LA's Quick Guide To Simple Backbuilding Technique For Buds!

Definitely going to try this. We're allowed to sell excess to dispensaries to help
keep us under our legal limit, so commercial appeal will be important to them.

Hey All:

Here's a shot of my Skunk #1 at Flower Day 43 - I back built the buds at Day 31. She's under a 400W HPS and six (6) 23W CFL of varying color temp (6500K - 3000K) as side lighting.

I'm absolutely sold on this method - simply incredible. I expect these COLA's to be as thick as beer cans before they're done :)

I heard of this a while back, tbh. Was afraid to try it out, thanks to the brave souls who blazed the trail. Will be doing from now on. Makes complete sense.

I performed this technique about 3 weeks ago and my buds ARE as big as beer cans!!!!

Hi All:

One of the things I've noticed about the backbuilding technique is that the tops of the COLA's "recover" so the speak. The tops round off and it appears as if the tops had never been touched. At this point I backbuild again and the buds continue to fatten up. Check out the latest photo at Day 52:

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

That's very interesting, very interesting and the timing is spot on. Just last night I was noticing they seemed to have repaired themselves. Awesome

I don't have a before pic here, but I have one on my journal. But this is a pic of a plant/bud that I backbuilded,, and it clear from this pic at harvest time, two weeks later ,, that it repaired itself.

Meanwhile the lower buds on this branch fattened up.

Shout out to LA for sharing!

All I can say right now is this is quiet simply awesome and a great thread, simplest and best tip ever!
Would lobe to see more weight comparisons, surely that density and fattnes some you have got would have to raise weight. One things for sure there there's no yeild loss or loss of quality.
Big :thumb: up to LA and all the growers with their pics and input :)

On my next girl I'm going to literally cut the top off every single bud, top ones bottom ones, big ones small ones. It's clear which ones I chopped and which ones I didn't this time.

Also I bet you could do this process every 2/3 weeks. And see incredible results (I'm sure at some point it will stress the poor girl). But they repair themselves quick. And shoot out calyxes in all directions. You could probably chop each calyxe that pops up.

Ok ok. I'm getting a little excited here.

Point is: it's a great technique that can to performed more than once in more than one spot.

Whats good :420:?
Tonight is day 45 of flower.
As i said earlier in my journal, I decided to perform Light Addicts bud back building technique.
I have never done this before so hopefully I got it right.
Shout out to LA. :peacetwo:

Last two days I have fed them only 5.8 ph water with silica. No nutes.
I want to flush one more day then hit them hard with nutes to close out week 7. After this I will flush them until finish.:surf:

Little more then two weeks before harvest and I'm wondering if I should do this to my SCROG. What do you think L??

I was thinking about harvesting March 7, but I could go another week. But no more due to family travel plans.

I'm starting to see some foxtailing, I read the breed does it, but I'm thinking this might stop that and improve things overall.

I did it with my autos and it worked great, not sure when I did it with them, I should look, but it was about two three weeks out.

Thanks again for sharing!!
