Sweet looking Mex, does Cannabiogen still have those?

Sure she looks and smells nice. This one never was for sale, it was just released in crosses (Mextiza, Red Snake, Purple Mexican)

Looks very special. Did I read that the Oaxaca skull has some Hawaiian in there too?

Yes Tropics=Vermontman had to do a outcrossing and backcrossing project to restore vigor, after growing her for so many years she has shown inbred depressions. He used Federation Hawaiian Sativa for outcrossing since she not changed the overall vibe of his Oaxacan. :)

Re: Land Race genetics?

Now I cannot tell you how frosty it was cause I have the same problem as you, I wasn't even born :cheesygrinsmiley: So you're gonna have to wait for someone who is old enough to remember. But from my growing experience landrace sativas will put out very little stalked glandular trichomes, and they are sparse. Opposite will be true for landrace indicas from Afghanistan, Pakistan, China or Mongolia which have been bred for hash production, and they produce them in abundance. It's how all these frosty hybrids have been created, by finding an exceptional hash producer and crossing it to another plant, pure sativa or sativa-dominant. It's the only reason why you can get AK-47 for example with uplifting high but still have a lot of resin going on and big buds.

Some of my landrace sativa buds to show you how little resin these plants really produce!

This is Nanda Devi from northern India very similar to Nepalese Highland or Malana charas plant:

And this is Malawi Gold from Africa, a little bit more resin here, also more compact buds:

Still, some will produce less and some will produce more. With landrace it depends a lot on the pheno you get. For example I have this Colombian Punto Rojo growing now which is absolutely amazing resin producer, almost like an indica.

As someone who remembers Thai stick in the late-mid 70's I can tell you no one in my circles new what a Tricomb was or frosty meant. The thin looking pic of Thai Stick was what I remember though I saw few. Most cannabis back then came from Mexico and is what people refer to as Baled or Bricks.

I’m a little younger. The first stuff I had that came with a name was Mexican Red Hair. It of course was from bricks and full of seeds. I can close my eyes and still see all of those seeds and throwing them out my window. I don’t know if it was that good or I was so young and soft brained but it was amazing.
I haven’t seen or heard of anybody that’s growing mex red hair but it’s on bucket list of varieties to grow. I’m sure it’s just a generic term for the mex imports but it did have a red /brown tint with lots of pistils.
The highland Mexican x blueberry I’ve tried is more stoney in the high. Goes great with a beer.

Yeah seeds some times there was lots so you wonder how good it was in reality. That's how I got my first seeds. I don't remember the Thai stick having any....
