KB Follows The Hi Brix Road In DBHBB

Straight RO or RO with 1/4 trans between every drench except the cats.

I think Daj is a little high with 1.5ml of tea per each plant. The directions call for 2.5ml with each drench for 6 plants which is about 42 gallons of soil and you have about 20 so 1.25 for both or .625 each, don't need to be exact but high doses of tea can be bad.
So when you say 1/4 trans do you mean 1/4 of an ounce? That's always confused me.

Ah yes, thanks Ween... Typo on my part. I did indeed mean 1.5 for both but you’re right 1.25ml would be better.
Yea KB you need to use that tea with every Drench... keeps the microbes happy. That probably why you have the spots on the leaves... soil is going flat from not feeding the heard. And dunking them doesn’t hurt the microbes at all, if anything they love the oxygen exchange that occurs.
Edit: wanted to also mention that I’m pretty sure doc wouldn’t skip the tea. He may not have mentioned it but that’s only because he probably just forgot to put it down. I can’t see a scenario where you wouldn’t use it with a Drench. But I’m still pretty new to this so maybe someone can clarify.
You may be on to something. I added 2ml tea when dunking in my 1gal pots with 3gal water. Now I'm realizing that is too much lol.

So mini update, plants seem to be doing good after transplant! You guys were right saying they would explode. Seems like they've put on double the amount of growth. Not much stretch yet but only been a few days.

Here are pics of them right before lights on, color seems to have gotten better and no increase in rust spots imo. Will be feeding with 1.5 gal straight water each when my saucers arrive today.

Hey KB! Your coco "roots" run deep, eh? I'm pretty sure you want to let them dry out. Didn't you give them a nice trans drench at transplant just a few days ago?

Did you flip? Doc flips the day of transplant. Me personally, I would give them a week. Once you flip, you still want to let em dry out like in veg, just once, then keep them moist, not wet, I water every 4 or 5 days but am in 15s, in 10s it was every 4 days.

Plants are looking better and will look even better each day. Loving that fresh soil!

Aye, transplanted on 7/9 into the 10s kinda going off your recommendation of watering every 4 days. But I could let these dry out a bit more. They were flipped on the same day, still not showing a definite sex yet. Thought u seen hairs on one but can't find them now lol.

Yea, I’d definitely wait till they dry out. Could be around a week or more before they will need water. Just do the pot lift and when they feel like they are getting light give them a drink. Overwatering is something a lot of people do, and you doing coco before will make it hard but you’ll get there in time. Ladies are looking really good!!

The struggle to not water is real!! These pots are friggin heavy and guess I need to find difference between heavy and friggin heavy

Ha! You did the right thing flipping, Doc is the master, damnnn look at his plants, always amazing!

He also lets them dry out once post flip as if still on veg, then to the every 4 days thing. My 15s are very very heavy, ha! I have to move 1 every time I water or brix to get to the others, good thing I'm strong. I hate to say, because I just got these 15s but I'm thinking about movi g down to 7s, not because weight but I want to run more seeds/variety.

:yummy:

I like the bigger pots myself, but with 700 years worth of seeds something has to be done..

I do like them too but talking with Yeti yesterday, he got over 7 zips from a 7 gal pot and averages 4-6 (which is what I averaged in 10s) uses less than 1/2 the soil, gets more variety and still yields very well. I wish I could grow hundreds of plants!

How many zips are you getting from 15s?

My first run of 3 plants I got 3.5 and 5 from 2 very different phenos of SPS and 10 from cogs.

I only ran the 15's once with the Mandarin Cookies before I switched for the same reasons as you.
I don't recall the exact weight.

Oh, gotcha. What size pots are you using now and how many plants?

Sorry for the hijack KB!

I am using the square 8 gallon pots, right now I have 3 plants from my last seed cracking (2 were males)
Next the plan is to monocrop the IC91 & PanJam until I run out of high brix soil, using the 8's. (three more runs roughly)
Then I will take a break while a new batch cooks.

High KB, OL and Ween,
:passitleft:
I ran 15s once and that was really cool and all, but I agree with you Cats, variety is the ticket.

:high-five:

2 MONSTERS! OVER 1 LB EACH! I'm considering a 4x8 tent but I sort of have that with 2 4x4s, just need the veg space. How many plants do you run and in what size pots and what do you average yeild per plant? Sorry so many questions.

Brudda Ween,
If I am gonna run perpetual my yard has to expand and contract with the seasons.

I run 3 4x8 tents dedicating one for veg.

During the cooler months I will run
16 ladies in 10s in two 4x8 tents.
The yields range from 5 to 10 zips per plant.

When it gets hot, I will only run one 4x8 bloom tent with a minimal amount of plants no more than four.

I have bloomed in 6 or 7 gallon pots and those are the sweet spot for variety.
In those, 3 to 5 zips are common.

All are welcome to talk about whatever they want here! Better than me just talking to myself

What is this monocrop you speak of??

I at least need to get the hang of hi brix before I grow variety. Growing hundreds this method doesn't seem very efficient lol, would be using 5gal just to brix.
