are you gonna use them together or in place of? i just went to their website.....they look like advanced leds diamond series......everything looks the same except the prices:).....what a difference:).....looks and sounds like a kick ass light though:)

Im going to use the p450 in my flowering tent, and Ill use my mars in a Veg tent or give it away to one of my local buddies once I get some extra cash for a 2nd platinum.
I don't really know anything about Advanced LEDs, but the results Ive seen from the various growers here using Platinum are outstanding.
Compared to what Im using now, its basically comparing a 480p tv to a 1080p tv. The platinum lights have better par, more bands, less exhaust heat, and since they're using lower power higher quality LEDs the lifetime is much longer to boot.
And its compounded when you think about the number of lights each units uses. a p450 uses 150 3w leds, the mars II 1200 uses 240 5w leds.

Led vs Led the mars has a higher heat output, combine that with the 90 additional lights, and you can see where the additional heat comes from. That heat, regardless of how state of the art your cooling system, degrades your equipment and shortens its lifespan.
Then ofcourse, you know, the power savings lol.
 
Makes sense Jinn.....i love the results so far from my mars lights, but i also read these other journals and see the results with the same or less wattage, less heat by up to 10 to 15 degrees cooler, much brighter and higer output it makes me wonder if the investment isnt worth it.....i am definately in the market to upgrade....have my eyes on a couple just waiting to save up the ends to make it happen:)
 
Im basically in the same exact boat man, I mean my nodes are tight, my growth is excellent, but it could be a lot , and a lot cooler.
Im a disabled vet living on a fixed income, so the lights are a waiting game for me too, just saving up for em'

Same here bro....disabled vet and fixed income......that is why i get so aggravated when i go to some of these light companies and wow at the prices......who can really afford some of them.....i understand quality but it seems some of them go overboard....but what do i know except that if i want the quality and quanity that some of the other growers get then i have to bite the bullet and pay the piper:)....ok..sorry....end of rant:)....:)lol

If they made the green guardian pull double duty, and act as a sunglasses holder too, I'd buy one =p
(i know i cant be the only one that has like 3 pairs of sunglasses around the grow area hahaha)
 
nothing major to report today, decided to hold off on feeding the girls until after I take the clones.
Tomorrow is cloning day for me, and it shall be my first go at it.
Once Im done cutting, cloning, and feeding Ill give the girls a few hours to pretty themselves up before taking pictures for you guys!

Since pineapple is too small, ill just be taking clones from CSSH.
Ive got a few bottom branches I'll be taking off, since Im gonna add a little more coco/perlite to the buckets while im mixing a new batch for the clones.
And what I'm gonna do clone wise, is cut, keep em in a cup of water, until i dip into clonex gel and squeeze it into a rapid rooter plug.
Ive got 2l bottles im going to turn into humidity domes, once I get roots through the plug Ill transplant into my hempy cups.

I trimmed silver, and took 3 clones, also added some more coco to her bucket.
Then fed the girls. I'll take pictures in 5 hours or so after everyone has had time to get ready for the camera =p

Silver looks a little yellow, but thats because I hadn't fed them in a few days, since the feeding today she should be good as gold by tomorrow.
And little miss pineapple chunk is doing great, she is growing into a little dense cube shaped bush of goodness.(even though my horrible camera skills do not show it lol)
