Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Thanks Mcloadie:Namaste: im kinda worried worried about using RO water now...I ll add some ca/mag and epson salts to the mix just incase, these girls are alot bigger and hopefully can handle change better than the small girls that were in the system.
after about an hr the plants looked a little shocked, some of them drooped but this morning it looked like they were recovering, I hosed them down good with insecticided and then brought them into a totally different enviroment, its cooler in there than outside and obviously the light source is totally different and the co2 levels are double so I was expecting some shock, we'll see in about 3 hrs when the lights come on how bad the shock is, I think they will be fine. The only problem I forsee is they are too tall for the room, Im pretty sure theres at least 1 probably 2 male BD in there, once I confirm that and get them out there will be more room to spread them out and tie them down, hopefully thats enough:)
I am very interested in seeing the supersoil at work, I used triple sixteen along with calmag and the liquid blue, and if I would have done the applications at the correct time I think that regimen is a winner. The nutrient companies made a lot of money with all the this and that we need to use with a system, but I think that cow is just about dry, especially with the advent and popularity that is growing with the supersoils. I'm probly as excited about what you're doing as you are...LOL!:cheertwo:

YA YA!, Maybe half the R/o for a while, plants seem to hate rapid extreme changes, remember when I put the bpn to those plants and it shocked the hell out of em?, I'm using it now and the plants love it! Same water, soil, environment.............I need to work with the liquid blue more.....my buds blew up, but they seemed like they grew faster than the plant could support the growth. Next run will be organic.....with the exception of the blue. I just about wore out my pH tools tryin ta figure this crap out, I quit!, and I'm back on tap water and calmag..........the calmag worked better than the Epsom for me, but I may have had a calcium issue that the Epsom wasn't addressing.

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Hmm...buds bigger than the plants can support...thats not a bad problem to have bro:rofl::rofl: I have the epson salts because theres not really much mag in cal mag so its just incase:)

LOL, no, I meant that the plants system didn't produce enough plant material...the buds blew up, but were less than as dense asi would have liked. The buds growing now are way denser......with at least a month to go!

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Yea Jon I agree with you. I'm going to get Doc Buds HB, he's proven that it work. But I'll finish all the BPN. The new plants look great.
:peace:

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Thanks bro:Namaste:Im not sold on High Brix yet tbo, as a comercial grower I need yield, with super soil ive seen many grows and vids from many different growers proving that you can get 1/2 pd + plants indoors without even trying, I havent seen that with High Brix anywhere yet or any cups for that matter(not sure if any HB nugs have ever been entered yet). I know it produces exellent quality product but so does supersoil and supersoil produces lots of it:)

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

ok so right off the hop it looks like "organic soil" like Roots Organic or Harvest Moon are not available anywhere near here so does anybody have any suggestions on what I can use thats available at say Home deeps or crappy tire, I can get all the other ingredients at the hydro shop but all they carry is promix for soil

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Where is your nearest farming community? I'm sure someone there sells a local organic soil....Now Home deeps, I don't mind the Vigoro organic...Have no issues with bugs for a few years now like some other soils...Sourced local organic finally this year, really excited for next season!

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Hey Happy Canada day yesterday:)
don't you have any nurseries near you? I get my soil from them. its their mix and is reasonably cheap plus high quality. then you can amend it as needed. not to argue with Legit but I have brought home critters from HD. now it may be from old stock but the nursery has never steered me wrong.
this is the last bit of charge on my brain cell so.....rojer over and out wilco:)
no farms this far north bro, nothing but rock here lol...Vigoro, I ll have to read whats in it, is it simillar to any of the base soils Subcool mentions?

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

good one:)
You could use a soilless base honestly if you had to but fish is right, a quality nursery would easily be able to source your base!

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

I found this stuff for 4 bucks a bag and I took pics of whats in it but of course my phone is screwed up and I cant find them.there are nurseries here I ll have to look into more of them the ones I call didnt have anything even close to what Sub mentioned.
ASB Greenworld Organic Flower & Vegetable Soil, 1 cu.ft.

Dosen't sound like what you want, with the organic nutrients. Who knows tho, it's the experimenting that sucks!

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

I have used Promix Organic.

Lots of good stuff in it, and I loaded it with some Happy Frog and/or Dr Earth powdered organic nute products that have some of the ingredients mentioned in Super Soil recipe.

I have used it mineralized and non mineralized, both with very good results.

Unfortunately I didn't cook any of the soils (except for Docs kit) as I am usually pressed for time and space to get a grow up and running. I think cooking might have been what was needed to push my grows from very good to excellent.

I haven't used it with only water though. But the teas I used were on the light side of the recommended instructions on the Dr Earth bag.

It does seem to hold a lot of water, so I always add some perlite.

Although I think they would have done quite well with water only.

I really like DrE also.

The teas made with Dr E Bud and Bloom were way frothier than the ones made with Happy Frog.

If I'm not mistaken the bag calls for one cup powdered nutes per gallon. I stay on the light side and usually only use a cup, two max per 5 gallons. Each plant gets about a gallon and a quarter of tea and the plants love it.

I used the Dr Earth soil once, but I think that's where the fungus gnat invasion came from. I opened a partial bag I had left over well into my grow and a few flew out.

The flower girl and the vegetable are my faves for teas, I only use a tbsp. for a coupla gallons, I used to use a quarter cup but I burnt some plants with it and got scared. I have made teas with just de soil too, but I prefer the nutes. I think all the de products are pretty good, I don't care for the seaweed stuff, it stinks and my plants didn't like it.
