Justin Goody's Sponsored Journal: Featuring NextLight & Dope Seeds Gelato & Zkittlez

If taste is what you’re after then organic living soil is the only method to really hunt what you’re after. I honestly used to doubt that weed could be so flavorful, then I took a dive into living organics. I believe living organic is achievable using geoflora. Unless... are the nutrients water soluble or not?

your two autos look completely stellar after the stretch
Hi Chef! @GeoFlora Nutrients is totally organic. With each two week application you bring in a fresh load of raw nutrients and the microbes specially equipped to deal with them. You simply top dress and water it in and the granules slowly break down over several waterings.

Thanks Em! I thought it was something like that.. so it’s a whole living soil powder in two parts... I like that idea. Do you mix it globally prior to transplanting or sowing seed?

Maybe I’ll look into getting some so I can give it a whirl too!

This is all great stuff to know, thank you.
GeoFlora is also sending some type of soil conditioner, so that will be new to me as well. I'd like to us as much of their line as possible and see if there are subtle or more obvious differences.

I havent done it yet when sowing seeds, but I give them a half a teaspoon when they get established so that the organic feeding cycle starts. I think there is a recommendation to pre treat soil with it prior to planting, for the same reason, so I don't think it would hurt anything. I also try to give a good application of it upon transplanting, such as I just transplanted some clones into their final containers, and I fed them the veg version as they were watered the first time in the new soil. In three weeks I am planning on moving them to bloom, so they will be one week into their last veg feeding going into stretch. When it comes time to feed them after that, it will be the bloom version that they receive.

Id like to give their products a try and add to them a watering regiment with EM-1 and @GreenSafe ’s foliar system. Seems like a fool proof way to grow nice large organic harvests.

Midweek update:

The Gelato is on blocks to even her out with the Zkittlez, which is getting quite a bit taller.

Both have good looking stalks, the Zkittlez is like a little tree trunk already.

Seems the tent is doing it's job well, and will be able to contain these just fine as they stretch. Looking fine with all their beautiful bud sites.

Just noticing the fit of that light in that tent, @Justin Goody. It's got to cover every nook and cranny of those babies! They look super. :Rasta:

beautiful clean undercarriages in here and great airflow underneath the canopy! Great Job!

Indeed, the light is 24x21” and the tent 27” square. Overkill? Maybe ;) but I’d rather have a little too much.

Thank you! Feels like they are enjoying themselves and thriving, I’m enjoying seeing what the different genetics are bringing out in them.

It's crazy when they break free of their restraints! You can hear them taunting you :).
Break free of their restraints??? They must face the consequences...
They've been punished accordingly...A few days ago I was reaching the gallon around to feed the Gelato in back and I hooked one of the main branches on the Zkittlez with my thumb and I heard the biggest snap I've ever heard in the garden. I had to prop up the branch/section (1/6 of the entire plant) a few different ways and wood glue it. Amazing plants, you can't even tell it happened. Disaster avoided.

The Gelato is forming flowers in a way that I really like seeing. They are already getting dense, building slowly, hardly any node spacing. They love this light. It's obvious they are going to be a frosty bunch very soon, the flowers are already way ahead of it's sister in trichome production. It's NOTHING like the last gelatOG I grew, I'm excited to see how much much better it turns out.

Couldn't be happier with these ladies. Not much to report since yesterday, just happy to be here
DS Day 47.JPG

Currently at 5.2g/G MC, .8g/G SweetCandy. Moving into flower, I'll alternate purpinator and SC, occasionally adding a very small dose of superthrive to keep all those forgotten micro nutrients handy for when this plant reaches. For now the color is pleasing, as is the structure of these flowers.

Looking great, Justin!

When you give them Superthrive do you give it alone or mix it in with the MC feed?

Right into the nutes. It’s only a few drops (say 1ml) but a little of that stuff goes a long way.
I was under the impression for years that it was only to be used in veg, but a fellow grower here showed me the way.
For an old “outdated” kind of product, it’s a life saver for certain plants, why not cannabis?
The more boxes I can check for what nutes/micro nutes I supply the plant at crucial times, the closer I get to that ideal taste.
I figured out (like many of us) that forcing Terpinator and other K down it’s throat only causes further issues like lockouts. Giving a more balanced smorgasbord in hopes the plant will appreciate it and return the favor. With flavor :p
