I’m about to grow my first. Barney’s Farm Strawberry Cheesecake Autos.Autos all look alike to me as I have never grown one.
Nick I want to watch that grow.I’m about to grow my first. Barney’s Farm Strawberry Cheesecake Autos.
Messing with my mind and my Excel sheet. Everything else is Fem Photo. This I know.
I’m just looking at weeks in flower. Sats longer I’m popping first. Measured in weeks.
The two autos - 80 Day’s from seed? Dunno. We all count different. That’s super quick as I see it so doing last. Like a 7-8 week photo. Seem right?
Nick
Lots of autos are about 80 days from seed. The longest I’ve ever had one go was 104 days. Most are between 75 - 90 days. The flower times tend to be about the same as photos (Keith and I are testing that now), it’s the veg times that are shorter. Try to lose the “autos are different” mentality. Treat your autos as if they are photos that you only want to veg 30 days. Whatever you’re going to do in terms of training, get it done as early as possible. And uppot! Start in a Solo and go to the final pot. Also, don’t use 3s! You’ll be shorting yourself. They’ll fill 7s if you know how to water. The best results will come if you treat the auto the exact same way you’d treat a photo. Nothing is different. Train the same. You see my grow. Just photos with a fuse, that’s all they are. Oh yeah, light. I go 24/0 til pistils then to 20/4. Do what you want but don’t give them less than 18/6.I’m about to grow my first. Barney’s Farm Strawberry Cheesecake Autos.

That's a great description Jon! It's just that one doesn't know the length of the fuse.Just photos with a fuse, that’s all they are.
One does when one grows the same strain a couple times…That's a great description Jon! It's just that one doesn't know the length of the fuse.
Nice.I’m about to grow my first. Barney’s Farm Strawberry Cheesecake Autos.
Take it for what its worth but every Barneys Auto Ive grown went over 90 days, all but 1 over 100.The two autos - 80 Day’s from seed? Dunno. We all count different. That’s super quick as I see it so doing last. Like a 7-8 week photo. Seem right?

Even though they went over 100 was there a point before that where you felt that you could have taken them if you wanted? Or were they clearly not ready til after 100? I have a Barney’s Farm Dos Si Dos auto in my current grow and it’s huge and the last of six plants to go to flower. I’m curious how long it’ll go. Barney’s say 10 weeks from seed, ie 70 days.Nice.

Maybe its me, or maybe its Barneys choice of Auto cross.
3 varieties and 4 plants in different seasons and styles, both indoors and outdoors, Im leaning towards it being genetics, or the topping delaying them.
Maybe a few days at most.Even though they went over 100 was there a point before that where you felt that you could have taken them if you wanted?
When theres no oustanding reason to go early I try to defer until the swell and they come in heavy with the smell. That put me over any 80 day timeframe every time.Or were they clearly not ready til after 100?
Im not surprised Jon, your track record of bigger Autos and plants coupled with Barneys genetics will definitely give you a big girl.I have a Barney’s Farm Dos Si Dos auto in my current grow and it’s huge and the last of six plants to go to flower. Wow, thanks so much for all the detail! Idk man, every breeder seems to be different and I always go longer than they say. No chance the Dos Si Dos is done in 70 based on what I see right now. I’m sure you’re right. I go by the trichomes. To me, indoors, they never lie. When I’m at about 5-10% amber they come down. But again, every breeder is different. In terms of accuracy of marketing, right now I’d say Blimburn is really accurate, and Ethos is too, although Blimburns autos destroy Ethos. Growers Choice XXLs and Blimburn super autos are serving me well right now. And hey, if the trichomes aren’t ready for 120 days, so be it!Maybe a few days at most.

Let me put it another way.
If they go to flower in 35 days, then simple maths kinda says 35 to 50 more is finish time....seems awfully short.
Got to have stretch, bud site development, stacking, crinkle, and swell in that time.
Im not surprised Jon, your track record of bigger Autos and plants coupled with Barneys genetics will definitely give you a big girl.
Im doubtful of 70 days, but youve grown enough plants to judge how far along she is in development in relation to her time left.
My runs have seen them linger in mid flower at least as long as a photo. If theres anywhere time has been added its there.
I noticed in your notes you run them at a longer cycle of 20/4 than my 18/6 so perhaps some time will be cut.
I responded to Nick as he seemed to be trying to figure out where to put an Auto in his run, I was suggesting the breeder cycle is a lot shorter than I have found in reality so he could give it consideration.
Last one I did was 140+ from memory, and started out like a runt, did very little pre flower and went ballastic in stretch.
Jon I am going to be in the same boat as I know I do not have enough to get me through this grow. I am going to have to find another nutes system. I was thinking of using Advance Nutrients. I used it in my last grow, or I could try Fox Farm idk I have a little time to figure it out, but I do not have a lot of knowledge about nutrients.Nutrients Change
Well, somehow, even though I have almost 80% of the other five bottles, I am officially out of Bio-Si, the first ingredient in the Prescription Blend feed. It also happens to be the hardest ingredient to approximate with something else. So the PB is done. I did get the tent fed with the last of it. The Pink Rozay and Apple Fritter in the 420h/Blurple Closet switched to Remo nutes today. The first four weeks of flower with Remo doesn’t change, and since I am far less familiar with Remo than I was with PB, I don’t “adjust” the Remo. I’ll follow it to the letter for the rest of the grow. I have most of the small prize set of Remo and all 7 ingredients in gallons waiting at the ready. Btw - a gallon (4 liters) of each ingredient of Remo cost me over $400. Christ.
Here’s the sad reality regarding the PB. On the far right there should be a bottle of Bio-Si. Lol.
Keith, are you in the U.S. ?Jon I am going to be in the same boat as I know I do not have enough to get me through this grow. I am going to have to find another nutes system.
