Jon's Final Florida Journal For Real

This is why @KeithLemon - sorry if that came off too direct. I feed the seedling when I put it in the ground. At 100% of the recommended concentration in the PB chart for seedlings, I think it’s 1-2 ml/gallon of Core A and B if memory serves. I add calmag on day one too. Now this is coco, I know, but still. It’s designed to be used at 100% start to finish. Try it. You’ll see.
Again it’s also strain specific, try using the same recipe on a Golden Tiger and it will burn 🔥 but Krissi is growing a Durban with no problems. Idk why? CL🍀

This environment will work great for early veg.

Plants grow differently. Those Tigers seem like a hard plant to grow you have to be on top of them all the time.

I used an entire gallon of it in flower on the 8 plants this grow. It’s gone and has been for a week. It’s so light, and the additional sulfur didn’t have any ill effects. I use it every grow and have yet to have an issue with it. If nothing else it seems to “smooth everything out.” I am quite liberal too - 20ml/gallon with every feed. Beginning when I see budlets. Idk. It is one of those things I believe works for me that I can’t very adequately explain technically. EG used to use it as I do and we discussed it at length. She’s since switched, but it gave me confidence and so onward we go. Probably a worthless answer for you but that’s what I got. Lol.
It has been proven to me over and over again that these nutrient intensive budding/fruiting weeds , at least the big ones, can use potassium in excess of what is generally believed to be the optimum nutrient level that a given nutrient should provide for plants, both in veg and bloom. Geoflora actually studied grows all over the world to realize this, and instead of changing their mix to a cannabis optimized formula, they simply recommended using Terpinator to fill in the gap when growing our weed.
You say that I switched, but I still have not. I still give Terpinator all through the grow, along with SC during bloom. When I move to a supersoil/SIP model in the fall, even though plenty of K will be cooked into the soil, I will still give extra K. I will also still give SC. First, because I think large plants need both supplements to produce extremely juicy buds, and second, because I still have a little less than 5g of Terpinator left over from contests I have won and I project that my bag of SC will last for at least the next 3 years, if I hit it hard. :)

Thanks Emilya!! Sorry, I thought you had switched out the Terp. Cool. Gracias!

Clone Update

Look how much trouble I get in when you’re not here to police me, @NickHardy!

……Suddenly, Nick did a double take. His eyes glazed over. He had several moments of pure bliss - the likes of which he had never experienced. After a time he got used to it and was able to go back to functionality. But he couldn’t get the clone uppotted and in the rig in the tent off his mind. And all Jon was doing was sitting there hoping he didn’t screw up Nick’s clone….

To be continued…

All we do now is place the screen on top when it’s ready. The protruding screws on the underside of the hoop insert into the four poles and then it gets taped solidly in place. Already sized it. It fits perfectly.

I turned off the reds and went back to full spectrum for the clone. The autos won’t mind. I’m keeping her on 20/4 for veg since she’s used to that.

Heh.

Awww sweet…

She’s like a baby deer or giraffe all unsure of herself, or a little girl trying on her older sisters clothes that are too big for her. Bless 🤣❤️😂
It’s gonna look cool as shit when it’s the only thing in the tent. Heh.

Forget about the clothes just go bare ass. She will look so good.

Why the droop on her do you think?
I suspect it’s cuz she got uppotted about two minutes before that picture was taken.

Here she is now at 11 pm. Way more up. By tomorrow she’ll be up all the way.

Idalia gonna hit near you, Jon?
Thanks Nick. Nah, we are way south of the projected path, plus we’re a good 20 miles inland. I’d be surprised if we have anything but normal days.

Hi @StoneOtter - as my first scrog Sensei on the site (remember the one that went hermie a couple years ago?), I have a question for you. Would you mind talking a little bit about how you strip below a scrog and when you do it? Do you actually strip to bare all the way up to the screen? And do you do a major session around week three of flower and pluck after that to keep it clean? I’m trying to learn what I have to do better in this regard. This auto grow I got the flarf pretty low and much improved, but the goal is zero. Thanks so much! I put it here in case anybody else might benefit from your experience.

:thanks:
