To approximate how much a given light will warm a room you can use this formula.

Take the wattage of the light and multiply by 3.2. Then divide by the CFM of the exhaust fan.

The result is an estimate of how much the room will warm in degrees Fahrenheit.

For instance:
If the temperature of the intake air is 75° and you're using a 600 watt light, the temperature would go up 5° if you used a 384 CFM fan. So, the temperature would end up 80°.
(600 × 3.2) ÷ 384 = 5
5° + 75° = 80° "

This is a great formula any idea how you can approximate the temps if your not using an exhaust fan?

1 - 126w raises my tent temp 2 degrees over room temp.

i thought the lens would also make more of a diff to, but it dosent seem to be as of now. their is still a few more weeks left. maybe the 126w will start to fatten up towards the end? i don't know. all i know is tonight i feed them with the good stuff to get them all fat and dense. cant wait to see what happens.

I have 2 126w in a 16 cubic foot temp and my temps go up about 15 f

Damn, Warbux, 16 cu ft is like footlocker size... I can see 250W heating it up. Isn't your growspace bigger than that? Looks bigger in the pics.

It will be really interesting to see if thats the case. I think Cammie said she expected to lag behind at first because of the extra wattage.

Yea my tent is really small man. 2x2x4 about the size of a footlocker. Its 16 cu hehe I just packed so much equipment into it that it just looks bigger in the pics I think

I am extremely impressed with this journal, this is awesome. This seemed like a good time and place to post this, sorry if I’m hijacking in anyway.

I am currently constructing my first grow in a cabinet for six plants and since I can’t fit two of the 126 w lights , I was wondering if the 318 w penetrator would be a good idea as it would fit perfectly. My cabinet dimensions are 37 In.W x 19 In.D x 62 In.H)
So far, the only major difference that I can see between the two company’s products is that Hydro grows are more economical and still appear to produce great bud, the guy also defends his product which is a plus. I assume that their other products will stand up as well.

From what I posted do you think that the Illuminator Pro Series Hybrid 350W would get the job done, or should I consider other options?

i cant tell you witch light to use but IMOP i would use all 126w's or 180w's not the bigger ones seems you would get more foot print that way.

today i went into my room with a bad picture. my BD on the PS side that had the biggest buds of all of the plants, had some of my heaviest branches laying on the ground. the main stock was still standing but 4 of my heavy branches folded over with her leaves droped over. i don't know what happen? if it was too much weight or what? i feed her with some B1 and tied her branches back up hoping she will get back into shape by helping her support herself. i am really bummed out, she was my best plant. i hope she will pull threw. i hope she makes it!!!

I looked into my tent last week and saw one of my plants lying on its side with its roots in the air out of the water... Never want to see that again. I put it back into the water, straightened out the leaves and stems, and it's acted like nothing happened ever since. I think yours will be fine.

i hope it dose make it. the limps that fell over seem to be all limp like their tons of water. but its not from over watering because they haven't been feed since last sat as usual. i dont know what happen? now its going to make it hard to add up total yield and compare each light, since the other plant was a runt and now this one got all messed up, all i have is one very healthy BD on the 180w side.

That sucks dude, but you can still weigh the best vs the best from each side. IT may not be the best since it's not all 3 vs 3. But it's still input!

That is a shame man. Do you have any strains that were doing good on both sides? If so I would use that to find your totals.

ya i have that other BD on the 180w side but she wasn't nearly as big as the one that feel. the one that fell had nice bigger bud formation. then that little hindu skunk on the 180w side is a runt from day one, so that one wont be fair. so i am left with one healthy BD that wasn't the bigger buder out of the two.
hopefully she come back around. if not them i just do the best one out of her BD vs my healthy BD on the 180w side.
it just sucks i hate seeing my plants hurt, their like my kids i love them

How thick were the stems? Are the stems healthy looking?

To make it more fair you could remove the biggest plant of that strain on each side in your calculations.

I have a bunch of LED lights that run on battery for those odd occasions when the power goes out. The light out put is low but it will keep them going till the power comes back on. I am working on an array of solar panels in one of my windows to provide back up power to run my lights. I need more batteries, but I have the inverters ready to go. I also need to find more 12 volt lights. Cool Yule and happy holidays

To make it more fair you could remove the biggest plant of that strain on each side in your calculations.

what ill do is give the total weight of each plant and make a note of that plant that got hurt. then everyone can make they own opion on witch light to buy if they wanted leds, and ill make my own pion on what ive seen threw out the grow to figure out witch light i should buy. that way everyone can see all the weights and make up their mind what they want to do as far as comparing the hurt plant. ill see her in a little bit when the light comes on and maybe she will be ok.

here are some pics of the fallen plant. the whole plant seems to be doing ok, just the fallen branches don't look like their going to pull threw. two main branches got hurt and allot of bottom branches also got hurt. hopefully those branches will pull threw in a few days. but at least the whole plant ant dead even is she was stressed out of some yield, at least i will get something from her. ill keep an eye on her and see if she keeps growing as normal, or if she starts to lag.
