I found another one with no plumbing. Just a bucket that agitates the water and then you dump it from the top. This is only $60 and looks like it would work too. I know what you mean about different materials but I also know a lot of companies mark up products waaaay above cost when they specialize. Sorry not trying to jack your thread. Just figured a lot of guys would like a hash making machine but can't afford to spend $200+

You need a vacuum setup, that shit will drain almost instantly, I've used em before, not with weed. It's basically a container with a nipple for your vacuum hose near the rim of it, a funnel sits on top and seals to the top of the bucket, it creates negative pressure in the bucket drawing the liquid through the filter.
 
I think a vacuum set up is a bit much for me bro I just make bubble for myself, I noticed that frenchie only uses a 220 work bag and then a 75 and a 45, he doesnt seperate it into differrent grades and according to Sub its wicked hash, I think I ll give it a try this way the next time I make a batch which will be pretty soon all I have left is some 45.So far Ive done all the mixing by hand which works just as good as a machine really its just hard work lol...since im going to have a ton of trim from the outdoor I think that machine is a good investment. with it I could do larger batches less often:)

Thanks OG I cant even begin to describe the smell in there bro, theres 7 strains in there and when I open the door everynight it just smacks me in the face lol..last round the scrubber was doing a good job of keeping the smell to a minimum but this round its loosing the battle bigtime, its only 9 months old but im thinking it time for a new one soon:)

So for the last few days I ve been carving out budrot here and there and I think its time to throw in the towel and save the rest of the crop.The stuff I havested the other day is dry and curing and it looks pretty good for outdoor, the baking soda got me another week I guess but I wont be using it again, I think by changing the ph so drastically it stopped the growing process or something, nothing has happened since I did it.Next year I ll have a alot of fungicide in my arsenal.I wish Sierra Industries wasnt so slooooooow to ship the notm winnings out, I won this months contest and still havent got anything from them from last months contest, not cool at all imo and I ordered from them once before for they're fungus gnat drench and even though I paid for the product it took well over a month to get heres as well and the product didnt do shit I think it was called 209, really not impressed with this sponsor...

Thanks for the reps! I thought during the video I heard them talking about modifying it with a new hose. After I watched it I tried finding a similar machine and all the machines labeled for hash making were very expensive and didn't look the same as theirs.

Ironic how big of a price difference the exact same machine is when they change the name from washing machine to hash machine lol. I probably won't be getting one until after a few harvests anyways. In the meantime I was going to do the old school method of agitating it in a 5gal bucket with a drill :D


As far as BHO vs ice I def prefer the safety of ice extraction but after 15 years of smoking Ive recently discovered dabs and I'm in love lol.

I have a buddy who lives in the Denver area. When I visited recently dabs were literally everywhere. Weed isn't even worth much in that area anymore compared to oil. What I really enjoyed most was using a vap pen in the car. Literally no odor, instant buzz from one hit, and no other paraphernalia. When I smoke in my car where I live I use a batty and grinder which is a lot more conspicuous.

I've never personally made either product. In a month or so I plan to try making both to compare them myself.

Sorry for the long rant I just know oil vs hash vs weed is a big debate right now. I know what you mean about the extraction problem with BHO. Where I live meth is a big issue and BHO extraction reminds me of a meth lab.
 
yep dabs are very popular but I firmly believe that people that dab all the time will pay dearly for it when they're older, lung cancer,breathing problems ect ect...Like Sub says, if your dying anyways and need bho for pain relief then by all means dab away, but if your not dying do we really need 80% thc butane oil that will inevitably(sp) ruin your lungs and cause you all kinds of problems when you get older? This "instant gratification"culture we live in now is just getting out of hand imho, role a joint, throw some bubble in a bong, eat a cookie, might take longer but you get just as high, I cant do more than 3 rips of bubble in a bong,anymore and im crawling to my bed lol...Look at Buck for example, he needs a strong concentrate for his pain relief but instead of BHO he makes a wicked potent ticture, cpl drops under his tongue and hes good to go with no damage to his lungs, there are much better ways than bho bro much healthier ways:)

Thanks for the insight Jon. I completely agree with you about the health issues associated with BHO. I hate the idea of running chemicals through my hard earned weed even if it is supposedly all going to evaporate. I still
may try a few small batches of oil to try for myself but I think ill mainly rely on hash, buds, and edibles. You cant argue with 3000 plus years of hashish lol

Unfortunately in my area even the weed is bad for you. Most of it isn't flushed properly and can be very harsh. Besides finances that's probably one of the biggest reasons I started growing again. I want to know exactly what I'm putting into my body and you can't get that peace of mind from shitty dealer weed.

When you make your ice hash do you use all trimmings and stems or buds? Also how do you chop it all up and how small? I've seen so many different ways of doing it but never seen someone explain how they prep they're trimmings besides freezing them.
 
Take the fan leaves & any other leaves without sugar, add stems & make tincture...Use all leaves with sugar on them for hashish after they've dried for a day or two...Freezing & drying longer hurt the final product...
 
I use just sweetleaf and bottom bud for my hash bro, when Im trimming the fist step is taking all the fanleaves off into they're own pile, then the sweetleaf and fluff goes into the hash pile. I let it sit out overnight then either make the batch or tripple wrap it and freeze it, it never stays in the feezer more than 10 days, according to a few well know hash makers this is fine to do and I havent noticed any difference myself.
 
Thanks for the great info guys. Sorry for jacking your thread lol. I've always thought fan leaves/stems would be for edibles and sugar leaf/lower buds would be used for hash/oil but I wasn't positive. I don't think I'd ever use the good nugs even though I've heard that the best hash/oil is made from nugs.
