John's Wicked Bloom Room: Powered By Budget LED

I had to start bending one of mine down about 5 days ago- my first time supercropping...
I assumed you bent them, and that's it-but they keep growing back up, so I've gotta bend them again.
The bending is apparently a continuous process till they stop stretching (which I hope is soon).

I know I have to do the same thing, but I'm a little scared to hurt them.

I hear your plants singing an old song, "Bend me, shape me, any way you want me". Oh boy hope that didn't sound offensive, it is a real song lol

Perfect, I like that song. :goodjob:

Good move, my tent is running at only 72*, I have my two driver's outside on steel racks, on top of cookie cooling racks with a cheap fan blowing on them.
My Mars-Hydro blurple light's made my tent run at 82*.

I actually saw this in your journal and have already bought a shelf to steal the idea !!!

but I'm a little scared to hurt them.
Don't be scared John- I had 2 branches crack halfway through the stem-thought I killed 'em,
but within an hour they were both bending back up toward the light...
Just mash the stem between your fingers before you start the bending-I use a little piece of half inch PVC pipe, and kind of roll it a little while mashing hard with my thumb-I flatten about an inch and a half of the stem
like this:

The stem may just flop over after you do this-and that's what you want-not to worry,it'll start growing upward again within a few hours.

Very cool, that's why I shared it with everyone. Don't forget the cookie cooler, it plays a major part, at Walmart $2.00 buck's. :thumb:

Thank you CarCass, I'll do it your way I have some pvc pipe layin around.

That's a good tip right there! :D

Morning all, let's get all caught up.
Feeding tonight was 2tsp./g Fox Farm Big Bloom, 1tsp./g Maple Syrup and 5cc/g cal-Mag.
Plant's were watered using Emilya's "How to water a potted plant" method.
The link to do this is below on my signature box for those that haven't yet tried it.

Flower update:

Last Thursday September 26th at 6 pm I shut the light's off for 24 hours.
I woke up the ladies at 6 pm Friday September 27th.
Sunday the 29th was the official Day 1 of flower.

After CarCass left me the message and photo of encouragement, I went in and carefully bent some problematic stems down. I was lucky and didn't break anything. So take a look . .

So this is what they looked like just hours after I bent them.

It's amazing how these plant's can take a beating and bounce back and curl up to the light's so fast.

Good job,John !

It really is... you can almost watch them bend themselves back up toward the light...
Speaking of amazing...your plants are looking great, John!

Thank you CarCass, I'd still be thinking about bending them if you hadn't of jumped in. :adore:
No kidding, I really was afraid on destroying them.
Hey Buddy, thanks again for the encouraging photo and guiding words.
Peace and Green Day's to you.

thanks again for the encouraging photo and guiding words.
I'm just glad I could help you "break the ice".
Good job on the bending,too-I broke 3 stems- not all the way off,but halfway through
Even almost breaking them off doesn't seem to bother the plant at all-these girls are tough!

Hey John, what is the maple syrup for (besidesmaking me hungry)?

This is what I read about it and it's cheaper than buying the same thing for ten times the price with some kind of funky and catchy trademark name.

For gardeners the sweet syrup can work as a carbohydrate source to feed and stimulate microorganisms. And, because syrup (average NPK 1-0-5) contains potash, sulfur, and many trace minerals, it can serve as a nutritious soil amendment. Syrup is also an excellent chelating agent. :green_heart:
Great to see you Ms. N,
did you finish your harvest?

Morning, John. Your sea of green is mind blowing.
Those new Budget LED's have taken your hard work and will make it Bloom.
Great job. You deserve all the blessings. :thumb: :green_heart:

Thank you, Ms. N.
These Light's are amazing with way the plant's have reacted to them.
It was only ten hours between the time CarCass posted the instructions and the photo with them "Turning up" to the Light's.

Thanks for the maple syrup info. I use molasses but I will also incorporate the syrup. As long as our grandson doesn't eat it all up on his "swaffles. Lol

We have chopped down 5 ladies. Trimming last of it today. Got oil cooking too.

Check out the roots

I'm just guessing but if you already use molasses, I wouldn't double up and use both. Seems like a waste, for me I'm too cheap to buy both anyway.
Let's see a close up on your trunks and root balls, they're big and beautiful. :bravo:
