Keffkas Seedsman Comparative: Purple Ghost Candy

Ignore the background, my lattice was wrecked in a storm and I’m waiting on my panel to come in so it’s just ugly brick

IMG_8664.jpeg

However, for those with knowledge, I topped this bush down. It was on its last leg and looked rough. The green cane is growing new branches but the red and wooden are not. Should I remove those?
Yes, they are dead stems
Encourage new shoots by applying plenty of compost through summer, then cut back to the bottom nodes in Oct/Nov for next year flowers
This time next year, cut above the base nodes again for a bush rose
A dose of sequestered iron is very beneficial to avoid black spot, rust etc

But who am I to tell you? Your PGC look great, mine are shit lol

Just copied and pasted this to my garden notes. This is the second time you’ve mentioned sequestered iron, for a separate plant no less. I’ll be picking some up when I get a chance.

To be fair, I grow in soil I’ve been recycling and have a heavy emphasis on myco and bacteria. This makes my grows pretty much autopilot, while being able to withstand a lot of abuse. If I would’ve done coco or hydro I would’ve had many more issues with how wild the weather has gone back and forth.

I’ve lost track of the days. It doesn’t matter, I don’t use the calendar to decide anything else at this point. The untopped are stacking buds. The topped have stopped stretching, should see buds soon. Colas were either super cropped or pulled down two feet and secured to a bamboo pole

Good morning Keff

I got those Lilly Pilly pics. In regards to your rose bush if you want really healthy looking rose bush I’d defs cut it right back. But if you want to watch the wonders of nature there is a possibility it will try and correct itself as long as the necrosis isn’t complete.

My Lilly Pilly looked dead for 6 months. I was shook about a month ago to see new growth.

So this is the new growth from the original pruning in red and you can clearly see Mr DeadStick, looking super dead.

And here’s the new growth.

Omg! And I swear to God I didn’t mean for that pic to look like a cock and two balls! No wonder I get serial reported for “vulgarity”!

My haters are gonna load up 420’s mailbox over that one fo sho!

Lolling!

You know what makes it funnier? I saw two eyes and a long nose until I scrolled down and read what you saw it as 😂

I imagine that’s going to have a lot to do with perspective. I’ve never been on the receiving end of a cock and balls so it would’ve had to look like this for me to see it first

IMG_8668.jpeg

😂

I shudder to think what 'the receiving end' of cock and balls feels like Keff, but girls and gays love it, so I surmise we are in a minority...no?
Besides, those are either unfeasibly huge bollocks or a pathetically small dick
:smokin:

Penises and balls both make me laugh and horrify me. Women and gay dudes claim they love it but I’ve known the dudes they sleep with so I’m not sure I can really trust their judgment 🤣

Welcome to the Jungle! 😊❤️👊.

Such tall ladies😍

This is going to be a good show😎

Every body is budding now. This is gonna be dicey. One of the untopped plants wants more water so I added another 8 minutes to the schedule since we’ve left stretch and I want to stay damp the rest of the grow

IMG_8669.jpeg

I circled the leaves showing they’re thirsty
IMG_8669.jpeg

It was tiny with an almost 4 inch stem

IMG_8689.jpeg

It was reaching for the light.. I put its tiny roots near the bottom of a cup of my used soil and snaked its stem around the inside. Then I covered it and will let it sit in this almost dry soil, in the shade, until tomorrow when I will water it thoroughly and slowly in the morning.

Then we’ll have a plant to grow outside. If it’s a female (it should show its sex quickly with such limited light) then it’ll become a plant I try cloning again on.

I’m a bit too scatterbrained to clone effectively on my own in the limited space, so it’s going to take multiple attempts and likely a checklist. Also a separate light of some sort since I take most of the clone branches right around bloom.

I get them from time to time. I think when I toss used soil out it must be the odd seed that didn't germinate for me.

I get sprouts that pop up in my containers as well. Maybe leftover material that didn’t make the compost, with the right hormones sprouting in basically perfect conditions?

Or even material that’s fallen from branches on that very plant?

My guess is seeds that didn't pop and got tossed out, then winter chills them and the pop in the spring. The problem is which seeds from which year are they🤣

…They’ve learned to sprout in the seedling bin. Smart (or creepy?) 😂

Good morning Keff :)

I’ve got a simple clone method if you want me to share.

My strike rate is 100%

I even got this to strike lol

I root mine in a cup of perlite out of direct light, so you don't necessarily need a light at all. I even have a cardboard separator to shield them from direct light from the next section over in my veg box.

I do multiple cuts per cup so all I really need is about a coffee mug's worth of real estate off to the side somewhere, though in colder weather I'm finding a heat mat helps speed things up.
