Joe's Grows

I am still carrying the memory of an accidentally droughted plant I grew close to 15 years ago. It was just from bag seed, but after getting wilted in a too small pot all thru Summer, and then harvested with about 15% amber, the result was really top class, way better than the buds it came from.
I want good genetics too, but that experience made me wonder how much is it to do with how we grow/water it, and how long we do so before the chop, as usually the weather causes me to harvest before I get the full amount of amber I want.
Do you run a fan with your indoor? I was wondering if I used a spare bathroom over winter when heat shouldn't be an issue from LEDs, and whether I could get away with just sealing the window and running the light?
I suppose any seeds, bagseed or otherwise, can produce a great phenotype, and yes it makes sense that how we grow/water it makes a difference. The trouble I've found with bagseed is that it's a gamble, could be anything, hermaphrodite, male, cabbage, lol. Or something special. That's the gamble, roll of the dice.

In my tent, I have a small oscillating fan blowing over the seedling, helps with airflow and to strengthen the stalk. Not a storm, more like a gentle breeze at the moment. I also have an extractor fan with a carbon filter, for the smell, as well as the airflow through the tent.
If you're going to use the bathroom, you need airflow into the room from somewhere dry, and airflow out of the room via extractor fan. If the room has a vent, that would be a handy exhaust.
One of my first mistakes was not having airflow in the tent and the next day the walls were dripping wet with condensation. It's surprising how much moisture plants produce in a sealed area.

Forgot to add pics :smokin2:

Close to half a pound is very handy indeed. I'm stoked.
I was hoping my friend could order some seeds for me since I'm not very good at the interwebs :hmmmm: but he hasn't come through yet. Fingers crossed.
I've got lots of bagseed, and since one popped up randomly I've decided to go with it for now. I enjoy the growing as well, I feel like something is missing when I don't have a plant going.
Joe if you send me an email, and we work out an address for me to send you 2 seeds, I would be so happy to share 2 of my seeds with you. Xo

A little bit about my watering schedule.
The soil I used for the new baby was moist when I filled the pot, and I just misted the sphagnum moss to keep the surface damp for a few days until the plant showed signs of growth. I also gave it a couple of ltrs down the edges of the pot, just to keep the soil on the sides from drying out too fast. Now that I see movement, I made up .5 ltrs of 'organic acids' for her first drink. Most of it went in a circle around the plant, (as emilya says to do), and maybe 50-100mls directly to the root area. I'm going to try my best to build a decent root system.
So far I'm seeing a happy seedling with nice short internodal spacing.

Your cleanliness and order makes my heart sing!

I can’t wait to see what you do with your Zkittles. Just so you know, I really wanted to grow that plant, but I needed to see you grow it more, if that makes sense.

Lucky you can't see outside the tent then, it's definitely not as clean or orderly as it is inside.

I promise to do my best, I'm gonna grow the shit out of it. I'm so excited.

BIG SMILING!

Pretty boring in the tent at the moment, it's like watching paint dry, or watching grass grow. ;) I'm really impatient.

I haven't watered the plant since Saturday, but I've been keeping the sphagnum slightly damp.
I foliar sprayed last night at lights out with the 'organic acids', and I gave her a small drink (100ml) at the base of the stem.
I'm using a moisture meter to get an idea of how much water is present in the pot.
I probably won't water again for another few days.

I've noticed what looks like a possible magnesium deficiency, it's hard to see in the picture, but the leaves are slightly pale in between the veins of the leaves.
First, I made up a cal-mag foliar spray and gave her a dose, shortly after which I remembered that I shouldn't spray with the light on, dumb arse :eye-roll:I'll give her another dose at lights out.
I also decided to top dress with the 4-4-4, some kelp meal, and some frass meal. I concentrated the amendments towards the outside 6in of the pot, since that's where I'm watering. The top dressing will take a while to kick in.
Then I gave her a drink with organic acids and yucca extract, in 3.5ltrs water (about a gallon), around the outside 6in of the pot.

I checked the ppfd with the app, looks good.

Another seedling popped up outside in the aloe vera pot. I'm starting to wonder how many I dropped in there :hmmmm:
It can stay there for now, sink or swim.

I think the cal-mag foliar spray is working, the leaves seem to be greener now.

I topped my girl today. I plan to quadline her, but we know how my plans change every 5 minutes, last night I was going to flip early and not top at all
