Jinn's Coco Hempy Harem 2014

You'll soon learn something about me Jinn. I do me! Flux what or how everyone else does. I read each post of every thread I follow & love pics. My likes are not a praise or some type of admiration but if I like a post I "Like" it. It's that simple! You do you & I'll do me. If you prefer I don't follow your grow let me know now & there will be no hard feelings.

And don't worry I won't "Like" your last post.

Welcome to my twisted, conflicted, go against the grain way of doing things. It's all good.

I dont want you to follow his journal or grow.......ITS ALL MINE.....lololololol:):)jk

hey jinn - been a while since I stopped in. Looking like everything is under control. Nice cuttings for the clones. It's funny, I was just thinking about setting up a new bubbler and cutting some clones, and I saw yours and realized how long it had been. I really prefer clones to seeds, it must be the "instant gratification" thing. Anyways, carry on green, my friend.

Hey there Jinn:) question for you....my liberty haze in the hempy foam cup is looking a little droopy....color and health looks good to me....i am watering with r/o water with a couple drops of rapid start in it......

As a guess, over watering? She looks good though, they can be very particular at that age :)

Don't know much about rapid start does it have cal mag in it? If not you might need to pick some up since ro water doesn't have any. Calcium deficiency can make them droopy. Learned that when my ph got to high in my dwc and locked out calcium my plants looked over watered but fine otherwise color and what not. Within 24 hrs of fixing the ph they perked back up. If rapid start has cal mag in it double check your run off ph.

this is my first go around cloning so im hoping this week long wait, is not in vain.
Ive had 100% success rate from seeds with the exception of my one blue ak seed that was set on fire; but cloning is something i feel i need to master, so here we are!
There are a lot of awesome diy cloners out there, I may end up making a proper cloning bucket and stop using my drying bin as a temporary clone apartment lol.

That young there shouldn't be any issues yet, especially if you're in hempy.
Try letting it dry up a little, don't water for 2 days or so see if that fixes the issue.
But if they continue to droop, hand water with small amounts of water several times a day.
sorry for the late reply!

this may be something I overlooked when answering Green, because whenever I water, I do so with cal/mag and silica added.
The only time I use straight water is for the flush.
But great tip mate.

Hey Jinn, I've had super good cloning success with peat blocks. Soaked them in bottled water pH of 7. Dipped clone in rooting gel, into peat block and under humidity dome.

Leave then for 7 - 21 days, misting the dome once or so a day with the same water.

Temps have dropped to say 8C and can be upwards of 27C.

It's my cheap, simple, forget method to cloning lol

well thats more or less whats going on here too, I soaked my rapid rooter plugs in ph'd water, then used my clonex gel on em'.
made sure to cut at 45 degree angles, kept them in water, and i keep about 92% rh in the Tesseract. So with any luck Ill have excellent results like you mate.
Can't wait to see the girls in flower nextweek!

:thanks:Jinn, Subnoise, and Mono:).....i just added cal/mag to the water and watered until it started coming out the drain hole....wil see if that helps if not then starting tomorrow i will try not watering for two days and see if that does the job:)...hopefully cal/mag will do it....so you all worry about the ph when they are that young.....all of my seedlings were started in plain r/o water with a few drops of rapid start and no ph ing until they are transplanted in the bigger containers....haven't had an issue, but this is my first hempy so maybe that is it as well.....:)....i am gonna test it just to see where it is at.....if no improvement maybe i will adjust the ph first before trying the drying out:).....we will get it and she will grow to be a glorious girl she will:)lol

I started with distilled, but im broke/fixed income, so Ive been using tap water for the last month. What I did from the start was add cal/mag/silica and ph'd. But that's because every hempy grow ive seen screams at you to check your ph EVERY time, even if Jesus stops by and is like 'nah man, that mix is good.' PH it any way.

Agreed I ph every thing but water for my soil. My clones, seedlings, coco, dwc, everything gets phed 5.5-6.1 I use tap water so i don't worry about cal mag but I have some for just in case. If you haven't been phing your water I'll almost guarantee you got some lock out as ro water is 7.0 or 8.0 can't remember and I believe cal mag will raise a bit. Correct me if I'm wrong but I have read about people using cal mag instead of ph up. But maybe that's just soil.

Small update, day 31.
I've never seen my plants rebound this fast after topping, fimming, and pruning. Normally there is noticeable stall in development for 5-7 days, it hasn't even been a full 3 days and already my plants have put on another inch and a half.
As per the usual, I will post pics in the afternoon!
happy Sit-around-all day =p
