John's Wicked Bloom Room: Powered By Budget LED

Now there is a new "John Wick" movie - #3

You're right, I really liked it but I promised not to leak anything out on this thread until a good friend that may pop in see's it.
Promises made, Promises Kept.
At least the dog doesn't get bumped off this time.

And only 5 days from 12/12- Those girls are eager to get this show on the road !

No kidding, I really think they love the "reds" on these boards.

Comedy is always welcome wherever I'm at. Most places need it these days. Everyone is always so uptight.

But not me. :headbanger::headbanger::headbanger:

Bring it on! :woohoo:

Warning, no "Debbie Downer's" allowed. :cheer:

Driver's out.
I put my two driver's on a steel rack that I had left over from my machine shop day's.
I also bought a "cookie" cooling rack and laid them on top of that, with a small fan blowing on the two.
Here take a look . . .

Been looking at OBs for a while now, thanks for showing the results :)

One question I see you have placed the DRIVERS outside of the tent.
Do you by chance have a laser type temp gauges ? I am curious to know
the Temp coming off the Driver ? and at what percentage they are running
when readings are taken.

Also if you can take a reading on the back side of the Light ? I would be
curious to know the temp being generated at that point also.

Thanks for posting this

Hi Gazoo, welcome to the "funny farm" and thanks for stopping by.
No, I don't have that kind of equipment, but I can almost answer your questions.
The lights are running at 80% right now, I can touch the top of both heatsinks and their cool and because the driver's are outside on a cookie cooling rack with a fan blowing on top and airflow on the bottom, their just over luke warm to the touch.
Without the cookie cooler rack and cheap fan blowing on them their hot to the touch.
I hope this explains everything okay.
I want these expensive
meanwell driver's to last a long time so I'm doing everything I can to make that happen.

Peace, comedy and good vibes to you. :slide:

Thanks I like the fact they are getting cooled with only the fans blowing on them. :goodjob:

I was concerned since others have reported 110F + being thrown off. sounds like splitting off
the drivers is the way to go in a smaller size tent, Thanks

My driver's run from 100-125°f at 50-75% load

My boards are different so not relevant.

Morning all, let's get all caught up.
Today is day six of flower and the ladies are really digging these light's. :woohoo:
Feeding tonight was 2tsp./g Fox Farm Big Bloom, 1tsp./g Maple Syrup and 5cc/g cal-Mag.
the super cropping seems to be helpng.
Thanks to Carcass making a killer suggestion, I have a heavy duty 12" turntable and sprayer to water with coming from Zon tomorrow.
For those that don't know I have extensive spinal damage and watering was really hurting me.
Thank you Carcass.
I'm also going to tie them wide so I can complete this grow and not run out of room. :snowboating:

Welcome to the Bloom Room Hash Hound.

It say's Maple Pancake syrup on the jug, the cheaper the better. (the girl's don't know this, so don't tell):rofl::laugh:

Welcome Ronbo, it depends on the size of your grow space.
Budget LED build's light's for every budget. Anything from 120 true Watt's from the wall to 500 true Watt's from the wall.
So how big is your grow space, I'm asking so I can show you a few options.
Mine are 2-Red Spec 250 Watt each Quantum Boards.
I'm using them in a 4'x4'x6.5" grow tent. They cost $299.99 each and free shipping with a 3 year warranty.

Hi Preston I just noticed that you stopped by for a peak at my Flowering journal.
Thanks for stopping by, how's the new job treating you?

No kidding, all work and no fun makes a dull day.
This has to be the first time since I came to this site that you don't have a grow going on. What's up with that?
