Jon’s 3 Autoflower - 3 Pounds Attempt Grow

Ok, I don't know what happened, but I've not been notified of new posts to this thread for a couple of weeks. Someone mentioned you in another thread and it occurred to me I hadn't seen any posts from you in a while. This is the second time this has happened. It's like Big Tech is trying to protect me from your pics. :laughtwo:

So, a bit of catching up to do. I better get on it as those pics and posts aren't going to read themselves. 🙄

They're all looking incredible Jon, but give me some of that White Widow. Gorgeous :yummy: Oh, and how 'bout them Eagles!
You must be referring to the only undefeated team in the league. Yes. Sounds like them. Lol!

The most interesting thing here is “someone mentioned you in another thread.” Am I in trouble again?

Ok guys, I’d like to share some news in my personal life if you don’t mind.

I’m a father and I had twins!!! Twin girls!!!

Ok I’m 58 and unmarried. I didn’t have human twins. Unless I miss my guess, I think I have experienced for the first time a seed giving me twins!

This is a Crescendo sprout from Ethos. It’s the beginning of the outdoor grow for another journal, but this was so cool I had to share it here. Check out the picture. I popped one seed. It looked like the tap was a bit odd, but they come out every which way so I didn’t think much of it. Just planted it like I always do. Now at three days old she has defined herself, and to my eyes it looks like twins. We have them, why can’t a plant? Is this a thing? Have any of you guys had this happen? If so, what happens? I can’t wait to see. I suspect it will choke itself out, or maybe one will as the other establishes dominance. Don’t think it will live three weeks. But who knows? Seriously - does anyone actually know? Lol.

Here’s my babies.

Hey Jon,
On behalf your readers, I'd like to take you through this roller-coaster

But still counts (kinda), so congratulations all the same!

Forbidden Runtz
Day 87

I am reasonably certain this girl comes down in the morning.

So….they laughed at Sombrero training. Said it wouldn’t work very well. Said the upper colas would rob all the light from the lower ones and the lower ring will be flarfy and not well developed. Said that making colas from first node branches was a waste of time and nutes. For real. Some of my non forum grower friends told me that shit. Said there’s a reason people don’t train that way.

Really?

1. The whole plant.

2. What the bud tops look like.

3. Here’s the upper ring. Huge, dense, perfect colas. One of the more attractive plants I’ve grown in terms of how the buds look.

4. Here’s the main (dominant) cola on the plant (some of her, lol). Obviously also upper ring.

5. Now let’s look at the lower ring. I’m particularly fond of this little mini row here.

6. And another lower ring bud.

7. This one is both a lower ring bud AND a first node bud. This is a SIDE BRANCH off the FIRST node which ends up higher.
(Forgive so many all caps - when people talk shit with no personal experience it gets me a bit riled up and I badly want to prove them wrong). One side branch. Incredible.

So there you go. You be the judge.

Naw, all positive.

I’m a father and I had twins!!! Twin girls!!!
@Grand Daddy Black had twins in one of his recent grows. Grew them out as germinated . I think he was disappointed in the weaker one, never really grew like he wanted.

Well, all of that is likely still true for them. Carry on.

Watermelon WeddingCake
Day 88

Part of why this plant is my first ever repeat of growing a strain is cuz her buds are just so damn colorful. I get revved up just looking at this one. The orange is shocking - not sue how well it comes across in pictures, but man…Towards the end they start to put out some purples and pinks, which is way more subtle than the oranges. They just look so cool I don’t even want to chop it down (kind of the opposite of usual where by now I’m usually sick of looking at it).

Here’s how she looks today. All we’re waiting on with Melissa is for her hairs to curl inwards and the buds to tighten up a little. She’s at the I can take her whenever point. No amber yet. This one I’m going to pluck at the very first sign of amber, as her sativa kick is a nice ass whooping. She’ll make a lovely contrast with the Forbidden Runtz.

Here’s the obligatory White Widow picture. This is her right side, and shows maybe a quarter of the plant. A couple things about this strain that makes her my soon to be my second repeat.

- The frosty, snow covered look is a thing of beauty. As shocking in its own way as the orange on the Watermelon WeddingCake. Mezmerizing. Hypnotic. They say eating begins with the eyes, and I can attest to that after years and years in the restaurant industry. Well, one might make the argument that smoking begins with the eyes as well. If so, this plant has that covered.

- She’s literally a bud factory. This plant has so many tops it’s insane, with only the most minimal of training. I did not create what you see with LST or HST or anything like that. The plant did this basically on its own. Can’t even guess at the yield but whoa is she a yielder.

- The buds themselves are beyond dense. Like little rocks. The plant has a gorgeous sativa type shape to the branches and buds. Not sure if they are all like this one. Every seedbank sells this strain, when I was choosing the seeds I went to all my go to’s and they all had it. I ended up going with Pacific Seed Bank, selling the Original Harvest version of WW. I’m always leery when trying a new seedbank and especially a new genetic. This one worked out very well.

Here’s one picture as described.

I can't believe you didn't submit the WW this month!
Here’s the thing - I honestly was first going to submit the WWC, but by the time it was time, I had lost some upper fans and had some still showing the arrested Mg deficiency. I felt she wasn’t photogenically at her best. So then I was gonna submit the WW. I was 50/50 on them - both were gorgeous. I went with the WW as backup cuz I thought a lot of us have grown it here, and I don’t necessarily think mine looks any different or better than many I’ve seen. (I try to stay objective, lol). I haven’t seen anyone else grow the WWC yet. Anyway so I was all set to get a great picture of the WW. I was gonna take her out of the tent and give her a background and all that good stuff. Then dude put up that outdoor plant that blew my mind (I embarrassed myself kissing his ass in the contest thread). I can’t compete with that this month. Least I didn’t think so. But don’t worry, she’s going to be around for November. With a finished look. Then we will see what’s up. She has at least til November 1.

Btw - looks as if she may give up a bit of color after all!

HARVEST
Day 89
Medusa
Forbidden Runtz XXL Autoflower

What a joy to grow this girl was. More on that later. For now let’s just check out some harvest pictures. They require no explanation.

There’s no rest for the wicked. The Watermelon WeddingCake is days away. By trichomes I could take her today. I’m all completely white and can only find the occasional single amber here and there. We’ll give her a few more days for the hairs to curl in. I have to create more space inside. Too dry here now to use the tent. I’d have to use my dehumidifier as a humidifier.

White Widow
Day 80

This girl is getting close too! Damn. Thought I staggered this grow a bit more effectively. I’m going to be in trim jail for a while.

I’m flummoxed by the look of this plant. Never seen buds, or a plant, with this look to it. She sparkles. It’s as if it snowed a light dusting the night before. And the buds - I can’t figure if they want to develop any color or stay white like this. Every time I see the beginning of color that’s it. It seems to be holding as is, ie, the colors isn’t deepening or changing. Just a smattering of pinkish, very light colored hairs. Odd. As I’ve said…a most aptly named plant.
