LED Grow Test

re: LED GROW TEST. 126W hydro grow led VS. 180W

I have contact on the other end, so it's all good, just curious!

Keep up the good work Irish! Too bad it won't be a x-mas harvest for ya!!! Still, your going to end up with a good harvest! :0)

Take care guys-

Sounds like they are well on there way, and am looking forward to seeing those buds. A picture is worth a thousands words, on pins and needles here. I want to see how this all ends. Great job...

re: LED GROW TEST. 126W hydro grow led VS. 180W

does the 180 seem to be making denser buds? or are they maturing faster?

i could be misinterpreting the pics but do both lights have a very obvious foot print?

if you want to compare to my 400watt ill add my current grow to my signature your about 2 weeks ahead of my oldest plant.

oh ya
beautiful plants i love seeing them just growing wild

i don't know if the 180w is making denser buds then the 126w because i don't squeeze my buds and damage the trics. but they are fatter/bigger buds with the 180w as of now. but i can tell you that after tomorrow i will have all dense buds no matter what because i am going to feed them with gravity, that stuff makes them rock hard.

um dont quite know what the question ur asking about the foot print is? what do u mean "do both lights have a very obvious foot print?"
do u mean whats the foot print for each light?

i think both lights claim to have a coverage area of optimum light (and earlier i believe you had stated that at least part of your plants are outside this area) and i was wondering if it is plainly obvious that the size of the area is correct. it looks to me from the pictures that there are colas more exposed to the area of optimum light.

i would say that both lights would do/ come close to what is claimed. its just since the 126w uses 60 degree leds the lights power is all in side the light fixture once you start to go out to that the lights drops off alot, so when ur getting that 2x3' area claimed its not all that intense thus causing alot of shading from the leaves.

the 180w get a much larger foot print since it uses 120 degree leds so the foot print is bigger, but penetration is going to die down faster. although i am getting descent growth down low with these plants it would lack allot more if taller plants were grown.

all of my colas are exposed to the optimum lights. just some side branching isnt all exposed to optimum light from the 126w side. but very little is like that just a few branches.

re: LED GROW TEST. 126W hydro grow led VS. 180W

To approximate how much a given light will warm a room you can use this formula.

Take the wattage of the light and multiply by 3.2. Then divide by the CFM of the exhaust fan.

The result is an estimate of how much the room will warm in degrees Fahrenheit.

For instance:
If the temperature of the intake air is 75° and you’re using a 600 watt light, the temperature would go up 5° if you used a 384 CFM fan. So, the temperature would end up 80°.
(600 × 3.2) ÷ 384 = 5
5° + 75° = 80° "

Great update, again. From the pics it does look like the 180w is doing a bit of a better job, but thats just from the picture of course and only you can really tell what is going on. But who knows there is still time. + rep

yes the 180w is doing a bit better as my eyes can see. but its not all said and done until i have each plant on the scale, that way you guys can see the numbers for ur selfs.

nice i like that:goodjob: thats good to know thanks!

re: LED GROW TEST. 126W hydro grow led VS. 180W

cool that is good news.
dont know if anyone as asked already but about how much do the led's raise the temp in your grow space?

1 - 126w raises my tent temp 2 degrees over room temp.

Great job Irishboy. +reps
