Jon's Dedicated Fruity Pebble Cookies Grow Plus The Mystery Plant

Titan

I keep looking at these buds and wondering what in god's name they are going to look like. I still have no sign of any color yet, which surprises me a lot. They just keep doing what you see in the picture. And increasing in size. It's got to stop sometime soon, doesn't it?

So I thought a comparison duet was in order. The finished bud picture is the one Growers Choice uses for the Watermelon WeddingCake Double XL Autoflower. The non-finished bud picture is obviously Titan.

According to GC, this:

is going to become this:

Okay, I guess so, if you say so. Looks like one is very far from the other at the moment.

This is why I don't have an army of outdoor plants as we speak.

This stuff appears randomly on leaves if the plant is anywhere near the yard. Doesn't seem to matter where on the yard or if it's right in the grass or up on a chair or bucket. As long as this plant stays in the rig on the lennai I don't get this hated shit. As soon as she sits close to the edge and the yard for a few days we get this. I fricking HATE this shit as much as I hate aphids. It destroys the landscaping plants out front, a few kinds in particular. I believe it's airborne at various times, because there's no possible other way this plant could have caught it. In the outdoor grow, I removed leaf after leaf from almost all the plants as they got infected with this. Fortunately I had enough that I had some to spare and it wasn't that bad cuz I stayed on it. But it SUCKS to have to do that. I saw this again and again when I did the outdoor grow. You have to immediately remove the leaf when you see it. If you don't, it will do two things, first it will eat the leaf in a matter of a few days, and secondly it will SPREAD. If you let it spread you're done. So I watch for this damn shit religiously, and this is it's first appearance. Cost me one leaf. Oh well. Sorry Zkittlez, no more natural sunlight for you. From now on you stay in your rig.

Bonus points for anyone who can identify this garbage.

But that's crap @Jon, I haven't seen it yet and I don't know what it is and if we have it?

I wouldn't worry @Kanno26, I've never seen this anywhere but here. It's not a common pot plant pest, I've looked for it for hours and hours. Even the people who planted it can't tell me what it is. Some virus, they say. Well, it certainly looks just like a virus. I don't know, but I think it's a Florida thing. Probably Trump's fault. Lmao!

Is that an insect? Ew....leaf miner. That can't be good. Lmao.
You win again @Azimuth. Here's a picture of leaf miner damage I found. Obviously identical to what I have. THANK YOU!!!!!....sort of. Heehee. It's the goddamn little larvae of one of three insects burrowing around leaving those lines, and if let go will eventually emerge as an insect. This is horrible. Again.....this is why I have no outdoor plants. I'm simply not willing to deal with pest control on the outdoor level. More pain than it's worth to me, at least here and now.

OH so this is what it is.jpg

It also doesn't sound like the easiest fricking thing in the world to get rid of....great, now I have aphids and leaf miners to hate. What's next?

Did you need an address for the prize pack? You can send me the one you get from @StoneOtter :laughtwo:

Ok, now you're actually getting towards funny. That was almost brilliant Azimuth, and made me literally laugh out loud, not just the L-O-L. Nice work by you.

Hey @Kanno26 - yes, it was Azi, and yes, he's especially helpful to me, but it could have been anyone.....look how easy it is to figure out mysteries. I couldn't find this no matter where I looked, and I don't suck at research. Nobody could tell me (now that we know, the damn company that sold them should know this, jeez....aren't they growers by trade?) what it was. And all I do is toss it out in 420 and almost without fail, someone in your orbit knows the answer. It blows my mind.

Yeah, but in fairness to the universe, you should've just started here. I mean, think about all that wasted time and energy looking for an answer that was right here all along.

Trust the :420:. All good things can be available simply for the ask.

P.S. we'll forgive the transgression this time, but please remember this lesson. :laughtwo:

But now you know that, you only have to cut off the damaged part of the leaf, not even the whole thing as long as you keep a good eye out for more damage. Hell, you wouldn't take the whole leaf off for mites or thrip damage.

C'mon, Jon, let her have a little more of that Florida sunshine. I'm sure she'll put it to good use.

It's a great photo for 420 here and that's it. Really great for what an encyclopedia when we have a 420 forum;)

Wow @Azimuth, you don't mess around. I like you more and more. Thanks. Well put, and funny too. It's funny cuz it's true. - Homer Simpson. lmao

Hey @Jon! I was wondering last year why you weren't constantly mentioning bugs during your outdoor grows. Surprised birds aren't all over your outdoor plants too. I'm with you, I'm staying 100% indoors.
I really only had this issue, no others bug issues whatsoever. I did use a foliar spray of various oils, I forget what's all in it but peppermint oil, and like seven others and it kept the bugs away. Easy. Buy and spray. And now I have and have learned about Safers and ECOWORKS, as well as the SNS 200 series which I also have. So I will be good, I just hate these fricking leaf miners, and now that I know what they are I hate them more. I never saw or let one go long enough to actually see a bug trying to leave. Lol.

Further Maintenance

This is one spoiled plant. The things I do for this girl. I do and I do and I do for you, baby, what else do you want? Oh, some support because your branches are beginning to fall down and drag the plant in all kinds of weird directions? Sure, we can do that, no problem.

I cleaned up underneath, gave her the night time watering, and then chose four spots around the plant to support and try to make her stand up evenly.

This first picture shows you my cleaned up undercarriage and support system.

Here are two closeups on how I supported the branches. There are many spots like this on every branch, which makes it pretty easy to find a solid spot to support from.

Here is how the undercarriage and bottom of the plant look after installing the support system.

And as you can see, she's standing almost perfectly straight now, with all the lower ring buds up nice and high.

Here's one bud closeup to show you that the frost train has pulled into the station big time now.

And this last one was just for fun, I call it "fun with editing tools," lol. Pretty cool colors though i think. I dig it.

Fricking spoiled ass plant.
