Landrace Genetics 101

seeing that seed in the last pic made me smile and remember back when I was a teen we used to get cobs or just malawi gold and it was always fire. The buds always had huge big black seeds in them. That was always the best type. Took so long to finish that all the seeds matured.

Thank you Lerugged!
I love stories like that!
I find the pollen so fine on Mulanje, seemingly much more so that any other strain it seems it just blows everywhere when you are doing your breeding work with them even while trying to be the most careful.

That's why I do all my preservation runs in winter as we get winter rains so after they get hit with pollen, they isolate for a week and go into the rains. Very seldom do I come across something that shouldn't be there .Also to keep pollen away from other grows. Don't know too many that grow in winter here

That sounds amazing that you can grow in Winter. I'd guess you're only about 300km closer to the equator than I am. But wow that makes a difference, being able to grow in Winter would be awesome.

I just had to go back and view your plants again @Lerugged. :yummy:

The big girl in the barrel (Kwazulu natal landrace?), she appears to be at a similar flowering stage as my Mulanje, how much taller do you expect your's to get? I am assuming that very soon she'll just fill out with buds and not add too much more height but wondered if you see it differently. Cheers.

Maybe a few more cm taller. She is already filling out buds now. Will update when it is not windy. This particular pheno doubles. Some will triple easily. Scary shiz. Haha. My experience in my environment is Malawi stops shooting up after about 4 ish weeks of flower. They definitely do stretch well into flower though. You should be fine stealth wise.

Good morning.
Here are the Mountain Gold ladies at day 59 of flowering.
Cheers!

Anyone know where a fella could find some ZAMAL REUNION seeds?
I saw some Ace Seeds Zamaldelica in stock on a Spanish company's website.
I would name them but they're not on the sponsors list, so I will tell you this:
They call themselves "the cannabis seeds superstore".
I have dealt with them successfully in the past.
They also carry seeds by a French company with a strain named "K1", which is a landrace from La Réunion.
I also saw some Zamaldelica in stock at The Vault. The K1, alas, is out of stock there.
Good hunting.

Nice Job Lonegreen!
I really hope you made beans? I stopped runing that line quite awhile ago so no more seed other than what's in circulation. You can really see the Oaxacan Gold in her.

Man great grow!
Hope you don't mind I used your pics elsewhere Very impressive!

My pleasure, Tropics. They're really pumping out the trichomes.
Did you mention the photo credit? ;)
Cheers!
I absolutely gave you credit! Honest!
Its hard to say because My Oaxacan showed her first purple when I put her under LED light and I mean the pigments that seemed dormant in the strain just came out where I was able to breed the purple in the Oax to show even when grown in natural light now I have a Oaxacan line that always shows purple in the wine red stems to the purple buds. I never saw purple in the Hawaiian. What light did you grow these under?

These are grown under a Mars Hydro FC-E4800.
