Lady Antheia's First Grow - MMJ In Coco - Candida, Blue Dream CBD & Northern Lights

Re: Lady Antheia's First Grow - MMJ In Coco - Candida, Blue Dream CBD & Northern Ligh

Height is the one measurement I didn't take, sorry. If I had to guess - around 9 ft.

I'm going to keep exhaust fans in the separate spaces like veg and mothers for controlled environment. Once the room is cut up like that with tents and or walls, would 1000cfs be enough?

Re: Lady Antheia's First Grow - MMJ In Coco - Candida, Blue Dream CBD & Northern Ligh

You are going to need to replenish the air in the basement. With nine foot ceilings IMO 1000 is probably minimum. If your exhausting into the basement and plan on drawing from the same air, your heat will rise and the air will get funky, wet and potentially moldy. eww. So either vent each tent outside or the whole room and provide a fresh air intake. I would without actually seeing the room go with the whole room as there is just no such thing as too much air movement in a basement. Get a fan that is able to be variable controlled and an exhaust vent that can be adjusted so you can dial the flow in just right.

:peace:

Us this in a basement??

If so u must have some outside window wells in it...easy to vent out those.

Or... Pop a hole up to main floor in a room close to a window... That may work also

Fun times for ya...can't wait to see what hubby does for ya

Re: Lady Antheia's First Grow - MMJ In Coco - Candida, Blue Dream CBD & Northern Ligh

Great tips, thanks!

He has already found a way to take the vent outside through a wall and use a standard vent cover on the outside of the house. Need to think about fresh air intake and where to best place that. And I couldn't agree more about mold. *shudder*

Oh, I just thought about what my next equipment purchase must be. A light for my ez cloner! Currently, I only have the 4x4 tent and my 600w LED. Clones can't share the same space, so it's time to expand. :)

What would be your ideal cloning setup? I'm thinking I could just buy another 600w LED, but maybe there are better lights for cloning. Remember, I have room to spread out. Help me dream and plan, my friends!

You can grow clones with a T5 fluro shop light .

Any reason to choose that over an LED? Thinking of things like heat, power consumption, effectiveness, and longevity.

I ask because the T5 was the first thing I looked at for seedlings a while ago, but the cost was higher than expected. The LED I'm using in the tent is a little more, but can be daisy chained. :hmmm:

Just want to make the plants as happy as they can be. In turn, they'll make me happy. :;):

I like my T5 because I can start the seeds anywhere really. I am not restricted to the grow tent. They are so much lighter and easier to move or hang. I also think there is less guess work on where to have the light (distance wise). Even with 3 LEDs, I will continue to start the plants under T5. And the prices on T5s are dependent on the size (2 foot or 4 foot are the most common size length wise) and then the number of bulbs (generally between 2 and 12 bulbs) You can get a fairly inexpensive 2 footer with 4 bulbs (96 watts total) for about 100 bucks give or take depending on what company you went with. I also invested in a 4 footer with 8 bulbs, but that is really more for my veggie seedling so I can get a good start on my crops and have well established plants for transplanting when May comes around (too cold to transplant earlier than that).

I do T5s in my auto tent, 8 bulb, and now for my starter area, 4 bulb... In my big tent I use a 600w hps system.....

T5s are easy to use in many places for sure

Re: Lady Antheia's First Grow - MMJ In Coco - Candida, Blue Dream CBD & Northern Ligh

Sounds like T5 is the way to go then. I like your setup of the 8 bulb 4 ft model for veggie seedlings, Van. That's the direction I need to be thinking.

Gauge, that was the price I was expecting, but none of the stores near me carried anything but a HO T5 4ft that started around 80 (not including bulbs). May have to order online. Amazon is just going to get more of my money. :laughtwo:

If you do an outdoor grow and you like to start your seedling early in the season, then the T5 is most surely something you want to go into. I had probably 40 tomato plants that I had going under my 4 footer with 8 tubes (216 watts total if all 8 are on) and I had flowers on my tomato plants before I even transplanted outdoors (hell I had a few plants that actually had small tomatoes growing).

That's fantastic! :)

My garden used to be very large and available for all my neighbors to come get what they wanted (always had plenty), but the garden began to suffer as my health declined. Hydroponics has opened up a whole new world and brought back my favorite hobby. Now I can let things grow indoors that I need to access frequently. The others I can give a very strong start before moving outdoors, and the hubby is working on raised beds with drip irrigation to make it more comfortable and less work for me.

Since this is my first time, I don't know what timeline to expect for preflower. What is the soonest you think I can flip?

Re: Lady Antheia's First Grow - MMJ In Coco - Candida, Blue Dream CBD & Northern Ligh

Their ready so just depends on how big you want them in the end. Most will double their height during transition. That should give you a rough estimate of when to flip. Remember that the bigger the plant the bigger the yield.
