Lady Cannafan Puts On The Gloves - RQS x Mike Tyson 2.0 -Clash Of Titans 3 Strains

Update on the broken branches. It's been about 9 days and they are forming knuckles and healing well. I took the tape off extremely carefully, because I wanted to get photos. If this happens again, the tape is staying right where it is. The moving around of the branch did cause a couple of small bleeds of maroon/red liquid. They are still propped up with a reverse carhook on a skewer.

Good morning and good work Dr. Cannafan!

Thank you kind sir! I added to the post. The removal of the tape caused a couple of small bleeds, but it will be fine.
I think I like your idea of a splint. Not sure if there is a delicate flexible tape you leave on indefinitely…

Splint works well if you have a fairly straight branch. The curvature of these when the breaks happened would have made it difficult, but could be done. I've left tape on branches that were grafted, the plant just dealt with it and still grew without a problem.

Update 4-21-24

Water/Feed/minor defoliation/training.....and troubles.

While I was tending to the kids late this morning, I found two broken branches on the Punch Pie (Kimberly). I don't have a clue how they got broken, and it appears it was sometime yesterday based on the browned edges of the breaks. Surprisingly they were still alive, just hanging there by a small amount of "skin".
So, I went into a bit of grafting mode and gently moved the ends back together and put micropore tape around them. They are propped up to hold them there with sticks.
Let's hope they grow back together and get a knuckle going. If not, well.....I'll attempt clones from them.

Edit: Almost forgot, I put a couple drops of water on the broken ends before taping them up. Just for moisture, because the ends looked dried out a bit.

poor baby. i once split my stalk straight down the middle during transplant , she turned out a beast!

Good job. I used to call that "split her britches". I've done it getting a little too aggressive with training.. LOL It's amazing how strong the will to survive is with these weeds. ;-)

Excellent Job!! You plant Surgeon/Healer ! Do you make house calls? lol

The clones are outside soaking up sunshine today! Finally.....
The ones with the red tags are the RQS X Tyson

I wish I could enjoy it with them, but a faulty hot water heater relief valve is calling my name. UGH

Hope everyone is doing well! I might be flippin' it tonight.

Video of the garden. Light schedule will flip tomorrow.

I've decided what to do with the three clones. They are doing great.
I want them outside when it's free of frosts, so I think I will plant them into the 5 gallon fabric pots and let them go until they get fairly big on the porch, then take them outside and transfer to the ground by cutting the fabric pot away. These pots were not expensive and I have plenty of them. They should get big enough that they won't be bothered with animals wanting to dig into the pots or chewing the smaller plants up. We shall see.......

Yesterday I planted the Gelato 44 clone into a pot. It's in a fabric pot inside of a hard plastic pot, to keep it stable where it's sitting. It's going into the ground as soon as it's big enough. I plan to just cut the fabric pot off of it when I plant.
It's outside in the center of a cement bird bath, raised out of the water where it will get a full days sunshine. There is a mess of a Honeysuckle plant behind it, so the raccoons won't come in that way to get to her. And the bird bath is too high for them to reach up and climb.
I put the rocks in there to prevent any digging if a critter happens to make it in there, and also it should help to evenly disperse water from rains.
I'm going to top it at the third or fourth node.

Update 5-24-24
Well, carrying all of those out for individual photos is impossible. They wobble wobble and are quite heavy. ;-)
We are just finishing up week 4 of flower. This was just before they got a drink, so they are slightly droopy.

So here they are, each one pulled up front a bit. I think they are all growing relatively the same speed. It's a good thing the height and width are pretty much done now. They are concentrating on buds. There is NO room left under those lights.

Gelato 44 - Robin

Dynamite Diesel - Lakiha

Punch Pie - Kimberly

I know the feeling, I need to do some more super cropping….

UPDATE: Outdoor Clones from RQS x Tyson 2.0 plants

The first one, Gelato 44 clone, is in a pot and is about two feet in height. Growing like crazy. I had to start a neem oil mix yesterday because the aphids were pretty heavily thick on one set of leaves. I will spray again today.

The next two are in the ground near the pond in with a bunch of other plants and weeds. So far they were hidden enough that the deer did not nip them out. Temperatures at night have been cold, and daytime temps are around 70-ish with cold winds. The growth is a bit slow.
The aphids attacked these kids too, although not as bad. They've been misted with neem oil mixture as well.
