plants when they really start on bud production. The future bud sites are staring to develop with lots of pistils and little flowery leaves. :yummy:

The closets are running like clockwork again, only minor problem is the humidity, today is was at 72% when I opened the closet doors. I know its high so I ran the dehumidifier for a couple of hours to bring it down, and I'll run it again whenever necessary

Some of the clones I took 16 days ago are finally showing roots, 2 White widows are by far the best, and I have 2 Master Kush showing roots but they are still very short. The widow seem much easier to clone than the kush.

Today's Stats
Day 16 of flower.
PPM=770
PH=5.8
Water Temp=68.8 and dropping cause just added a new ice pack.
Air Temp=79.5
RH=63% and dropping due to dehumidifier.

The ladies.

That's all for tonight, really not much happening yet, the girls are still stretching out, but they should almost be done and will start pushing out those buds soon. ;)
Next update and pics Wednesday night, until then, stay medicated my friends.
