quick q mate. how long after seeing first roots till you start seeing new growth?

It can depend on various factors mate. But in the cloner, I usually see top growth a week after good root growth. I'll be over in your journal too check it out mate. Cant remember if youre in coco or what. Its importent too let the roots get oxygen, if youre overwatering it will slow growth. Same with high temps.

Juicy my man just got back from Amsterdam.. bought a little thing for u, so drop by when u got the time

Got temps in check, but I feel I get a little less light compared to ordanairy reflectors.

Can u remove the glass fitted in the tubes? I believe they do filter and reflect some of ur light in a negative way..
I think the air flow over the bulbs works great without the glass cover...?

NICE B.S. Looking forward too it Cant really remove the glas, without destroying it.. I could use my old reflectors, but take a look at these pics just before defoliation, they are getting the job done.

Sure you can, I'll snap a couple tonight.. Yeah the 2 smallest plants has started to get a little green in the res, but the plant still looks healthy though, I'll just let it do its thing, and see what happens.

I recommend too paint or cover the res in some sort of way, its just too see the effects here..

Alright, here are a few pics from yesterday.

2 Bottles are showing clear signs of algae, both of which where the smallest and slowest growing in the batch from the getgo
Also they are showing some weird growth, if you look at the middle part of the stem, there are no nodes, or at least there are no sprouts from the nodes like usually? Since both plants are the smallest and haven't grown as much right from the start, I suspect the problem has been there right from the start. Maybe those two bottles haven't been cleaned properly before transplanting, dunno, lots of possibilities? I just don't get why those two are affected and not the hole lot? Like the test run 4 out of 4 bottles showed no effects from receiving light in the res.
I am pretty sure a frequent water exchange is key to keep away algae, even if the water and roots receive direct light it is possible.
Not sure I can use this discovery in any way, but it has been fun to look at roots these last couple of months, hehe..

Hmmmm

Sometimes if algae gets a hold of one of my 2L's, I flush the roots with water and drop the top into a new bottom that's clean, then just scrub out the old one with my hand and tap water... seems to help keep it at bay

Dug one of my slow growin clones up outta the coco it was in was quite amazed with the roots on it. Gentlt placed the roots through holes in the top of the dwc/hempy an 24 hours later I got half an inch of new growt an the top growth pointing towards the light an not flopping over like it was so think I'm gonna dig the other 6 out n do the same then I got 13 clones with 3 inch roots ready to go from the cloner

Nice they are coming along. I think you're right, on your thoughts on over watering. I think that's the reason you experienced slow growth, it will get better now, good call on the transplant bro, cheers!
