Landrace Genetics 101

Tropics, I got these seeds from a place in BC, Canada called The Seed Farm. My sister had a positive experience with them, and I liked the wide varieties that were available from them. I've been pretty bummed since Ace Seeds doesn't ship to the USA anymore. Any of the seed suppliers I looked at that had Ace seeds did not have all of varieties that I was hoping to grow this year.

I would love to see you post progress on your AG sorry about the seed shipping. I only generate Green Mountain Grape, Purple Satellite, and Zacatecas tribute, but if you google these there are a few outfits that ship these to the States. I am not even allowed to say the name here.:(

My orig MULANJE GOLD repro
Four ladies out of 5 for repro the 5th one threw a ball so compost Three look pretty standard but the odd squat one is Coming on fast with flower and trichs and smelling like super pineapple candy! I already today knocked up the five of her lowers, just under the red tie with a strong pungent boy.
Started outdoors Dec 19th. The other thing I am really liking about this early one is outdoors the top pistils were a cream/pink color the pink pistils have faded since I brought her in under lights.

I love all that I'm reading about landraces. So I thought I'd contribute a pic of my Mulanje female, she has only recently started to flower so is still in a very early stage. I hope she reaches some of the epic visual delights of those cola heavy baseball bats that tropics has been posting! :ganjamon:

I love those narrow leafed sativas, that one's a beauty!

I agree with Zembretti!
Looking terrific! And it looks like she's well on her way!!
It's kind of amazing how much Mulanje can fill out and going by your last balcony grow basking in the sun your nailing it!
I find Mulanje a relatively heavy feeder, a bit more than some other landrace Sativa.

I'd say Mulange is my second favourite strain. First is a pheno of a Kwazulu natal landrace my grandfather collected in the 50's from a very specific area. It beats the melange in high, and flavour as well as it grows massive and super hardy. I'll update with some pics a little later. All my landraces are just about to or are in early flower.
Pretty much the best sativa I and many other I share with, have come across.

That sounds amazing!
I once purchased Kwazulu seed on line from WOS but it did not work out well.
But the fact that you got them from your Grandfather who clollected them is outstanding!
Really looking forward to seeing them posted.

These landraces do not exist in the wild here anymore. They are all diluted with other genetics. Most seedbanks also don't stock the landraces in pure form.
Anyways, the big girl is the Durbs I was talking about earlier. The high is super clean like most of the African sativas there is absolutely no stone. No ceiling either.
