Jon's Sneak It In Auto Grow

Pink Rozay
Day 84

Whoa. Beast mode. I didn’t think anything could outyield the Apple Fritter, but this thing is gigantic. Wish I’d have used a seven!

Apple Fritter
Day 83

She’s fading fast but hanging in there! Here’s all of her and the business end. These spears are rocks. Literal rocks. I bet I could hold one out horizontally and it would stay. Lightsabers. Jeesh. And you may notice she’s a fairly large auto. Heh.

Btw - now you can see the results of Dual Sombrero Training. (DST). The two towers are the two shoots from the main topping, allowed to grow straight up the entire time. Everything else up top is side branching off them. The lower ring in this case has become so dwarfed by the top that it’s practically irrelevant. I probably should have chopped it completely instead of just paring it down. But even those buds are pretty dense. This is unusual for DST - but an almost six foot tall auto will change the equation a little.

Here’s a closeup that tells the incredible story. Except for the two branches from node four, the entire top is side branches off two mains. That’s astonishing.

My Sky Muffin is starting to turn into something like that. Her secondary shoots are starting to push up higher than the canopy will be able to keep up with. So I'm having a two tier canopy coming.

This Fritter is going wild!

Yeah, you gonna two tier it? Are the wild ones to the outside?

I'm watching it and will if it wants. I think she's asking for it. The shoots that are getting proud are the shoots from the top two branches lawing flat becoming the canopy otherwise a little lower. Is that how it's done?
Idk SO. When I train from below, I simply try and keep the canopy entirely flat the whole time. If that means I have to anchor each individual branch, then so be it. The more anchors you have, the more control you have. If you anchor every branch up front, it’s a simple matter to either raise or lower as you go without having to reposition the anchor further out. I make a point when I stick the stake in the dirt to try and get it halfway down the length of the stake. That way if you need to raise an inch, just pull it up out of the dirt an inch. Lower? Same thing in reverse. One and done in the anchors that way. Can sometimes make watering a pain in the ass.

Does that help at all?

Yep. That's what I do. This one's going up in the middle I'm thinking unless I pull the secondary shoots down and I'm not.

I almost always prefer to let the lowers come up and keep the uppers horizontal as long as necessary for them to catch up.

Day 90

Whoo hoo! So you guys have seen the plant plenty. Instead, here’s a very interesting photo of my bud wash set up. Lol. Bathtub appears to be a good spot. Buds will drip into the tub. I figure I’ll cut the plant up, wash the first bucket and hang on the hooks, and while they’re drip drying I can empty bucket one and get bucket two ready. And the five gallon bucket fits perfectly under the bathtub spicket. No lugging buckets of water. Very excited! My first bud wash! @Azimuth, look, I took some of your advice!!! It DOES happen. Lmao!
