Keffka's Recycling, KOS Blue Thai, Herbies Seeds Apple Betty, Runtz Punch

I have found that some strains work really well in aero cloners, and some strains work best in a soil-like substrate (coco, pete, pro-mix, etc..) and some work either way, so if you have some pro-mix or sunshine mix kicking around you can always try that before purchasing a cloner.

That’s what I was thinking. Some strains seem to just like life simpler so I would like to have a little flexibility. I’ll definitely be getting an aero cloner, but I’m also going to try to do a simple setup so I can figure out what works best

So I was chosen for the Seedsman Purple Ghost Candy comparative grow. I didn’t even realize it was a competition 🤣 I thought it was just to showcase sponsor strains. This doesn’t change my plan.

I’ll be creating a second journal and running the Purple Ghost Candy alongside this journals plants. I am gonna drop the autos though. I’ll grow the autos outdoors and just stick with Blue Thai and Runtz Punch indoors. I may even drop the Runtz Punch since the PGC is is a sativa heavy hybrid, we’ll see

Can @bluter or any other web savvy people explain why these two accounts have been around for years, but only have posted once, today, years later, about dating? This seems too similar to just be a coincidence. (Obviously this is spam but what would’ve happened for this to play out?)

I report a different one the other day with the same spamming message

They seem to come in waves for different industries.. This one was dating, I’ve seen law services, prescription drug delivery, and weird ass AI bots trying to engage growers

The internet is getting weirder and weirder

Here’s another one, and this looks like it was an account that was active but is now spamming.

@420 are you and @Marc Ocean tracking these? It’s almost like old accounts were “hacked” and are being used for spamming. Normally I would just report but these are multiple older accounts posting the same thing

Over time accounts get hacked, sometimes even reregistered after expiring. Spam companies are insane and act like ants to sugar. The recent attempts to drum up engagement in the forums may have flushed a few of them out. This has been going on with all sites for years though, nothing new. Just keep reporting them and we’ll keep shutting them down :thanks:

Thanks for the explanation!

This is one of the only sites I’ve used often enough to notice stuff like that. As always, I appreciate the effort you and yours put in for us!

I'm in with you on the Purple Ghost Candy Grow! Got the news today! That'll be fun!

I believe it’s a 60/40 sativa/indica so they may be a good candidate for manifolding. I’m gonna see if I can find a few more grows/images of the entire plant so I can get an idea of its growth patterns.

Any time they put “candy” in the name it catches my eye, even though the entire naming culture of cannabis strains annoys me lol.

Seems to have 2-3 dominant phenos. Looks stretchy/tall in each of the shots I’ve seen so definitely can be manifolded with ease. The sativa in it is pretty strong showing with the bract towers. May benefit from a long, warm and humid flower, definitely need myco firing well. Should be interesting.

Ive reached out about dozens of accounts also. Definitely something weird going on. I could see people popping in and out over time. But they will get it figured out!

So I went into a mini rabbit hole about it because I was fascinated that they seem to have a level of organization to what they’re doing.

It’s a literal industry. There’s a few standard operating procedures they have. One is, a person or persons will come up with a spam/scam scheme. They’ll create a whole “package” filled with photos, links, websites, etc. for their scam. They will then setup a business in a loosely regulated place like India or some far flung Russian village. They will then employ people like regular 9-5 workers to sit at a computer and just spam this “package” all over the place hoping to get someone. They can make it worth it if they can get just one person a month, and they almost always do.

The other common way is even less intelligent. Instead of coming up with the “package” themselves, a “businessman” will purchase the “package” on the dark web or some other back channel. They will then turn around and again, setup a business in some random office building in some random country and they will employ people to use that purchased “package”

Then there’s the freelancers who will buy a package or create one and do it themselves.

This is why we see so many similar scams and schemes and why they seem to come in waves with very similar characteristics. It’s a billion dollar industry, because there are sad, and vulnerable people everywhere that are just dying to give their money away to someone that pretends to show interest. Some times it’s a rough situation you have pity for (like the lonely widow), others, you realize, you don’t have to be smart to have money (the horny middle aged person with loose beliefs and a large wallet)

Oh no! That's me! :nervous-guy::rofl: I can't be trusted with computers or cash. I don't need to meet women though, They'd get me with "Free and Cheap Tools! Milwaukee, Dewalt, Price Glitches, Click Here!"

I’ve got all the tools you could ever need but I only accept gift cards 🤣

Yeah it's fucking sick. It's such a huge problem! I know everyone has some type of hustle but damn.

It does look on the sativa side! Some anyway. I like the mature purple pic! This is going to be good! I grew a Lemon OG Candy a while back. It was superb!

Agreed, just because you’ve got a hustle doesn’t mean you’ve gotta hustle other people. That’s some low shit. Be a real criminal and go after banks, the state, corporations for fuck sake. There’s so many deserving targets that’ll make you a hero instead of scum.
