Lady Antheia's First Grow - MMJ In Coco - Candida, Blue Dream CBD & Northern Lights

Re: Lady Antheia's First Grow - MMJ In Coco - Candida, Blue Dream CBD & Northern Ligh

Yours are going to be insane when you flip! Once I get a good rhythm going with perpetual, I'm definitely going to veg longer. Also, I'll train more with round 2. Candy is too tall in the main cola, which is probably why she is cupping like Dinsdale said. It's a tad warm at the current distance from the light, but the light is up as tall as it will go with my current setup. If she keeps growing, I'm going to need to change how my lights are hung.

Try bending her over a bit Lady A... It shouldnt hurt her at all, Small amount today, then a bit more.. etc etc

Or, Like I did, Pull her with some string to the edge of yer Light area. I moved all my TALL girls to the edge of my Tent, less Light, Less Heat, they liked it

Ya... My girls are going Nuts.. Like 2 12" tall shrubs.... I may get 2 harvested from BIG tent in a week ish, then they go in

Wishing now I would have popped 4, but I was too afraid I would end up with 4 ladies and no where to put them. LOL! Now I know it would have been a great excuse to get more equipment. :;):

One thing to consider in a situation you described....if you end up with more fem plants than anticipated, you can simply veg a shorter period of time (keeps them smaller and takes up less space) and you don't need to train as much. You could easily grow 6 plants in 5 gallon pots in a 4x4 tent. You could easily grow 8 plants in slightly smaller pots as well. You could veg for 3-4 weeks with a little bit of training and then flip. Consider it more of a use of space than a plant count. You hear people doing SOG and they rarely ever use bigger than 2 gallon pots. Then just shove as many as in there as closely as they can get them. They basically veg for 2 weeks and then flip. My brother prefers growing that way, he hates training his plants.

I am the opposite, i love the one on one time and the ability to manipulate and make the plant do what I want it to do. So I veg longer with fewer plants and still use the same amount of space (4x4) as you would with 6 or 8 plants(or more), train more, spread them out for a lower even canopy and let them do their thing.

I always think its better to have too many plants than not enough. I have to do a lot more to get the same amount of medicine from one or two plants than I do from 6 or 8, even if 4 was what I was shooting for. Again, its all personal preference.

One last thought as it pertains to regular seeds LA. Growing more out also gives a better chance of finding a keeper mother or father plant for either future clones or breeding.

Thanks! I grabbed some leftover craft yarn and a couple of binder clips. Candy was easy to bend, because her stalk is thinner and more pliable. Betty has a beast of a woody stalk, so I ended up doing more of a supercrop with her. I pinched and wiggled the stalk a bit to get her to bend slightly. The stalk had a little kink in it when I bent it, but it's not much at all. I'll just do a little more each day.

Already, Candy has much more light getting to the center of the plant. I'll try to grab a pic tonight at the last feeding.

Great reminder. For some reason, I had it stuck in my head only four plants for the tent. Not entirely sure why, since I had read about SOG and knew it used multiple plants that were smaller. My current number of plants is 10 if I include the 5 clones rooting right now. Hope they all make it!

Juicing has been a success so far. Given that, I would like to try growing many plants for that purpose and may take the opportunity to try SOG just to see if I like it.

Must be so cool to see all those pistils! I'm looking forward to seeing them really start showing every time I open the tent now.

My Chocolope and Kushy Kush both had their tiny first 'false' leaves coming in this morning - we're going to be close on round 2 as well.

Candy was easy to bend in place. She has a fairly even top now, and the flowers are already bending to the light!

Blue Dream CBD didn't bend as well with that thick stalk, but I made a little headway. I'll keep bending a little more each day. Just hope she doesn't break. That would be no good.

Been there done that! Popped seeds are nothing to waste...it just takes some critical thinking on what to do with the extra blessings (and luck)!:goof:

Your confirmed gals look great, those cute little flowers will turn into super buds, keeping them even will require some work but there is nothing better than spending a 1/2 hr to 1 hr:thumb: in the tent to help them along...hell...the smell is worth it!

Sometimes, I wish the garden required more work. Some days, when there's nothing to do, I just sit in front of the open tents for a while, enjoying the view. It makes me happy and relaxed. :)

I am that way with my outdoor garden. I love sitting there (usually in the shade) and watch my stuff grow. The room I grow cannabis in, doesn't really have the room to sit and enjoy it the way outside is, and no watching of the trees sway, listening to the birds, and chasing away the squirrels and chipmonks from my veggies.

Decided today was the day for more defoliation. Grabbed scissors and my colander, then went to work. Filled up the colander with enough for a decent juicing session! Then I poured the juice into an ice cube tray to save for later. We'll see how the defoliation pans out in the end, but the plants certainly have more air and light now...and I got more juice! :)

No flowers yet, but Betty is getting ready.

Candy's flowers are really coming along! Discovered during defoliation that Candy is the perfect name for her. She has a slightly sweet smell that is very pleasant. Betty on the other hand.....

My Candida found a home in the flower tent yesterday... FINALLY
She seems to like it..lots of new growths this AM, and the LST arms straighten out as well
Put her in a 5 gal pot as well. I had to put her on a stand but I bet she catches the other girls in no time

Exciting times with all of those flowers! I'm starting to see pistils too and it's pretty thrilling. Hope you're feeling well. Meds aren't too far off now.

When I defoliate, I always give a few leaves to one of my cats who gets absolutely crazy as soon as he sees them. He loves to eat them!
Next time, he'll have to share, 'cause I'll try and make myself some juice. Do you have a good recipe? :yummy:
