Landrace Genetics 101

Well we'll find out together if they're a scam. I'll blast that shit all over the internet if they are.
And I'll help you. You know I've been thinking that in my teenage yrs I was hanging out mostly with punks, thieves, hippies, freeloaders etc.... a moral jungle so to speak, where petty crime was as normal as a morning coffee and this kinda thickened my skin, but also gave me this anti-scam sense, which most of people don't have.

Maybe these seeds will be great... but if they're not... well, just sayin'.

I just hope these seeds are legit
- Hawaiian seeds all the way from .... ummm Oregon. Tsunami rolled em in just the other day!

I was there... was da big wave bra.

Seriously.. my first order came from HI and the next few came from Oregon. The order that came from HI took like 3 weeks... thought it was a gonner.

Prolly easier to ship to Oregon then ship to everywhere else... I'm thinking that and sticking with it. Best packaging ever for seeds too!

I have a few good friends that live in HI and come back home from time to time. One of em is here now, I'll grow some out and share....

Hopefully I will hear; " haven't smoked anything like this since I was home."

Grow Landrace seeds in organic soil without nutrients... prepare for a very large plant! I like to let them grow naturally in soil. They get real big real fast.
8' plants, and they still stretch with flowers already set, I'm sure outdoors they are monsters.

I understand, my motto has always been "live and let live". But thieves and scammers are unacceptable by me.

Scammers... well depends on the scam, if importing cannabis was the scam, I'm all for some freshie Maui Wowie...or Punto Rojo

or hey Thai Stick... wish they would bring some of that back to the states again... although I think they were doing some of that thru the CIA then planes and boats.

The term "scammer" to me means more of a black market deal instead of ripping someone off....

They use a lot of Neville's old genetics along with Shanti's

Oye... we prolly shouldn't talk much about em....

I know I wanted to... but you seemed so enthusiastic.

Yep - the idea of a pure landrace Hawaiian Sativa - sent me off the charts a bit. .

sounds like Bob has successfully bought from them before...
8' you reckon bob? Mmm just popping out to measure the height of the enclosure above my raised canna growing bed...

Well all my plants pretty much grow that big indoors! Specially the Landrace versions. My soil is on its 4-5th run no-til organic and it's hitting its stride right now so everything grows like crazy.

Here's 2 landrace Sativa plants I just chopped ... this was a little before harvest. There's actually 3 Landrace Sativa there. The tall one in the back right of the pic is still going. That one is going to be the star..

PMB - Purple Monkey Balls - Just starting to turn purple should only be another few cool nights and she will be done. That's her colas looming over the next round of ladies just getting going. She's actually bent over and tied to the light chord in between the lamps.

PMB - Nug shot, smells like grape bubble gum.

Much of what's called Hawaiian today on mainland is watered down or even fake. Da kine pakalolo! :Namaste:

I would counter and say that much of what was called Hawaiian then, even in Hawaii was not that great. Case in point, I used to send my brother (my real genetic brother) who was living in Wailuku, Maui weed from California. The good stuff for sure, but sinsemilia from Mexico and Central California. Most if it SPANKED the local Maui Waui. NO ONE on Maui believed it was from the mainland. So my brother gave up and just told them it was from Kaui. They believed that. This was in the 1977/78 time frame. I was also a chef in those days, and there was a large contingency of Hawaiians in Marina, just north of the Monterey Peninsula. I worked with many of them in restaurants, and I had access to all the Maui and Kona bud that I wanted. Most of it was just not that great IMO. The local NorCal stuff was better and cheaper. Now, that said, the BEST hashish that I ever smoked was Kona Gold hash that my ex-roommate brought back with him one year. That was da kine. I never had any Maui that knocked my socks off. Thai was better, and likely the main source of the Maui strains. But we were spoiled with weed in Central Coastal California.

I am growing some rare Maui strains this year here. One is a super strain said to be the best of the best. We shall see. I can compare it 1:1 with one of the Mexican landrace strains that I sent to my brother back in the day that I saved seeds from.

Here's the Nierika Acapulco Gold at 12 weeks from the flip to 12/12, but only 8 weeks since it started to flower. From what I've read it has 2 to 6 weeks to go, the tric's are getting plump and cloudy, but no amber. (I did nip the bud tips today.) There's no way she's gonna be done in 2 weeks but 6 seems like a bit much. Any opinions?
