Jon's Dedicated Fruity Pebble Cookies Grow Plus The Mystery Plant

Nice rear view. That's two today!
Ha! Nope, @StoneOtter, first one from behind, the others were super zoomed from the front. And I overexposed this one damnit. Lol. Thanks for looking!!!!

Fun With Zkittlez

Let's start with the 5 sister tops. After that it gets really interesting, at least I think.

Here's the tops of each bud. I really like the soft, velvety look that these buds have, and the color is coming in sweetly.

Then we go trichome hunting. These first two pictures are pretty standard fare and clearly we have days to go yet.

But this last trichome picture is the interesting part. Look in the middle and upper left side of the picture. See all those tiny little dots? When I saw that I didn't know what it was and I was thinking oh crap, another pest or mold or some shit I didn't know about out to eat my buds. I tried to relocate the exact spot but couldn't find it. So when I then look VERY closely at the picture and zoom it out some, even though it's blurry with as small of stuff as we're looking at, I look down at the very bottom of that little mass of white spots. See how there's four or five down there where you can make out stems and heads? These are trichomes. Little tiny ones, coming out and filling in some of the space in between the large ones, like a carpet. At least that's what I believe I'm looking at here, and I would gladly entertain any thoughts anyone would care to share. Is this something that always happens and I just never noticed it? is this unusual? Am I reading this correctly do you think? Check it out.

There you go again. Discovering new and interesting things with your fancy equipment and coco soils.

No, the rest of haven't seen anything like that because we don't have your fancy equipment and designer soil. And I think I can speak for the group on this.

ok, maybe not, but I have not seen that before. Would be pretty cool if that's what was happening .

 I do crack myself up sometimes...

Lol, @Azimuth, yeah, my super fancy $40 cheapie microscope and the ability to use the internet to post pictures, along with my pretty standard coco and nute mix - my friend, I'm not breaking any new ground here, I just have time to take a bunch of dumb pictures and ask you guys questions to see if we can all learn something. I never noticed this before if it's common. It's a first for me. You can see it happening in the other pics to a far lesser extent now that you know what you're looking for, so I don't know, maybe it's going to carpet the entire thing, that would be sweet! I'm as blind as you on this one!

Edit: forgot, you hit on a bit more than sometimes with me. I think you should be developing a stand up routine.

Extreme Support Measures

1. Support and fan system right side view.

2. Support and fan system left side view.

3. Elora standing straight up all around after improving support structure, also more compact and allowing more space between her and the other plants without jamming her up too much. Damn we're close to the light.

4. Fulvia buds, these four are my rogues and tower above the general canopy of that plant, and wow are they stacking.

5. Spud Bud canopy picture, or as close as I can get to one.

6. Closeup on a Spud Bud. They are very attractive buds chock full of color. What an unexpected surprise. Well, everything is unexpected on this girl, I had and still have no idea what she was or is going to do. But she has dense, stinky, pretty little nugs all over the place. It is almost a daily exercise keeping her nice ring shaped canopy flat to the light and not leaning to one side. So far so good and I still expect her to finish ahead of the others.

Thanks for playing along at home everyone! In case I haven't said so lately, I greatly appreciate your presence and input in my journal.

:thanks:

Titan Growth Spurt News

The other day when the little spikes that looked like foxtails started shooting out of the tops of the buds, I told you guys this is how they grow, and it will fill in. This shows you exactly what I was talking about. This happens pretty quickly. Here's four pictures of bud tops. Three days ago these looked like those straight cylinders growing up like a small foxtail straight from the tops. Today, you can see they are halfway to filling themselves in. So that's the first four pics, the last one is a color update. This bud is straight up beautiful. Enjoy.

A Closer Look at Fulvia

I dare say this pheno, the larger by far of the two Fruity Pebble Cookies, may also be the faster finisher. The color train has rolled in for Fulvia, whereas Elora is still almost all white. The buds appear to be taking their actual form and tightening up more quickly on her as well. I try to display what I'm talking about here - this is three bud tops and a big forming cola which isn't even close to being one of the larger buds, lol. This one is half hidden and sits on the lower end of the main canopy under the rogues. And it's still quite a sizeable bud. The forest of developing buds on long stalks is so thick, and for the most part way over my head at the top, even with the chair at max height, that it's literally impossible to give you guys anything like a normal tent picture. I'm stuck to showing specifics, or hard to digest canopy shots. Anyway, see if this shows you what I mean.

:adore:

I see a coffee table book in your future...

Seriously, how cool would it be to sit down and flip through a few hundred of your photos? Awesome. :thumb:
You know what @Azimuth, that is a GREAT idea. A big, picture coffee book of page sized pics with only a brief explanation paragraph in white or black small letters in one corner or something. Hard back. Big book. Literally a coffee table weed photo book. Genius. I work in real life for a religious book publisher. Think they'll bite?

Btw - you only think my pics are so good because I post more than most anyone. There are plenty of duds and I see them just like you do. There are literally dozens and more likely hundreds or thousands of people who take just as good if not better pictures - check out some of @Krissi1982's work, or @Farmer Reading, or @InTheShed, or @Virgin Ground, or any of these guys - they ALL possess superior photographic skills, and if any of them posted their beauties as often as I do we'd all be marketing coffee table books! Lmao!

Maybe, but you may need to shop it to more progressive minded publishers. Not sure the religious book publisher's regular customers would be an ideal target audience.

Plus, exposing this side of you to them might change their perception of you going forward if they don't currently know.

Lol. I was only kidding, they never would. My immediate boss, however, is so Left she's off the chart, and knows I smoke and is heavily in favor of it. Which is cool. No, you're right, but I excel at sales and this is an easy sell to the right publisher. There are not a million of them lying around on bookstore shelves yet.

Just so they don't do a check on your known associates... then you are in trouble!

Maybe, but you're the only one with an inside track to a publisher. :laughtwo:

I'm sorry, what's your name, Emilya? Do I know you? What's an "associate?"

And in all seriousness, I think with your setup (media, nutes, lighting) and knowledge of growing, you have to be close to maxing out some of the genetics you grow. Your's are not typical plants and buds and therefore the resultant photos are not something even a great photographer but average grower could achieve.

Easier to find a great photographer than a great grower. Think of all the free seeds you would get from seed companies wanting to be showcased in your next addition. Hell, they'd probably also pay you to do it!
