Hey Irish they look really good. Sometimes I think the 180 is ahead and others the 126. Pretty close so far. The 180 seems like its more dense then the 126. But maybe thats to be expected because of the extra wattage. Do you have any closeups of either plant?

no my camera sucks every time i take a close up it comes out blurry. one the buds fourm my camera takes better pics just not to good of one in these stages. i want to get a close up because i have resien all over the place. it snowed in their.lol.

HGL 126 and 63 received yesterday...i've got a sick momma to try and fix before i get into my first full grow.

What's the opinion on watts/sqft on the the HGL's? I've got a 4x2x5 split into 2 sides equal at 24" wide. I've got the 126 and 63 side by side in one half the cab.

on this test right here i should have had a 126w and a 63w because my 3 plants are growing out of their foot print on the HGL side.

the 180w side i have some foot print to spare but lose pentration because of this. it still seems like i am getting good pentration though, i am very curious to see if i do?

You think you should LST them a bit to keep them inside the recommended area?

i wanted to but i was looking into that the other day and it would just move the folige all too close and block a ton of light pentration since they bushy plants.

but i guess thats the name of the game. after all this test is to see what each light can do straight up with 3 plants each. plus i dont think its too fair on Pro source's side since they lights are made to cover a wider area and are lacking the pentration the 126w has over it. i want to see what each light can do with only 3 plants with no help.

if this wasnt a straight up grow test i would do things differnt. but HGL claimes her 60 degree 126w will out perfourm the 180w so i feel its best to just leave the plants alone and see what each light can do?
so each light has its advantges and disadvantges one has a bigger foot print and one has more pentration. i want to see how each of these differnces play out at the end with only 3 plants.

I wondered about the footprint myself. When your doing the dry weight calculations maybe you could make your comparisons by strain instead that way the ones that were not fully in the footprint can be noted.

126w is claimed to be 2x3" @12"

180w is claimed to be 3x3 @12".

i am about to go in their and mesure this because the tray that the plants are in is under 3ft its like 29" and that plant is out of its foot print on the 126w side. so i want to see whats going on?

the 180w is covering all plants plus some but thats because they use wider leds then the 126w.

i never asked this but has anyone here smoked blue dream? ive already smoked my other plant i am growing the Hindu skunk, and it was some fire. but haven't smoked blue dream before

I bought it once, in the middle of my first grow from my friendly neighborhood dispensary.

The flavor was really smooth and slightly fruity, but the high didn't pack the punch that I was hoping for. After I smoked it, I put it under my pocket microscope and the trichs were mostly clear/slightly cloudy, so whoever harvested it was either in a hurry or didn't care once they reached the desired size. But I notice that the stuff I've grown is for the most part stronger than almost anything I've bought at the dispensaries...

ive seen pics and it looks like some fire, but ur right i guess it all depends on who grows it.
